7 Chapter Seven

At the café.

Clara, Diego, August and Axel sat together at a table, having coffee.

"Yeah Martinez, what did you say to Stella?" August asked.

"What do you mean?" Axel replied.

"You know what I mean" August said. "Come on, did she tell you I said bad things to her? That girl freaks me out" Axel replied.

"How in the world does she freak you out, Stella is literally the sweetest person I know" Clara said.

"You guys don't get it, she stalks me" Axel defended.

"She stalks you?" Diego laughed.

"She does, yesterday, she was standing beside my hall, watching me, then after that, after my class, boom! She was standing beside the entrance" Axel explained.

"Maybe she likes you, you guys thinking what I'm thinking?" Diego said.

"She can't possibly like him or maybe she does" Clara said.

"Imagine she walked up to me, talked about she being there for me when I feel like talking" Axel said.

"Aww, she cares about you" Clara said.

"Care? She talked about MG!" Axel said.

"What's MG? The gang?" August asked. "Yeah" Axel said. "That's because we told her about it, that girl feels left out in everything, she doesn't have other friends you know" Clara said.

"You told her about the gang?" Axel uttered.

"Although I don't support August and Clara telling people about it, Stella deserves to know actually" Diego said.

"She's going to be your responsibility Axel" August said.

"My responsibility?" Axel asked.

"Yeah" Diego said.

"What exactly did you say to her? After all she said" Clara asked.

"I told her to stop meddling in my business and stay away from me" Axel replied.

"Bro, you said that?" August asked. "What do you expect me to say to someone stalking and saying stupid shit to me?" Axel said.

"You need to apologize" Clara said.

"I'm with Clara on this one" Diego said.

"Try to be nice to her, she's being nice to you and you're pushing her away" Clara said. "I'm not ready for this shit" Axel said before standing up, he walked towards the washroom.

I walked into the café to get some doughnuts when I noticed them sitting together.

"I'll take four of that" I said to the attendant. "Stella!" Clara called out. I turned back to face her when the attendant handed me my order.

"Hey" I said, walking towards them. "Hey Stella, sit with us" Clara said. I took a seat.

"What's up?" Diego asked. "I just came in to get some doughnuts" I replied. "Are you eating them here or?" August asked. "I don't know, do you guys care for?" I offered.

I dropped the box of doughnuts on the table and they served themselves. We began eating when Axel walked back into the café and to our table. "Why did you take so long?" Clara asked.

"How did she get here?" Axel said, glaring down at me. "Sorry, I'll be leaving now" I said nervously as I felt uncomfortable.

"Stay" August said.

"I think its better if I left" I uttered. "No one's chasing you Stella, stay" Diego said. Axel took a seat from the next table and sat down beside me.

The heat from his body is really pleasing.

Diego signalled Axel to apologize to me. Axel refused, "how are you preparing for mid terms?" Clara asked distracting me from noticing what the boys were doing.

"Its draining, I really hope it goes well" I replied. "Stella, Axel has something to say to you" august said, "say it" he continued. I stared at Axel, wondering what was about to come out of that mouth.

Damn even his lips were perfect.

"Sorry" Axel whispered. "What did you say?" I asked. "I said I'm sorry okay" he said loudly. "That's not how to apologize to a lady" Clara said.

"Solo di lo siento, correctamemte" Diego told Axel.

"Eso es lo que estoy haciendo" Axel replied before facing me. "I'm sorry for the way I reacted, everything I said, I'm sorry about that" Axel apologized. "Its okay" I replied.

Omg!!!

They all made eye contact, making it look even more weird than it already is.

After several hours of chattering, we finally walked back to campus.

At Axel's room.

"I'm walking you back to your dorm babe" Diego said to Clara. "I forgot to ask, are you guys going for that party?" Clara asked.

"What party?" August asked. "At Sammie's" Clara replied. "Oh that party, damn its going to be lit" Diego said. "We must go" Clara said. "When is the party?" I asked.

"After the mid terms, we'll be home by then, I could come pick you up" Clara said. "Okay, no problem" I replied.

"You still play basketball August?" Diego asked. "Hell yeah I do" August replied. "But I don't see you playing" Axel said. "That's because you don't have time for me, you don't know what i do" August replied.

"Sorry man, we could play sometime, at the court" Axel said. "I'm only going to say yes because I love it when I beat you" August replied. Axel smiled.

"There is going to be a program here tomorrow" Clara said after checking her phone. "What program?" I asked. "Check your phones" she said. We all checked our phones and got notifications.

"What is this about?" I asked. "You see, every year, the counselling majors bring up an event where they help people, through therapies and all" August explained.

"Oh" I exclaimed then exhaled.

Was I ready to share my problems? Definitely not.

"You look sad, what happened all of a sudden Stella?" Clara uttered.

Was it that obvious?

"I'm not sad, I was just over thinking, I think I need a long rest" I said.

"Well baby, if you want to talk to anyone, we're here for you okay" Clara assured.

"Do you want to go now?" August asked me. "I think" I replied. "Then let's go" Diego said, "are you coming with us Martinez?" August asked.

"No, I'll just walk you all halfway" Axel said. We got up, walked out of the room and to the entrance of the dorm where we stood for a while.

"Hey Axel, I know deep down, that apology wasn't from your mind but I accept it either way, remember if you need anyone, call me" I said. "I don't need you, I'm fine and by the way, we aren't friends so stop acting like we are" he replied coldbloodedly.

Shit.

I stared at him.

Questioning myself why I brought it up again, why?! Why?! Why?!

"Let's go" Clara said as we walked away from Axel.
