The Captain

"Captain! Captain, do you hear me?"

Nagpapanic na tanong ng isa sa mga taong nasa Ground control. They need to clear the taxi clearance. The plane had a technical problem when we are approaching the Departure Area.

"I heard you, Officer Motrin. Just chill, I can land this plane without sweat." The Pilot Captain's bone chilling voice echoed that made my eyes roll heavenwards.

"Scavac zero-six, cleared to land runway one-niner, two-seven right via alpha two, bravo and delta. Cross runway three-five," another voice echoed inside the plane I'm at.

I continue reading the book while the crews of the plane are busy in calming those passengers who got panicked, but here I am is chilling my ass.

"Cleared to land runway one-niner, scavac zero-six," rinig kong sagot ng piloto.

I flips another chapter of the book and read it again while biting my lips. I giggle because of what I've read, not minding what's happening around me. Feeling confident and comfortable even if the people surrounds me are almost losing their grips and praying so hard to let them land safely.

Nanatili ang atensiyon ko sa libro at hindi nalang pinansin ang mga nasa paligid.

"How can you so calm and read the books while giggling when all of the passengers are panic? Afraid that this plane might crash?" a

Na-angat ako ng tingin sa katabing matandang lalaki na nakatingin sa akin, 'saka ko ito matamang nginitian.

I almost roll my eyes when I heard the Pilot Captain's voice and the man on the ground control hissed.

"F*ck it, Man! You almost give me a heart attack!" sagot naman ng nasa kabilang linya.

The Pilot Captain barks of laughter filled all over the plane, na tuluyang nagpa-ikot sa mga mata ko.

"Ladies and Gent's, sorry for that... it's just a glitch and I can handle it well. Don't panic and stay calm now, we will land in just a minute."

I heard the passengers blew a loud breathe and murmurs their thank you's for that. I tilted my head and faced the old man as I smiled at him sweetly at nagkibit ng balikat.

"When I catched this flight, I already trusts my life to the Pilot Captain who maneuvered this plane, more than I trust myself, Sir." The old man nods at me and smile.

As I walks down the plane's aisle, a hand snaked in my waist and I know who was it already.

"Did I scare you earlier?"

A soft voice of Santi whispered on my ear. I shaked my head and smirk at him.

"I don't think I can feel unsafe, when I know you can land me safely."

Mayabang na saad ko na nagpalalad nang ngiti nito. I winked at him before I turned my back and saw the old man walking meters behind us. I smile and walk back towards the old man, leaving Santi where we stand earlier, with his knotting forehead.

I whisper something to the old man, the reason why it barks a heartily laugh. Santi look us darkly, but I just shrugged it off.

Santi raise his left brow at me, looking so dangerously hot.

"By the way, Sir, about being chill and relax earlier while other passengers are panicked. The captain of the plane is my boyfriend, and I trust him that he'll land me safely," nakangiti kong saad sa matanda na malapad ang ngiting nakapaskil sa labi nito.

But my smile was vanished when I saw the man near the plane's ladder, looking at me with sadness in his eyes. My lips is shaking as my tears slowly stream down from my eyes. Not minding the worried face of the old man in front of me.
