17 EYES BECAME WIDE AS A SAUCER
Tobias just stood there, watching her intently.
He doesn't know how to react with her sudden actions.
He came to her to asked if she made a lunch for him. Tobias want to taste her food because it looked so delicious last time.
But he didn't expect for her to begged him not to fire her!
Tobias can't stop the smirk appeared on his face.
"miss Ho, I just came here to asked if you made my lunch? as you said last time."
he said, looking at her clasped hands.
He clearly remembered how that little hands of hers done to him! He watched her eyes became big.
"sir, you're not going to fire me?!"
she asked, unbelievably
"why would I?"
"because of what I did back..."
"don't think about it. Just forget it happened."
he speak, consoling her. He put his hands in his pocket, afraid that he might not able to stop his hands from grabbing her!
"thank you so much sir! It won't happened again!"
she promised him and Tobias saw relieved flooded in her eyes.
"by the way, where's my food?"
he asked again
"oh shoot! I'm really sorry Sir, I never thought you will arrived early. So I never made lunch today and decided to eat at the cafeteria."
Maria explained to him while fidgeting with the hem of her blouse.
"its okay, maybe tomorrow."
Tobias suggested which Maria agreed hastily.
"let's go"
he spark and walked past her
"where?"
she asked , confusion was in her eyes.
"to eat lunch"
Tobias answered her
"oh? it's alright Sir, go ahead I'll follow in a minute "
she said while started typing at the keyboard.
Tobias frowned.
"just drop anything you do, remember you owe me my lunch."
he speak, clearly blackmailing her
"but I have to finish this sir, and I have 10 minutes before lunch."
Maria reasoned out.
"I'm your boss , remember?"
he said, trying to persuade her
"fine! ahmm I mean yes sir!"
she smiled at him forcedly
"perks of being the owner if this company."
Maria whispered but Tobias heard it.
"you said something?"
he asked looking back at her
"I said let's go, I'm hungry!"
she said and smiled at him sweetly, but Tobias knew she's faking it.
Maria was confused because they went on the first floor. The cafeteria is on the second floor.
She started to asked him
"sir the cafeteria is on the second floor, maybe you forgot?"
"I know miss Ho."
he said casually and walked towards the main entrance.
Maria felt intriguing eyes on her back. When she looked back she saw almost all the staff on the first floor were looking at the both of them.
They had a weird expression in their eyes.
She looked at Melody at the reception area.
They've been friends already. Melody asked her, lip syncing 'where are you going?' she replied 'lunch' she copied her action. But she didn't expect to see Melody became stiffed and her eyes became wide like a saucer.
Maria just shrugged it off and continue to follow her boss that has already went outside and waiting beside his car.
Maria walked towards him hurriedly because it was so hot outside.
Tobias opened the door of the passenger seat for her and let her in. Then he went to the other side and opened the driver seat and moved in.
Maria never had the chance to see the bulging eyes of the staffs that witnessed their actions, because when she put her seatbelt on, a sudden rushed of unfamiliar scenes played in her mind.
