6 The First Beat(2)

Luke moved forward, not running, but walking quicker than usual to conserve stamina as he only had one skill available at the moment that used stamina points rather than mana points.

After a while, Luke came across two goblins, one with a mace and the other with a bow and crudely crafted arrows behind his back. Which was all similar according to his previous timeline. He hid behind a broken house and took both his tuning forks in one hand while, with the other grabbing the wooden club he had taken from the goblin, stretching his hand back, he hurled it upward with all of his might.

Luke yelled the skill name, "Beat Sync," as he struck the tuning forks together and lunged for the goblin wielding the mace. Both goblins turn to face him, and because of their considerable distance from one another, he is unable to just murder them like he killed the last goblin. Luke engaged in close quarters with the goblin wielding the mace, evading the mace's strokes, and then pierced the goblin's brain with the forks.

While he was engaged in combat with the goblin with mace, the goblin archer loaded the arrow to his bow as he was about to fire the arrow, the mace that Luke threw at the start of the fight came falling down the sky hitting the goblin's head even though the damage was meager compared to his attack, since it was not a use of skill it still disturbed the aim of the goblin archer causing the arrow to miss Luke.

The goblin, like his comrade, perished with a hole in his brain from not having been given another chance to knock an arrow.

Critical hit! Instant death X2

Killed two goblins

"Huff... Huff..." exhaled Luke deeply as he sat beside the goblin corpses and considered how the game helped people, particularly the mages, become better aimers. The aim assist feature in the game will be available to all players up until they reach Level 50. After that, it will be removed completely without requesting permission. This caused a great deal of difficulty for the Mage and Archer classes, as their spells and arrows would frequently hit their teammates or the background close to the target. Players began to curse and criticize the game company on the forums, but all of them were silenced by a single response from the CEO. He mentioned "JUST DON'T PLAY" in the reply but after a new update the AI constructed many areas that taught about long-ranged attacks".

Due to his delayed game start, Luke completed the system-provided training in advance rather than waiting until he reached Level 50 to begin the training. He was instructed in hitting a moving target, aiming while moving, attacking targets behind barriers, and maintaining flawless aim at all elevations.

Luke laughed heartily as he thought back on those experiences, but one particular experience that stuck in his memory was that of him dying. It snapped him back to the present, casting a glaring, cold shadow across his vision. Since Bard was originally intended to be a support class, but he does have intentions to change it to a fighting class, but this will take some time.

Luke thought about the next fight that was going to happen" It will be the remaining four Level 5 goblins and one Level 10 Goblin acting as their leader. This time, it won't be the same since the Level 10 Goblin was in charge of the others and had a whistle that he could use to summon the other Level 10 Goblin, who served as a goblin-orc liaison."

Luke cannot just rush into a group of monsters since his current attack only deals piercing damage(damage through stabbing) rather than slicing damage like daggers and swords. He has to meticulously prepare before confronting a bunch of monsters than a single one.

While seated, Luke keeps scanning the area in an attempt to find something useful for the impending confrontation. When he looked down something came to his mind and he said "Now this will hurt them a lot".

Luke picked both the clubs, one from the first goblin he killed and the second one he killed just now, tearing the clothes around their waists from the dead goblins and wrapping it around the mace making it a makeshift torch. He hung the tuning forks to his waist while looking at his Stamina Points which were now above 80. He got up and made his way closer to the village's main entrance gate.

After moving around for some time, he spotted the group of the 5 goblins. With two archers nearby for long-range fighting and two warriors forming the front line, one is positioned higher than the other, resembling a king on the heaped human corpses.

Luke set fire to the two torchers from a nearby house; after all, there were only a few residences that did not catch fire. He hurled them both at once and advanced toward them at a leisurely pace. When the goblins noticed him, they scoffed at him, muttering "Kreuk...Kreuk..." but he still waited for the proper moment. Soon after, both torches landed near the archers, making a shattering sound and capturing the warriors' attention; they turned around only to see the broken pile of burnt maces.

They charged at him while he stood with his hand forward pointing downwards, even though a goblin was a creature who followed his primary instincts with deficient intelligence, but that action caused them to let their guard down for a moment and look down because they thought where could a single prey run away when they were so close to him the warriors saw nothing even the leader who looked down saw nothing but the archers who were knocking the arrow with the command of their leader suddenly felt a searing pain in their lower bodies. When they looked down, they saw that their waistcloth had caught fire.

Even though the goblins were monsters that understood how to generate and use fire, every creature panicked when they were on fire since it was etched in their bones, and they were low-leveled goblins with poor evolutionary standing. The two archers began sprinting like maniacs, ignoring everything around them, even their leader's instructions.

The Goblin leader was preparing to instruct the warriors to assist them and grab his club to battle Luke but what he saw was a human sprinting towards the archers, while both warriors lay on the ground dead, blood pouring from the backs of their skulls.

Luke, extracting his forks from the final archer's body, noticed terror in the leader's eyes and approached him slowly while grinning maniacally. This made the goblin leader grab the whistle from his belt with shaky hands, but the whistle fell. Luke still did not kill him waiting for him patiently, to blow the whistle. As soon as the goblin blew the whistle he killed him.

When the second Level 10 Goblin heard the whistle, he quickly arrived at the scene to discover his companions dead and immobile on the ground. He was about to go report this to the Orc but Luke came from behind and murdered him.

"It's time for the first boss fight," Luke murmured, raising his gaze to the heavens.
