7 Loot

2 weeks passed by in a flash, and for 18 hours every day, Azazel was constantly working on improving his profound energy control, at the obvious cost of stagnation in his cultivation level, since he was still at the nascent realm first level. No matter, cultivation was the least of his worries if one takes into consideration his tender age of 12 years old. It allowed for his foundations to be much stronger and straightened out, he could increase his realm quite easily if he sets his mind on it in the future.

Once again, in the middle of the raging waters under the waterfall of the scarlet dragon mountain range, the body of an insignificant boy stood unmovable against all the unsurmountable pressure assaulting his being. A scarlet hue surrounded him, granting his countenance a grace that was otherworldly and arcane. Azazel bent his knees and jumped upwards like a bird seeking freedom after being imprisoned for years, his body soared through the skies without any signs of stopping its momentum.

The aura around him intensified and glowed brightly in response to his hands extending outwards towards the general location of the rocks below.

Activation took less than a second, for the circulation of his powers within the meridians already occurred near instantly. A congregation of scarlet profound energy began materializing per the will of his subconscious, taking the form of a large ball with a diameter of 50 and a height of around 40 meters.

The ball of energy flew downwards with the speed of a swallow and the strength of a raging bull; Making clean contact with the water below as it exploded to encompass the entirety of the waterfall, destroying all the rocks and evaporating half of the water present. One needs not an exaggerated intelligence to internalize that in the span of just 2 weeks, his mastery of profound energy has reached a level of an adept if not a master. His dedication and innate talent could thus be deducted as a result of that simple fact.

Azazel calmly floated downwards and lightly landed on the branch of a tree, his weight seemed almost non-existent for the branch itself did not even shift in position.

"Alright, Chief, I think we are done here." the boy half-heartedly spoke while dusting his plain white rob in nonchalance.

"Mm, I think so as well. It is time to explore the cave located not far from this mountain, there is something inside of it that will be very detrimental to your growth in the future."

Azazel narrowed his eyes, "Oh? And what is it?"

"The evil god seed, obviously. Unless you don't want it then that is also fine."

The boy lifted his chin in contemplance, the eerie silence of the forest facilitating the conjurance of his thoughts.

"I don't have the evil god profound veins though. Aren't the seeds only supposed to apply to those who inherit his legacy?" Asked Azazel in confusion.

"Foolish. This so-called evil god you speak of has no understanding nor knowledge of the divine body that I granted you. Do you really think I was speaking out of my ass when I said that the needle of catastrophe is the strongest physical foundation you can have?" The arrogance, as always, laced the voice of Chief, who was carefreely floating in the skies.

"Just take me to the cave and you will see what I'm talking about."

Azazel absentmindedly nodded, he was about to spring into action before a sudden thought derailed his departure.

"Shit chief, isn't there a dragon guarding the cave? How am I supposed to get the treasures inside."

"I said take me to the cave. Never did you hear me telling you that questions are allowed to be asked."

Azazel's eyebrow twitched annoyance, yet made no further protest. Patience and tolerance was a virtue all the same.

With a flick of his sleeve, he took into the skies, using the trees around the vicinity to glide forward at remarkable speed.

It took about 20 minutes to arrive at the general location of the cave, the scarlet dragon mountain was known to be slightly big after all. Besides, caution had to be exercised lest he encountered some overpowered beast that sealed his fate there and then.

Even from this distance, Azazel could particularly feel the behemoth of an entity that was the dragon slumbering inside of the cave. Its aura alone seemed so powerful that it warded off all beasts and humanoids alike from harboring thoughts of approaching its abode.

"Alright chief, what now?" Whispered the boy anxiously, he could not understand how in the hell they can manage to loot the treasures when the beats could rip them to shred with a flick of its claws.

Chief gave no answer. Instead, he calmly began floating inconspicuously inside of the cave, much to the gaping surprise of Azazel who was still cowering behind the bushes.

Chief was intangible in nature, how could physical attacks even harm it? There was no point in even worrying about possible attacks. Besides, it was very well aware that the dragon was sleeping. With his ghost-like physiology and the fact that there was no profound energy oozing off of his "body", there was no way the dragon could even hope to notice him.

Chief simply hovered above the flaming red bead that was placed next to the claws of the dragon.

What a filthy rich dragon, thought the spirit as he eyed all of the treasures glowing in the darkness.

Without further ado, the treasures began levitating in mid-air, slowly flying towards chief's location as if he was a black hole of some sort. The flaming evil seed followed suit by entering the spirit and disappearing completely. Soon, the place was looted completely.

Once more, without any noticeable disturbances, chief indifferently floated out of the cave, leaving behind him a sleeping dragon never to realize the unfortunate scenario it will witness after waking up.
