Love ya

———————————————————————

After talking a bit with Vaatu… he offered a deal, his freedom in exchange for power, isn't he adorable. Thinking I wasn't going to see behind his scheme to control my now pseudo vulnerable mind. But I could always manipulate him.

"Aren't you a cutie patootie?" I chuckled, trying to get a fit out of him.

"Cutie pa…. what do you mean?!" Vaatu growled in annoyance.

"You think that after all the shit I went through… I will let a spirit lease my body just because?" I chuckled, "And the personification of chaos at that,"

"I can offer you power beyond your wildest dreams!" Vaatu growled once again annoyed.

"No doubt as long as I kill Raava, and turn the world into a mess…" I laughed.

"Raava… has to die…" Vaatu spat in a somewhat angry and deflated tone.

"Look, let's make a deal," I sighed, making Vaatu perk up, "I will consider the deal if…"

"If…." Vaatu inquired.

"If we make this avatar merging thingy my way," I added with a wink, "I don't trust your chaotic ass, and for a good reason… I'm pretty sure you want to manipulate me, and frankly that won't happen, but if we do this my way…. I will consider it,"

"What exactly entitles…. your way?" Vaatu asked me after a long moment of silence.

"Well… for starters, let's have one of those massive lion turtles merge us, or at the very least, let me consult with one of them," I answered, only the turtle would know for sure how bad of an idea this was, and if things went wrong would be able to separate us.

"The ancient ones, I see…" Vaatu started to move around his prison thinking about my offer, "Will I - we still kill Raava?"

"I will kick the Avatar's ass… that was already on my plans, but I am not sure about killing him," I hummed in deep thought, "But we could humiliate her and her host… if that tickles your spiritual pickle," I chuckled.

"Tickle my wh- never mind, that seems acceptable, showing Raava we are superior… in every way, in every life," Vaatu laughed like the typical evil overload, and while compliant I knew he wasn't going to let this down, he was going to try to manipulate me into killing Raava, if we merged.

"Alright… then, any ideas how to find one of those giant lion turtles?" I asked.

"I haven't been out in almost ten thousand years, I have no idea…." Vaatu stated.

"Well… I'll find out, in the meantime… well, I was going to say stay here… but, it's not like you have much of an option," I chuckled, getting a feral growl for response.

"Very well, I expect you to come back," Vaatu growled, annoyed at my joke.

"Don't get your spiritual panties on twist, I'll be back," I winked, as I called for my ride, Cheshire, to open a portal, "See ya later," I waved at Vaatu as I stepped through the portal.

————————————————————————-

As soon as I walked out the portal, Cheshire eyed me, and asked, "And here I thought I was mad, going over to Vaatu…"

"He isn't that bad…" I chuckled.

"He is the spirit of chaos, he is literally the incarnation of bad," Cheshire pointed out.

"Chaos and evil are two different things, chaos is not necessarily evil… but it can be," I pointed out, chaos was in essence neutral, though of course Vaatu was… more evilly inclined in the chaotic scale, but I didn't think he was pure evil… after Kindred and the others, well…. he wasn't that threatening anymore.

"Well… if you say so," The cat shrugged.

"Anyway, any idea where I can find a Lion Turtle around here?" I asked, looking around the spirit forest.

"An ancient one?" Cheshire purred, And I nodded in answer, "Well, there is one in the Fire Peninsula,"

"Can you open a portal there?" I inquired.

"No… that's too far away from here," The cat laughed, exploding in a mix of fire and confetti, immediately reforming on my shoulder with a low purr, "Vaatu I could because he was close… so, we'll have to walk, or in my case float…."

"We?" I chuckled.

"You got that right, I will not let you go alone… Gaia knows you are a magnet for trouble here," The Cat purred teasingly, "Now follow me,"

"Alright," I nodded, it would do be good to have a guide.

————————————————————————-

The spirit world was truly unique and beautiful, fueled with unique wildlife and experiences that almost make up for the assholes that rule it.

Trees would change colors and shapes without any reason, besides just because, and animals coexisting, it was truly mesmerizing, I couldn't blame Iroh for wanting to stay here.

"So… what did you talk about with Vaatu anyway?" My guide purred in wonder.

"He wants to escape his prison, and use my body to kill Raava, bringing an era of chaos to the world," I answered, without skipping a beat.

Cheshire stopped cold on his tracks, "And you said no right?"

"I said maybe," I chuckled.

"Are you cra— forget that… stupid question," The cat sighed in frustration, "Look, I'm all about being crazy… I'm mad as a hatter, but… this is crossing a line… Vaatu will manipulate you,"

"I know," I nodded, knowing that while Vaatu had technically accepted, he would still try to manipulate me from within, to… drown the world in chaos, but just perhaps… I would be able to outpower his resolve, which was one of the reasons I wanted to talk with the Lion Turtles, "But I have a feeling things will turn out just fine,"

"Very well," Cheshire sighed in defeat, "Just be careful,"

"I will, I will," I nodded.

[Vaatu POV]

The human had changed a lot… though I can hardly be surprised by this development, dealing with Kindred alone is a pain… I still remembered when they showed me Death was unavoidable.

Like the human I too had to die countless times… for nothing, why teach an immortal being what death truly means if he can't never truly die.

Even if I get destroyed, I will eventually reform inside Raava, meaning I can't die, not for good at least.

This change on him… was to be expected, but it affected my plans a bit… though it was barely an inconvenience, for if he had chaos in his heart, I would win… whispering his soul to do my bidding.

"I will see you soon… Raava," I laughed, for the first time in nine hundred and fifty years, I had a real chance to escape this rotten prison.
