Chapter 11 Athena the War Goddess- the Aftermath

After the floor is cleared, one hour is given to the Hunter in that time they perform heal and collect the bodies of their fallen Hunters, after that they all teleported at the entrance of the tower with only things they have when they enter the tower, all the things that exists inside the tower left behind.

The silence fell over the arena, at the ground which was filled with snow before, now left with the marks of battle and a slim figure standing alone at the centre, the walls dispite being sturdy are in a bad shape and the hunters who was acting like a audience have a look of disbelief on their face with eyes widened, mouths open and body trembling.

The Hunters was watching everything but still were clueless. They only know that the boss monster is defeated but how? They didn't have a clue.

"Cough, cough, cough...haa..hufff....weak...so fucking weak.."Maeve coughs as the blood comes out from her mouth, taking deep breaths as if she hasn't breath for several hours. Her body starts to turn back normal and she fell on the ground by exhaustion.

"P-PRIEST.."Marvin shout and the priest run to hunter Maeve and finds that she is just sleeping because of exhaustion.

"That move.. I am having trouble putting it in damage dealer type..was it magic?" Orlando said as he was trying to understand.

"No, it can't be, though it was on a small scale but the damage was far more greater than any spell a mage can conjure." Marvin explains.

The spell Marvin cast on the outer wall has the large impact area but if he concentrate all its damage at a single target like the Knight Sir Lancelot, he doubts if he turn it into a dust just like she did.

"Then are you telling me that is....haaaaaa." he didn't put it in a words and looked at Marvin and asked.

"Just what the hell was that?"

"I don't know." Marvin replied.

"Ummm...did anyone listened what she said before she collapsed?" The young Archer girl who was sitting beside the Marvin said.

"No, we tanks don't have sharp hearing as archers do." Orlando replied.

"What did she said?"Marvin asked.

"She called herself weak." She said with surprise.

"Hahahhahahahaaaaaaa."

Orlando broke into a laugh with a loud noise getting attention of the nearby hunters and suddenly stopped as if he wasn't laughing in a first place.

"Ahhh fuck, if she is weak then...." He signed and the group starts walking towards the centre to check on Maeve.

There were researchers within the groups generally mage who were active and running here and there getting as much information as they can while other tending to their body or helping others but most of the hunters has their focus on the female Hunter at the centre.

"Sir, are there any hunters who can use transformation skill?" A young Hunter asked Orlando.

"No, she is the only one who uses that skill."

There are only few things that are know about her and this transformation skill is one of them which they only assume it as a skill after seeing her uses in the past.

They assume that her ability have something to do with her physical strength, and materialisation. That's only the assumption as hunter Maeve hasn't reveal anything about herself yet.

One hour past, Hunter Maeve woke up with the help of the priest but still exhaust and they all teleported to the entrance.

At the entrance there is a large open space where hunters gathered before and after the subjugation and that space are covered by the wall made by magical item with magic devices and weapons on them, so that it can help to stop the monsters if they fail to cleared the floor in a one year time.

As the saw hunters appeared, they quickly opened the gate which was placed at the centre of the wall. Several groups people came from the gate, they are from the guilds who came to check on their Hunter or Hunters.

"I need a good rest. When is the conference?" Orlando asked Marvin.

After the subjugation complete the SSS-Rank who accompanied the subjugation squad give the report to the Hunters Association, then the meeting will helding where they discussed about the necessary changes that need to take to improve subjugation squad, the compensation for the deceased and the information that needs to reveal to the public.

And at last, honour the Hunters who performed well.

"Fuck, this is going to be headache." Marvin sign.

There are several problems here. First, there is no SSS-Rank who accompanied the squad. Second, a single Hunter defeated the boss monster. Third, that single Hunter showed the monstrous strength and power outside the Hunters Association termed.

They went to their home or their Guild after tolerating the media and reports.

Two days later, at the meeting with the Hunters Association who is attended by the Marvin and two other S-Rank hunters and from the Hunter association the "Thunder-dragon Sword Saint", "Magic Saint" and "Iron-dragon Sword Saint" came.

"Do you want me to believe that Marvin." The old woman in her 80s wearing a red robe that covers her whole body said to Marvin.

"It's the truth Saint Aurelia." Marvin replied.

A cup passed by Marvin making a small cut on his cheek.

"Does he think we are stupid?" Aurelia the Magic Saint said, holding an another cup in the air ready to throw at him again.

"Yes, go ahead if you injured him, she will come for you as you know how much she care about her peo... No, how much she hates your fucking guts." A woman in her mid-forties said with a mysterious smile on her face."maybe then you will believe him after she gave you a fucking death as you deserved given your age."

Aurelia fumed with rage, making a whole room vibrate with her Mana, making several cuts on the woman's body who was just sitting and smiling at her behaviour.

"Enough." A man long white hair with same age as the Magic Saint, wearing white robe in hanfu-style said with his cold voice.

"Tck"

Aurelia clicked her tongue and sat on her seat with eyes glaring to that woman.

"But she broke the rule to be accompanied by an SSS-Rank Hunter, there will be consequences for that." Said the with muscles and gaint body wearing only a single brown robe and black pants who appears to be somewhat younger then other Saints.

"Then just make her SSS-Rank." The woman suggests.

"Anna Marshall, I advice to speak your next word carefully." Xiang hualian said in threatening voice.

"I suggest the same." Marvin speak.

"I mean, the SSS-Rank are only give to those who did somthing impossible and defeated the boss monster alone is one of them." He continued.

After the long silence, Aurelia spoke.

"It's not easy, we need all the Saints approval for that."

"Since when did the Saints have the authority to interfere in the Ranking system?" Anna Marshal asked.

"Let's take a vote, a worldwide one we will informed about that during the conference." She continued.

After the long discussion, all agreed to it.

During the conference, public get informed about the subjugation and about the Hunter Maeve's actions and take a vote to promote her to SSS-Rank which public agreed readily as they all love because of her beauty and sweetness.

Therefore, another SSS-Rank Hunter added into the list that is a normal awakened Hunter and given her the title of "Athena-the War Goddess".
