The wedding had lasted for three days. It was extremely grand and the three girls were looking splendid and exceptional in those three days. Azure had worn a revealing dress and she noticed the way people stared at her marks but that was her pride and she wasn't going to change it for anybody. Truthfully, there had been series of surgeries that had been offered to her to get rid of her scars but she had refused them all.

Azure almost died from excitement when she saw her favorite artists at the reception.

Ed Sheeran, Billy Eilish, Jacob Perez and many others.

Right after the long lasting wedding, they all approached the airport and went to wherever it was they were going for their honeymoon. Azure had asked that they spend a month in at least one country in all the inhibited continents. Apart from painting, racing, drawing and keeping accounting books, she found great interest in traveling. She decided she'd make memories in every single place she went to, she'd take as much souvenirs as she could.

Africa, Europe, Asia, America, and Oceania (or Australia).

They visited Nigeria in Africa. It was fascinating how the people there were. They had over two hundred ethnic groups and over five hundred languages, their dressing was different and creative and the food was simply exquisite. Azure ate more than she ever thought she could however, the weather was too hot and as much as she'd miss it, she was happy to move to a much cooler place.

I'm Europe, they visited Albania and Azure found that her favorite dish there was the Tavë Kosi. They visited many castles and archaeological sites. They visited the National History Museum, with exhibits spanning antiquity to post-communism, and frescoed Et'hem Bey Mosque.

In Asia, they visited Oman. What Azure loved the most about them was the free medical care and a free education system. On many occasions, they witnessed the traditional sword dance, the woman hair rejection dance, local navigation dances, and the dance of Zanzibar. She threatened Grey to participate in traditional sports such as horse, camel, and canoe racing and we can all guess what she used to threaten him.

Similar things happened in Oceania and the Americas  but they had decided to return home to have the baby. No more traveling until the baby was born. They had decided to not find out the gender of the baby but they had placed their bets. If it is a girl just like Azure wanted, Grey would have to die his hair pink for an entire year and if it is a boy like Grey believed it would be, Azure would have to work at his own company as an accountant and not any other company.

**************

During her 32nd week, she started having back pains and bellyaches. She passed it off as common since she was pregnant. Once, she had woken up and seen a small pool of blood on the bed. She screamed and cried until Grey who had been taking a shower ran out and saw her.

He quickly called his chauffeur to get the car ready as he dried his body and put on some clothes. He cleaned her up and changed her clothes as well before they set out to go to the hospital.

An ultrasound sound was done when they got to the hospital and it was diagnosed that she had placental abruption. They said that since it was mild, she didn't need to give birth right away and that they'd just monitor her there at the hospital until it would be time to give birth. They assured her that she would be able to go home if the bleeding stopped and that panicking did nothing to help.

Grey stayed with her and tried to comfort her. She had no idea that the abuse would also affect her baby, she feared if anything happened to her baby she would go back into a state of depression.

The next few days went by with minor or no bleeding at all but the one day that the doctors said they'd let her go home the next day if the bleeding actually ceased, her condition developed from mild to moderate. The bleeding became severe and the abruption was worsening.

They told her and her husband that they needed to induce her labour and that she needed to give birth right away if the child was going to be born alive or if she was to survive it.

The bleeding was however becoming too much and they said that a c-section would have to be done to deliver the baby. She also needed blood transfusion since she was loosing so much blood and they were lucky enough to have a compatible blood donor.

During the surgery, the doctors informed Grey of the situation. Her bleeding was uncontrollable and so the only thing they could do was to perform hysterectomy on her. This would mean that she wouldn't be able to have anymore children.

Grey knew she wanted to have more children but at that moment her life was the most important to him. He signed the form given to him and the surgery was done.

Azure cried and cried when she woke up and was told what had happened. Her tears however turned to gladness when she saw her little bundle of joy. The boy was healthy and even though he was premature, he didn't need to be put in an incubator.

They told her that her baby was a miracle because usually, the baby was either stillborn or would usually have one problem or the other but after the tests they ran on the baby boy, it was seen that there were no issues at all. No breathing problem, no health condition. He was perfect.

She remembered the Psychic from their first date who told them about the Storm and it's calms. This was definitely the Calm after the storm.

The boy had Azure's eyes and pale skin but he had Grey's hair color, nose and lips. Although Azure had to stay in the hospital for some more time just so that she could be monitored, she didn't feel alone in the least bit. Her grandparents and Grey's Parents had come to visit her. The other two couples who were still on their honeymoon had flown back just to see the miracle baby. They brought flowers and a lot of gifts.

****************

"He is a boy." Grey said out of the blue causing Azure to let out a laugh.

"I can see that Sir."

"You do remember our bet don't you?"

"Shit!"

"He can hear you."

"Can he?"

"I've read that they can hear fairly."

"I'll watch my words from now on." She let out a laugh again when Grey leaned in and kissed her lips.

"You'll come work for me, yes?"

"Fine." Azure rolled her eyes at him.

"What would you like to call him Mrs. Corner?" Grey said as he stroked her hair while she carried her child. The others had gone to have lunch and would be back in an hour or two. It was rare for the couple to have any alone time and so they always saved the important talk for when they were alone. They wanted to choose their baby's name without being influenced by the others.

"While they took me in there, I could only think of one thing. This is Grey's child, it has to survive. I've lived and I've loved but this child hasn't even been born yet and it's suffering so much. Dear God, if saving my child means me losing my life then fine! Save this child! It's Grey's child and the moment I saw him, alive, I only thought of one thing. Grey's son"

"He is your son too."

"Greyson. That's what I want us to name him."

"It's an amazing name. And because he is our miracle baby who has brought us so much joy and happiness despite all that life has put us through, his middle name should be Asher."

"I like the sound of that. What does it mean?"

"It's Hebrew. It means happy or blessed. I know that because of this child, we will be happy forever. He is our blessing. Our son."

Azure smiled as her gaze returned to the tiny person on her laps. She tested the name several times in her mouth. She couldn't believe she brought a life into this world.

"Greyson Asher Corner"
