Henwick Part 2

'A quest!!! A real official royal quest! Ambassador Henwick of The Unseelie! Take that you fool! Useless Princeling my wings, I'll prove how useful I am by brokering a magnificent alliance between me and the Skaddle.' Henwick thinks excitedly as he fly's forward, his wings quickly growing sore do to the exhaustion he's put into them.

'Damn, pushed to hard! Need to land and walk for a bit. Maybe search for some new ingredients and materials! So exciting to be out of the same corner of the forest!' he thinks as he sets down in a clearing and begins walking leisurely towards his goal. With a jaunty tune and several stops, to both rest and eat, Henwick moves to the location of the quest marker, several new items in his inventory for crafting as he excitedly draws nearer to the meeting place.

"Strange, they shouldn't have their cook fires burning in the middle of the day. Nomads must have a fascinating tradition to require so much smoke." Henwick mutters under his breath before pushing through the remaining dense foliage and stopping, horror painted across his face as he watches the wreckage of the nomads camp.

Instead of cookfires the flames lick towards the sky, bodies of the nomadic creatures tied to giant stakes in the ground as their legs and tails are stretched beneath them, their arms forced towards the sky as their burnt bodies pop and crackle with the sound of roasting meat.

"There are satyr here as well.....the insectoid pillbug humanoids are the Skaddle, but there's an ogre, and a forest troll, damnation those are brownies! What monsters would do such a thing!?!" Henwick gasps in outrage and disgust before hearing movement nearby. Crouching behind the body of a burning beast, Henwick watches as a man marches out of the forest while shaking his lower garments, several red welts and large scars cover his body while a large bow rests across his back.

"Gods above these things reek while they burn. Sucks that I have to wait til they turn to ash for my points and meet up with the others but even if I miss the faerie feast I still got a good haul here, disgusting fey bloods." The man mutters loudly before spitting on the corpse of a burning dryad, her wooden body turned gray and brittle from heat as her face is locked in a state of intense pain and fear.

"Faeries.....They were right about you humans I think, your monsters or at least worse than us. These creatures were peaceful, most of them at least. Yet you stand here and brag about butchering them, collecting their deaths like so many trinkets. Yet still its not enough and you have the gall to mention my people. My name is Henwick Amadeus Frazeen, Prince of the Unseelie Court. Enchanter of boughs and third born of the royals. I swear upon my forebears that you nor your ilk will leave this forest alive. Swear it upon my wings..." says Henwick as he walks into the corpse filled clearing. His face drawn into a malicious glare of rage and hate as his newest wand rests in one hand, a dagger with a curved blade on both ends of the hilt in his other as his wings burst into view behind him.

"Oh a blue blooded one then! Killing you will net me even more progress plus bonuses due to your rank! Rookie mistake showing yourself, no worries though I'll sort you out real quick like!" Laughs the man as he fluidly draws the bow from his back and fires several arrows toward Henwick within seconds.

Dodging the first arrow Henwick hisses in pain as the second rips through his left wing before exploding into a cloud of sparkling powder, his face turning pale as the last arrow arrives in the cloud, its head aflame. Trying to move forward and avoid the flames its to late, White hot pain flares across the back of his body, he hears screaming as he grits his teeth and tries to avoid gagging at the smell of roasted meat and fire. His body is thrown through the foliage and barely remains conscious as the wand in his hand glows faintly and water begins spreading across his wounds like a second skin.

"Dangerous, that bow has to be at least epic if not higher. I need to disable him somehow." Mutters Henwick as he lurches to his feet and tries to move towards the treetops before agonizing pain rips through his back followed by the laughter of his enemy.

"You magic folk aren't as smart as you seem are you? You just got caught in a fireball explosion and your thin as paper wings were the target. You honestly think they'd survive it? Idiots all of ya, least your head will gain me some brownie points." The man says as he aims another arrow and releases, a screeching scream following the projectile as it passes past Henwick, throwing him several feet away as he screams in pain and his ears begin bleeding.

'Deafened, can't fly, not a fighter...Damnit! Why did I attack when I knew how damned useless I am in a fight! I'm a crafter not some fey warrior of old! Wait...crafting....the wand! I remember it has an option to overload it! Hope this works.' Thinks Henwick as he lies moaning on the ground, his hand glowing dully as he forces mana into the wand in his hand.

"Weak spells from a fancy stick won't save you. Shame you weren't more of a challenge but I can always jazz up the story." says the man as he approaches with a viscous looking knife in hand, his cocky smile turning to alarm as the wand is thrown into the air and the entire area turns a blinding white.

As the light fades the man is on the ground, arrows scattered around him and his bow underneath. On top of his chest is a heavily muscled man with pale skin and pointed ears. His hair reaches his waist but parts are burnt completely through as his back bleeds heavily. Almost like he's unable to control himself he stabs a viscous looking blade into the mans chest repeatedly, his eyes vacant as the blade finally snaps from the handle and remains lodged in its owners chest.

"My family.....need to help them..." he mumbles as he takes the bow and scattered arrows from the corpse and inspects them.

{Bow of Genocidal Power Rank-Legendary Description- A bow that's been enchanted through the use of ritual magic to grow stronger as it takes lives. 'First legendary weapon and its not even mine. Lets go can't stay here anymore.' Thinks Henwick bitterly as he grabs the mans belt pouch and drinks the two small potions within before strapping it to his own body. Without a second left to waste the fairy prince begins sprinting back the way he came, small lines of smoke rising from the horizon.
