39 Savior

"No.....Please spare me!!! You can take all my gold if you need-----but just leave me alone!!" the girl whimpered loudly.

With skin as fair as the shining moonlight, the translucent glow of her skin seemed to permeate the surrounding air around her. A long braid falling behind her petite shoulders seemed to overshadow her baby like face and big round eyes. Her coy and adorable aura seemed to call out to male instincts to coddle her all to yourself all day. It seemed like an impossible situation not to help the damsel in distress.

"Hehehe, I'll think about it....I just love the way you are begging me...It's making me want to taste you even more!!!!!" the devilish figure exclaimed.

Large hairy arms and flabby chest protruded in the open as his dirty brown robe fluttered in the wind. His moss like beard and afro hairstyle made him look like a middle aged labor worker and his skin was tanned like the color of maple trees. In his right hand was a long, curved scimitar that seemed to hover over the girl like a pendulum, waiting to strike its foe.

"Looks like a lone bandit that's on the run. Want to give a helping hand to that herbalist gal? I'll support you from afar." Baxtor inquired as they stood out in the open a few steps away from the event ahead of them.

Axel nodded his head and he swiftly jogged over. As they reached near the bandit, Axel drew his Short Sword and gripped it upright so the blade erected like a tall tree.

"Stop right there!" Axel yelled.

At this moment, the bandit's eyes lit up and turned his body towards Axel.

"Hey, get out of this business if you want to live....or do you want a join in on the fun too? Hahahahaha!!!!" the bandit grinned wickedly.

"Please help me!!" the girl pleaded to Axel who looked like a knight in shining armor to her at this moment. Although his mysterious heavy robe seemed to cover this young man in a mysterious air, the combat stance seemed to entrance the girl into the floating clouds in her head.

Axel took no moment of rest and slashed at the bandit. Just as the blade was about to hit his chest, the bandit suddenly vanished in thin air. The next moment, the bandit appeared behind the girl and blunted the back of the scimitar into the girl's shins.

"Ppppppppuuuuutttttt!!!!!"

The girl fell to the ground like a doll and the bandit laughed like a clown.

"I can't believe his movements were that quick.....He must be using the 'Charge' skill.....and a high ranked one at that....I'd better be careful...." Axel thought to himself.

The most surprising part about the bandit's 'Charge' was not in its speed, but rather how he had used the skill while 'Shield-Less'. In the original game of Mabinogi, the human race could not use 'Charge' unless they had a special reforged item that allowed them to use 'Charge' Shield-Less. This mystery could be fatal to Axel who knew that the world he had transmigrated into was not as simple as the game he had once conquered.

As he tried to lunge forward to engage the bandit, a scimitar rolled over just slightly above the girl's neck.

"Hold on a second Mister Black Robe guy, I don't want things to get too rough....and I know you have a helper somewhere hidden." the bandit chuckled.

"Sh*t!" Axel cursed to himself. He knew that if he used his Incubus abilities, he could instantly take over this hostage situation, but he did not want to risk the chances of anyone seeing his skills in full action, for the consequences would be heavy.

Just as Axel was sighing, a silent arrow pierced the hand of the bandit and the bandit cried like a cow. His hand slipped from the scimitar and the weapon dropped to the ground in a flash. In this instance, Axel ran up like a madman and sliced the bandit's throat as if he was filleting a raw fish.

"Piiiiiioossssshhhhh!!!!!"

Blood pour out like a overrun fountain and the bandit fell into its own pool of blood.

"Looks like you have a long ways to go before you can fight without relying on those cheat like abilities of yours!" Baxtor laughed heartily.

"All you know is how to make fun of me!" Axel softly cried out. But Baxtor was right. If he kept on using his Incubus abilities whenever he wished, he would run into a difficult situation sometime in the near future. He had to hone his "human" abilities little by little with hard work before he could be considered as strong as Master Max.

Seeing the girl a bit dirtied by the splattering of blood earlier, Axel took the initiative to pick her up in a princess hug, and went his way back to town.

...

By the time they had gotten back, it was already getting dark and the food stalls in the Dunbarton plaza was bustling with chatter.

"I'll help you turn in your apple gathering quest earlier. Go help the girl settle down at Uncle Simon's place." Baxtor said as he walked over to the request board.

As soon as Axel walked into Simon's Clothing Shop, he felt a sense of relief all of a sudden. His legs were like lead after carrying a teenage girl a few miles back into town. He had never known that this little girl would weigh this much! Despite a small figure, it seemed that she had a well built body and muscles that donned a lot of weight. Every step up the stairs seemed to draw every last of his breath away from inside his shriveled lungs.

By the time he was upstairs, he put the girl on his bed, and sat on the bed as well. He had been so tired that eventually he laid down and fell asleep, unaware of the girl next to him.
