21 Anti-Magic Robe!

Axel eyed the invisible imp closely. The imp looked the same any normal imp, with the exception of a magical necklace around its body. The small blue gemstones that glimmered with faint signs of Mana slightly leaked out in the dungeon lobby, which soothed Axel's mana pool upon sensing it.

"I'm not here to cause any trouble! And Mr. Imp, I'm not much different from you now that I've been cursed by Cichol." Axel spoke softly.

"Ha! Do you have the qualifications to say our great God's name? And to be cursed? You should consider your half baked Incubus form a blessing from the Great One!", the Invisible Imp grunted.

"Mr. Imp, what do you mean by half-baked?" Axel asked with as one of his eyebrows moved up.

"Stop calling me Mr. Imp! My name is Krofer and I am one of the elders of the Imp clan! Half-baked means half-baked! I've never seen such a weak Incubus before! Your mana pool isn't even 1/3 of what a normal Incubus holds, and not to mention your physique is as weak as the common human farmers out there!" Krofer remarked sharply.

Krofer's response seemed to give Axel a mental shock in a sense. He had remembered that 500 Mana Points was not a low amount of mana to have in the early phases of the Mabinogi game, and it was even sufficient to use intermediate magic 5 times in a row until the mana pool was depleted. Even Bel that had released the Fireball in the Field Boss region in Tir Chonaill did not seem to have the amount of mana that Axel currently had with the aid of the Incubus Overlord transformation.

"Sorry about all the questions, and I know that I pale in comparison to all the Fomor brothers and sisters in this dungeon lobby, but I wish to return to the human community! It's quite difficult to live a life as a Fomor! Mr. Krofer, would you know of a method to conceal my large mana pool, as well as changing my appearance in some way?" Axel asked desperately.

"Hmm, it does seem cruel for you to join us Fomors since you are a human, but also transformed as a Incubus at the moment...Tell you what! As long as you don't tell anyone about the broken Goddess Seal on this Fiodh Dungeon, I will give you a rare equipment that I've crafted using my magical forces." Krofer said as he smiled at Axel.

"What might that be?" Axel questioned seriously.

Krofer turned his back, and pulled out large black robe with some white embroideries inside the hood and the sleeves from one of the chests that were in the space where he resided. He then quickly wore the robe that seemed to make him look like a rag doll from the outside.

"Do you see the effects of this robe? A great portion of your innate mana pool can be concealed when wearing this. Not only that, it will provide a change to your current status window such as modifying your current name, and overall identity as an adventurer." Krofer mumbled as he tried to take the robe off himself.

Axel went over and took the robe off for Krofer and also tried the robe on as well. In an instant, he felt that his mana pool had been clouded and his senses seemed to dim as well.

"How do you like it? Since you're so courteous and know the hardships of being a Fomor, I'll sell it to you for a discount. Emmmm, how about 5000 gold?" Krofer said as he put all five fingers up in the air to signal the price tag of the robe.

Axel's face immediately became green. 5000 gold for a single robe! This was no different than robbery as even the cheapest robe you could buy at a clothing store would only be 500 gold in the game of Mabinogi. This was a large sum that almost took up all of Axel's current savings. If his status had not been exposed by Eaven in Dunbarton, he would have used 5000 gold to perhaps by some protective gear for himself. Now this would not be possible, as his number one priority would be to conceal his Incubus aura and return to the human towns to continue to be an adventurer. He was still quite powerless when compared to Master Max, and he would need to improve himself much more before accepting his teachings again in the future.

"....Alright, I'll take it, here's the payment..." Axel said with a pained expression as he passed 5000 gold over the Krofer.

"Thank you for your business! Normally I would sell these to other Fomor brothers for about twice the amount, but you seem to be a good lad and are willing to keep a promise to us for not telling about this place for the time being." Krofer replied happily.

"How did the Goddess Statue break in the first place?" Axel asked.

"It seems that Goddess Morrighan's powers are diminishing as of late. Our great God Cichol must have dealt a rather deadly blow to her powers in the bouts between the Gods. It's rare for us to come to the world of Erinn from outside our world on the other side! We'll probably travel back in the dungeon to our world in a few days after gathering from materials from the outside world!" Krofer replied.

Axel nodded, and sat down near Krofer. He had been exhausted from the traveling and needed to sleep in order to go back.

"Sorry, I will have to lie down for a few hours! It feels like I haven't slept in years!" Axel exclaimed as he shifted his body into a horizontal position.

"Hmph! Humans are indeed weak! Us Fomors can go on without sleep for days at a time!" Krofer mumbled to himself as he went back to his magic training.

...

The interior of the dungeon lobby seemed to be lit with torches when Axel woke up. It was hard to tell if it was morning since the torches made it seem like it was still night time in a sense.

"You're up lazy boy?" Krofer said as Axel got up to scratch his head.

"Is it daylight outside?" Axel asked.

"It's way passed morning already. The sun's at high noon right now." Krofer replied.

"It's time for me to go. Thanks for your hospitality!" Axel exclaimed.

"Wait, take this mana stone before you go. It's laced with a hint of my mana. If you concentrate your own mana within it, it will float in mid-air, pointing to a direction to where I currently reside at. I will probably come back from the other side once in a while, as it's very difficult for the humans to restore the Goddess Statue, so it shouldn't be a problem for me to come to Erinn once in a while." Krofer said cheerfully.

"You've been a saint, Mr. Krofer! I'll be sure to find you if I'm in need of any magical items!" Axel yelled out in joy. Although Krofer's robe had been a hefty purchase, it was a rare item that would not be found in any of the magic stores in the human towns. On top of Axel's special condition in the moment, magical items could be a lifesaver in crucial times.

Axel waved goodbye to Mr. Krofer and the rest of the Fomors and walked out the dungeon lobby. His next destination would be Emain Macha, the closest town near his current location.
