Many unanswered questions were bothering City Lord Xie Yong, and the expression on his face revealed that he was bewildered, confused, and worried.

"Father, I will capture the culprit within three weeks." Lord Xie Yang said in a voice overflowing with confidence. His straight back and regal demeanor were enough to convince his father.

"Lord husband, welcome back." Lin Hua said right after she noticed her husband entering the room. She was sitting on the bed, and a pleasant smile amplified her cuteness. Hei and Bei were cleaning her hands using a towel wet with warm water.

"Hua'er, I'm back." Lord Xie Yang replied as he stared lovingly at his wife.

"You two can leave." He said to the two maids.

Lin Hua was confused. Did her lord husband not want her to get clean? Did she have to sleep without cleaning her body?

"As you command, young master." The two maids dared not defy the order of their master, and they left the room in a hurry.

Lord Xie Yang's lips curled into a smile. He was finally alone with his wife. He locked the door, making Lin Huw wonder what he was planning to do. He said not a word as he walked up to Lin Hua and sat beside her.

"I will clean you." Lord Xie Yang gently wiped her ears, shiny forehead, and the rest of her face before moving down to her neck. Lin Hua felt weird. She didn't know why but she was feeling hot.

He cleaned her neck and then placed a kiss on her forehead and then the tip of her small nose, and then brought his lips close to her mouth.

"You smell nice, Hua'er." Lord Xie Yang said as his sultry breath brushed against his wife's cheeks.

She blushed, and her face reddened.

"Thank you." She didn't forget to thank him for praising her.

Her obedience and gentleness captivated Lord Xie Yang.
