14 To control

That night when her mother died, the Myalis everyone knew was gone as well and a new one was reborn, one who cared less about most things and was willing to do what it took to get what she wanted and protect those that she cared about.

Myalis was now determined to learn everything she could about her mother's past, including who murdered her and why he or they thought she posed such a threat to them. She also wanted to know the specific truth her mother had mentioned, such as who they are working for, the one who is feared by the majority of those around him, and everything about herself, since she wanted to start over and find more than just a purpose for herself.

After beginning her training, Myalis found it difficult to complete many tasks because she couldn't concentrate, she wasn't at peace, and her mind was foggy. She kept remembering her mother's passing, and she knew it would be challenging. Nevertheless, she was determined to get stronger because she didn't want to be weak and kept pushing herself to her limits.

Calris took his time training her because he wanted her to heal as well. He was aware that things would be difficult for her and didn't push her any harder than necessary.

More than a week had passed since Myalis had been with the family and began her training with Calris but one afternoon, while practicing, Myalis punched a post on a pavilion at the back of the temple, unleashing a tremendous amount of energy that caused the entire structure to collapse, her body began aching as she felt energy surging within her and she began glowing bright purple then she crouched down while clutching her chest and Calris's eyes widened.

Since Calris was keeping an eye on her, saw what had happened and she turned around, looking at him with a nervous smile on her face and the others rushed out of the building as he approached her.

"I didn't intend for it to happen," She admitted as he sighed and patted her on the head with a grin.

"I know you didn't, and I know you're worried about your family, but you have to concentrate. You've been training to maintain different types of energy within your body." He replied and she sighed.

"Myalis, you should try to calm down; you are a strong person, you can fight this, force your body to listen to you if necessary, remember, you are in charge here, not your abilities; you use them according to your will, take a deep breath and calm yourself down; got it? Do you believe you can do it?" He asked, and she stood up, then took a deep breath while the kids and his wife looked at them.

Myalis inhaled deeply, focused on the energy her body was producing, and then she exhaled deeply. After a minute, her body stopped glowing and she was about to fall, but he grabbed hold of her hand and she looked at him then he smiled.

"I think for now this would be best, I want you to try to tame a beast, use your own talent," He said and she glanced at him then he released her hand and she sighed.

"Now?" When she asked, he nodded.

"I live in the city where the academy is; it was built by my father, the last guardian of the realms; you know what a guardian is, don't you?" He asked, and she nodded.

"Yeah, I understand what a guardian is, and I also know that they are the strongest of their kind, like heroes to the people; I admired your father as well; am I out of control?" When she asked, he sighed.

"No, you just don't know what's going on inside of you as yet. Your abilities are just complicated, that's all. I have a few more things to tell you, but can you wait until after you start the academy? We'll be going there with you, we have to go home, and I have things to do, too. There, you will tame your first beast, it's different from here, also there might be other truths that will come to light in your life, it might change you even more, depends," He responded as she stared at him and he smiled, nervously.

"More truth?" She asked and he nodded.

"I am starting to dislike the word truth with every minute that goes by," She said and he chuckled and then patted her on the back.

"Yes, I believe there is more, but for the time being, could you just use your current skills, learn to master them and, when you go to the academy, enroll as a beast tamer?" He asked and she glanced at him.

"All right, I will wait to tame my first beast until we get there and I am going to enroll as one, this is the least I can do since you guys are the only ones who know about me and are helping me despite knowing I can bring trouble to your door at any times, in the meantime, I think I'll practice taming a beast, I still have a lot to learn about my abilities, is that okay with you, master?" She asked as she bowed her head, he smiled brightly and then bowed his head back as Lilian smiled at them then sighed in relief before going inside the building with her kids.

"Yes, that's more than okay with me, it will be better if you can at least understand more about how your abilities work and what kind of beasts it can tame since not every beast tamer can tame any kind of creature, some has limits, thank you," He replied, and she smiled then her eyes glowed purple as she walked away from him, looking at her hands with the intention of mastering her current abilities.

"When you find out just how important you may be to this world, let's see what you will do, you are truly an amazing kid, you still look a bit similar to how you used to but even with that they won't know that it's you, they will just believe you have a similar look, I hope that I am right about you, Myalis, the one who will change our fates as we know it, might be the new you, the one which had a rebirth," He said as his eyes glowed blue then he disappeared.
