The Beginning

Hey guys, your probably wondering what happened? Who's the special helper? Why is she running away? Whose she running away from? I assure you all those questions will be answered if you read EVERYTHING and DO NOT skip around OK? k, now lets begin

"Dad! stoop, your hurting her, Let go!" I said trying to loosen his grip on my mother.

"Back off Macy, or your next, she needs to be taught a lesson," he said shoving me to the side.

"Tim, please stop you hurting me," my mom pleaded while trying to pry his fingers off

My arm in his grip pulled her toward his room and locked the door!

Swish, whack! Swish, whack! Swish, whack!

I heard from the opposite side of the door.

"What is he doing??" I thought, while a million scenarios popped into my head.

"This is what you get when you don't obey me! Swish whack!" he said followed by another terrifying sound and a scream.

Cra-c-k! OWWW!

"Mom, are you OK?!! " I said banging on the door trying to get it to open.

Suddenly the door opened and she was pushed out, then the door closed back again with him still inside.

"Call an ambulance," she said, "I think something's broken

"OK, " I said then running to the phone then punching in 911.

It took a while for them to arrive but eventually, they did and took my mother away to the hospital and left me at home with "Him," so I marched into his room to give him a please of my mind.

"How could you, how could do?!" I screamed at him. "She's in the hospital thanks to you, you yo-,"

"Watch it or else," he said turning to face me. "If she hadn't disobeyed me none of this would've happened."

"No, you watch it, who is going to pay her hospital bill? who's going to explain what happened? huh?" I said taking a step closer to him.

"You," he said

I almost started laughing.... almost.

"You're kidding me right?" I questioned, "what the heck am I supposed to say? the truth?"

"You'll come up with something, now go get ready to head to the hospital." he said going to the bathroom and closing it.

I hate him sooo much.

When we got to the hospital we went to the front desk and ask the lady were my moms room was. She told us she was in room 115 waiting for a doctor to attend to her, and that shed been waiting for a while. She went into her room and waited with her so she wouldn't be lonely. When the doctor came he said he wanted to give her an x-ray to find out what the problem was.

10 mins later.....

When the doctor came back she told us the news.

"OK, so your mom has been having symptoms, he's had aching in her abdomen and lots of back pain, she also lost a ton of weight, she also has enlarged lymph nodes in her neck, so you know what these are symptoms of?" the doctor said.

"No," I said looking at my father then at the doctor in confusion

"I'm sorry to say this but.... she has pancreatic cancer." the doctor sad making eye contact with me.

Right in that moment all that anger all that sadness and hatred for my father came out and tears started to spill out of my eyes. I fell onto the floor and curled into a ball and I was there for about an hour before I got up. My mother came into the room and saw me, I didn't want her to see me like this especially if she didn't know that she had the worst kind of cancer.

"Mommy, do you know?" I said walking toward her.

"Yes honey I do." she said pulling me into a hug, "It's going to be alright."

"Ho-how can you say th-that." I said in between sobs.

"I'm not afraid of death especially if it means I don't have to put up with Tim anymore." she said sighing.

"Mom how can you say that, what about me!!" I said sobbing, "Do you want to get away from me."

"No of course not honey, but what can I do, this cancer is not going away easy, I'll need chemo and then I'll lose all my hair." she said releasing us from the hug.

"Are you ready to go, I'm starving." someone said from the opposite end of the room.

"Shut up, how cou-." I said, then I felt a slap across my face.

"Don't you dare talk to me that way child," he said.

That was it, he was not allowed to hit me. So I got up and punched him in the stomach with all my strength. He toppled over and fell to the ground with a Thud!

"If you touch me again, you will regret, do you hear me!" I said and then marched out of the room.

I don't know where I went but as long as I was far away from him I was fine. I can't believe what terrible luck I had. An abusive father, and mother who took his crap and got cancer, the worst kind of cancer. All I wanted was to get away, but I couldn't leave my mom. So I decided to make a plan, as soon as my mother died I would run away, away from my terrible dad in hopes of a better, less abusive life. I would get a job to support myself and buy food and eventually a house for when I got old enough and I would never trust any man again. Now that I knew what I was going to do, I went back to the room.

When I got there my mother was lying on the floor unconscious.

"What happened?! I said running to my mother.

"I may have pushed her and she fell and hit her head." he said avoiding my eye contact.

"Why would you push her?!!!!" I screamed at him.

"Do you know how much it's going to cost to keep her alive?" "I don't have that kind of money," he said standing up.

"Well, I guess your gonna have to figure out a way to come up with the money cause I am not helping you." I said standing up as well.

"Well I guess she is going to die then," he said, then he walked out of the room.

"That son of a *****,"I muttered. I swear he doesn't care about my mom at all. I usually don't cuss but that man seriously gets me mad, like really mad.

"Doctor!!" I said running out of the room, to find one.

"Yes?" someone said.

"My mom she fell and shes unconscious, please help!"

"What room is she in?"

"115, please hurry!" I said running with her to the room.

When we got to the room she told that I would have to leave, so I did but I stayed at the door till they were finished. I was not going anywhere.
