"what?!"
she was beyond shocked! Why did he want to lock the door? Did he had some naughty ideas in his mind?!
Maria thinks that she needed to leave this place , ASAP!
Maria turned her heels and ready to went out, when she heard him.
"where are you going?"
"out"
she replied
"why?"
he asked again
"because you said to lock the door and I don't want to----"
she explained but can't tell the next words.
"you don't want to, what? I said lock the door because I don't want to be disturbed when I oriented you."
he speak, smiling mischievously.
"I thought...."
she tried to reason out, face blushed.
"you thought , what?"
he remained looking at her
"nothing"
Maria said, embarrassed.
"take that silly thoughts out of your mind, its not healthy."
Tobias advised her, smiling widely.
She just keep her mouth closed. What the?!
Why would she thinks that way?
Past is past! She needs to forget it!
Tobias on the other hand, can't help himself from smiling. She never really failed to amaze him. He watched her blushed face.
She's so cute when she's blushing.
He wanted to kiss and cuddle her in his arms.
Oh wait, what?! Cut that crap!
Tobias controlled himself and sat on his chair.
"please sit down."
he motioned the chair in front of his table which Maria followed obediently.
"thank you sir"
she said shyly
"is it your first job?"
"yes sir"
she answered not looking him in the eye.
She observe his office, it was so manly. From the colors of the furniture and walls. All you could see was black and white.
"why?"
"because I'm an undergrad, that's all their reasons."
Maria answered shyly.
"okay, since its your first job, I won't be harsh with you. First and second mistakes are understandable but the third one was not. You understand?"
He speak to her seriously.
"yes Sir."
she answered nervously. She hasn't even started working yet she felt the pressure on her shoulder now.
"all you have to do is to give me all the reports each department gave you. You have to tell me my schedules. You have to check the quotation before you pass it to me and before I signed it."
Tobias explained consecutively.
"yes Sir"
she speak while taking notes in her mind.
"and one more thing, I want you to be with me during meetings."
he said seriously.
"yes sir"
Maria nodded, silently praying that he will released her soon.
Tobias pressed the intercom to call someone.
"please led miss Ho on her working area."
He hanged up and just look at her.
Maria felt her face blushed once more.
Did this man has a fetish on her face?
Then, they heard a soft knock from the door.
"you may now leave, Riza will be leading you to your working area."
Tobias said which she silently thanking.
"thank you sir"
she said, sat up and turned towards the door.
"miss Ho?"
he suddenly called her before she could touch the knob. She turned back again.
"Sir?"
she speak , waiting for his words
"stop blushing"
he said and went back to the folder he currently working with.
Maria left speechless. She opened the door in daze and saw miss Riza waiting for her.
She composed herself and smiled at the old woman.
"miss Ho, I guessed Sir Tobias oriented you already, so let's proceed to your working area."
Riza speak seriously and led her towards the table 3meters away from Tobias private office.
Maria think about what happened earlier and she's thankful that Riza never brought it up.
When they arrive at Riza's table , they stopped.
"miss Riza, this is your table."
she said confused
"yes, but I'll be retiring this week that's why Sir Tobias hired you."
Riza explained to her and smiled.
"oh? I don't know about that."
she said shyly
" its alright, just do your best."
Riza speak , patting her shoulders.
It was the first time since this morning Riza smiled and patted her shoulders.
