looking at the horizon the sun was starting to dip into the outline in the landscape and the sky was darkening with almost pitch black clouds.
Hayden wasn't visibly pleased with a frown on his face from seeing the possible rain clouds, as it means his shelter will be getting tested very soon, moving towards the fire Hayden threw a few more sticks and twigs into the fire before heading to his makeshift shelter. luckily weird rainforest comes with huge leaves that he can use as a cover in order to stave off some of the colds not that he expects that it will do anything other than attract creepy crawlies but some can hope.
As the moon hangs over the sky you could see cloaked beings floating around the black clouds and as they started to descend onto the world under the cover of darkness that night brings. one of the cloaked beings broke off from the group and moved towards a light source, that it could visibly see looking for flesh to devour to complement its powers and to bring it to more horrifying heights as the being drew closer Hayden felt shivers running through his body, whilst he was trying to sleep he was tossing and turning he slowly cracked open one of his eyes and what he saw when he looked through one of the many gaps in his shelter and thanks to the moonlight. A cloaked creature floating in the air it was a skeleton with maggots writhing in its eye sockets with blood constantly pouring from around its yellow bones it didn't even look remotely human as it also had 6 spider-like bone appendages used for legs and claws for hands. Hayden started shaking a lot more and tried to move slowly not to attract the creature's attention, shifting towards the furthest point away from the creature even though he believes he's going to die even as his instinct is screaming at him to get up and run. {what is that! it looks like a... well I dont know what to call it but if I had to put a word for it id say something crawled out of hell and forgot its skin.}

The skeleton being drawn closer to the fire in the middle of the clearing and swiped at it with a bone leg causing a 10-foot trench deep into the earth and easily 100s of meter's long, extinguishing the light. looking around the area for anything else out of the usual as this being seems only drawn to sources that show only light. it stopped short of the shelter that Hayden has made as it saw a glint in the leaves surrounding one of the nearby tree's
Hayden looking through the shelter flinched in fear and drawn himself closer to his knees curled up into a ball pulling the leaf over himself like a child hiding from the monsters under his bed as looking into them eyesockets showed a great darkness unending a void or an abyss that must never be looked into.
the being slashed at a silver squirrel with fangs that seem to be dripping liquid acid that was coming down the tree towards Hayden causing the squirrel to explode into a messy spray of organs and bones blood pooling through the shelter even as the shelter collapse above Hayden from where the knot holding it up was slashed in half.
Hayden not knowing what was happening heard a huge thud nearby his head whilst still been covered in lots of leaves and twigs over his body trying his best not to breathe less it gets its attention.
as the tree fell down from where it slashed its bone like legs crashing into the ground it deemed there is nothing else here and ascended back into the sky to join its other brethren.
Hayden slowly moved one leaf blocking his visage and use appraise on the creature as it was leaving barely whispering appraise.
