2 A Woman Named Nova

Kayano gaped at the women in front of her. Within her mind she debated if she should listen to the words that were coming out of this womans mouth. Her mother had said that someone would come for her, but she also said to keep moving no matter what.

"Kayano, for your own safety we must keep moving." The woman said holding out her hand.

Kayano looked at it and decided that if this woman knew who she was, then maybe she could help. Kayno took her hand and the woman smiled at her. Suddenly her surroundings began to materialize and when they stopped she didn't recognize them. She was no longer stuck in the debris, but on a ship with technologies she had never seen before. Kayano was only three years old, but she was far smarter than others who shared her age. However, it didn't take a genius to see that this technology was not only foreign to Japan, but to Earth as well.

The woman seated Kayano in a seat and instructed her to buckle up. She then proceeded to sit in her own seat and take control of the ship. She powered up and they took off with such force that Kayano thought the vessel would fall apart. Before they knew it they were in space. Kayano looked around. Their was a dark nothingness surrounding her. She looked back at Earth and watched it slowly fade away.

"Where are we going?" Kayano asked the mysterious nymph lady.

"We are going to a place where you can train." she replied. "A place where you can learn to defend and protect."

"Who are you? Why do I have to leave?"

"I am Nova. Your mother has left you in my care. You have been chosen to stop the end of the universe."

Kayano didn't know why this woman thought that she would save the world and she had half the mind to think she was crazy.

"Where is my mother." Kayano demanded.

Nova looked at the girl with a look of sadness and sorrow. "I can promise you that she is alive."

Kayano was no fool. "Is she safe?"

"None of us will be if we don't get started on your training." Nova said. "Right now everything would be too confusing for me to just bluntly explain everything, but I promise it's for the good of everyone."

From that day on, Kayano saw no reason to be difficult with Nova. She complied with what she said and took her word for it.
