All that aside, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for staying with me through everything.

Now, let's begin this story!

***

Going to school at seven-thirty in the morning and returning home at three in the evening, the commuting generally took thirty minutes. Taking a bath, having early diner, and preparing for the materials for the school in the morrow usually, after which sleeping at five in the evening and then woke up at nine in the night. Then, leaving for a part-time job at nine-thirty in the night and returning home at six in the morning.

This routine repeats every day. Of course, there are this and that in-between, but they are not the point of interest of this story.

That is the daily routine of one Haru Sakurai, a 17 years old orphan.

Before you accuse his boss of taking advantage of a minor, Haru was the one who begged his kind and understanding boss to accept him working in that internet cafe.

He works as a night-shift operator. What's more, he also convinced his boss to become his legal guardian, so he could leave the orphanage.

It has been three years since Haru left his orphanage. His life is a repetition of his daily schedule.

Did he ever feel weary and bored? The answer; countless times. However, he preserved. His current lifestyle is better than his life in the orphanage, after all.

Returning to Haru's present activity, he is currently working, guarding the counter while reading something on the computer monitor.

"Pleasure to meet you, Izumi Masamune-sensei."

"Congratulation, your novel 'The Cutest Little Sister in the World' will be made into anime."

"After our story is made into anime—"

"—I will bring my little sister to the living room and watch it together with her."

I will fulfill this dream!

And after that—

"Fuh," Haru released a satisfied sigh.

As he rests his back on the backrest of his chair, his hand moves the mouse, closing the e-book reader application.

Haru just finished the sixth volume of 'Eromanga Sensei.'

By the way, he has awakened his interest in the 'Cute Little Sister' genre. Hence, he's been binge-reading light novels with 'Moe Little Sister' theme as well as binge-watching the anime.

'My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute!', 'My Sister, My Writer!', and 'A Sister's All You Need' are some titles that he has read and watched.

Haru is only a casual Otaku. He watches anime and reads manga and light novels. However, he never went too far, like participating in a bidding war for a limited exclusive figurine. He has a better thing to spend his money upon, thank you very much.

Although Haru has awakened a dangerous fetish for 'Moe Little Sister,' he never desired a real little sister.

"That is a hell you are going to walk upon," as a particular Counter Guardian said, and he shamelessly quoted.

Haru has overheard his classmate's complaints concerning the vile creatures called 'IRL Little Sisters.' The despair on his classmate's face when he talked about his grievance was enough to dissuade Haru's plan to kidnap a little girl to get his own little sister.

Since then, Haru decided to limit his depraved interest for fictional little sisters.

'I wonder what will happen if I have cute, dependent little sisters like Sagiri, Sora, Shiro, Suzuka, and so on. Am I going to be like the protagonist of Imouto Paradise? To lewd my little sisters every day as I please?'

Haru involuntarily forms a wry smile at that train of thought. He blames his hormone for that dangerous thought.

'Well, with no parental guidance and adult supervision, such an outcome is likely, more so if they consent with my wish... Good grief, I am despicable, am I not?'

Haru shakes his head to clear up his mind.

In the end, it was nothing but a silly, pointless 'what-if' scenario.

As Haru shakes his head, it is when Haru sees something impossible outside of the internet cafe. Through the glass wall, he sees something that reminded him of a particular arrogant divine mongrel's iconic ability.

A golden-colored portal has appeared on top of the parking area, one that has spewed out the infamous Truck-sama. Haru is obviously stunned by the ridiculous sight and unable to get away to safety in time.

In the end, Truck-sama crashes into the front of the internet cafe and turns Haru into its latest victim.

On Saturday, June 6th, 2020, 12:12 AM, Haru Sakurai dies. At the very least, his death is quick and painless.

Humans are emotional creatures. Even the most rational and logical humans have their moments of emotional outburst. Then, what if a human is unable to feel any emotion? The answer is rather simple.

There is no happiness nor sadness, no excitement nor disappointment, no hope nor despair.

No passion, only nothing.

Such existence can't be called living.

At this moment, Haru is feeling nothing as he is sinking in pitch darkness as if he is submerging in a bottomless pool of ink.

Haru remembers his death. That is a ridiculous way to die, one that only happens in fiction. However, it is an undeniable fact that he has died.

Haru is also unable to track time. It feels as if the concept of time doesn't exist there. Even his internal clock is messed up.

Out of the blue, a holographic screen in silver color pops up in his field of vision, displaying a message written in a neat, black-colored font.

The message sounds like this,

I am busy and have no time. Let's go to the point.

Many Deities of Reincarnation have commissioned me to craft a particular divine tool. After I completed it, I required a test subject, and you were chosen at random.

If you received this message, it means my artifact works as expected, and you have died. I will compensate you for your effort; you will be transferred to a parallel world where some fictional characters you know live. There won't be supernatural elements in this world. Thus, you can enjoy your new life as you please.

There is also an additional gift—a system. It has been collecting dust in my storehouse. Thus, I decided to be generous and add this bonus.

—God of Craft, Alchemy, and Creation.

Haru sees the screen with a deadpan. If he can feel emotions at this moment, fury should be his primary emotion. Thankfully, he is unable to feel emotions in his current state.

'Oh, well. Getting a second chance is better than staying here forever. There is nothing here. Although I can't feel anything, I prefer to be alive,' is Haru's indifferent thought.

Haru inspects the screen for an indeterminable time, silently wondering when he will get transferred to his new life.

Just right after Haru wondered about that, he feels a strange sensation. Then, memories and feelings that aren't his appeared in his mind, after which it fully assimilates and becomes a part of him.

And then, Haru awakens…

…as an incorrigible siscon.
