3 Fifteen Years Later...

The next fifteen years were difficult. Intense training began immediately. Nova put a lot of pressure on me to strive for absolute perfection. I learned a variety of hand to hand combat techniques and was taught to use a variety of myriad weapons. Acrobatics and gymnastics was a must. According to Nova without agility and flexibility I would basically be stuck in one place. A final technique she helped me hone was more of a natural talent. Turns out I'm an excellent strategist. With enough observation and logistical incorporation I learned to predict battle movements and think several steps ahead of a fight. There wasn't anything I couldn't do with my mind. If you wanted me to track someone down, I could find them. If you wanted me to pick the best battle strategy, I could give it to you. If you wanted me to inform you on a persons fighting style, I could tell you. I was ready for the world.

On my eighteenth birthday, Nova gave it to me.

"I can no longer stay with you." she said to me as I leaned on the wall of the ship.

"What?" I asked.

"We are running out of time, so I must leave you in the hands of HQ."

Apparently, Nova worked for an agency called New Generation. (New Gen. for short). This agency has been dedicated to keeping the universe safe, but apparently there has been a new threat that only I am qualified to deal with. Nova wont go much into details and said that only The Light can tell me everything that's going on. From what I've gathered The Light is some hidden figure who calls all the shots. Frankly, I'm not a fan.

"I assume you wont be walking me to their front door." I say taking a seat.

"I have other matters to attend to. I'll leave it to you to find your way." She explained. "Consider it your final training session."

'Yeah, ok." I mumbled under my breath.

Sometimes it really pissed me off how sneaky and secretive Nova could be, but with her everything was for a reason. Nova sat in the pilots seat and we took flight. By now I've experienced take off hundreds of times and I've yet to become accustomed to it's unusual sensation. A short time later we landed on a planet called Mira. The homebase for New Gen. HQ. I went into my room and put on my equipment. Black cargo pants with a matching black top, two pouches, one on each side of my leg, to hold my pistol and dagger. I tucked the ribbon my mother gave my in my shirt and exited the ship. Nova didn't even wait for me to start walking before she took off. Leaving me stranded, with no directions, I was officially on my own.
