———————————————————————-

After taking a few hours to cool down my hurting body, I walked the remainder of the way, that was around ten miles, arriving at the outskirts of the village before the night started, hiding on a bush.

Once I was comfortably situated in the the bush, I decided to survey the area, before entering, this was after all enemy territory.

The village in question was surrounded on all sides by hills and a very expansive forest on the back, but there was something more, something familiar, so using my water sense, I managed to feel a small river that ran through the forest on the back there was water lots of it, no wonder it felt familiar.

Bordering the forest, there was a massive wooden, rectangular wall that separated the forest from the town. Meaning if push came to shove that was my best possible escape route. As for ententes, the settlement had only one, a single gate at the front.

My clothes said I was part of the earth kingdom…. and my powers would say I was part of the water tribe, and neither of those were welcomed in fire nation settlements, so I had only one option… sneaking inside the village.

"Alright," I nodded, knowing that was the best possible way to get in, without starting a fight… and considering right now bending hurts, thanks to my stupid idea… it was best if I played it safe, at least, for the moment.

Using my water sense, I located all the guards around… and using that information, I moved around their lines of sight, avoiding them easy. But now I had… to climb the walls of the village.

Working through the pain, I created ice claws on my hands and feet, and started to climb the wall, the exact moment the guards weren't looking. Taking the thirty second blind spot they had every five minutes.

"God… damn… I'm all sore," I muttered landing on the other side of the wall, behind a house, now it was time for phase two…. stealing clothes, if I wanted to continue this adventure, I had to look like I was part of the fire nation.

Deciding it was perhaps divine providence, I climbed to the second floor window of the house I had landed near after climbing the wall, and using the humidity of the environment I forced the window open, as I silently entered the house, praying whoever lived here was my size, or at least close.

"Let's see," I hummed checking all the drawers of the room I had just entered, and thank god the clothes were somewhat my size, they were a bit bigger… but nothing I couldn't wear.

After that, I decided to take a backpack that was in a corner inside a walk-in closet, changing it with my water nation one, putting all my stuff inside, including my dear pet, after I of course opened a big hole for him to breath and stick his head out.

"Alright, I think I look native enough," I chuckled, feeling a bit like Link… entering houses and stealing shit, maybe I should start shouting HYAH while I take stuff.

*Caw!*

Well, enough is enough, it was time to get out of this house, I wanted to sleep and I still had yet to find an inn, so taking a deep breath, with my new outfit ready I got out of the house from where I came from, and as if I was part of their community, I started to walk among them, chanting in my head, don't be suspicious.

The village was beautiful, filled with grandiose and brilliantly extravagant architecture. The fire nation was really ahead of their time in architecture.

"Where can I find a coin trade house?" I asked a random villager.

"Just keep walking, you'll see the sign…" The random villager answered, telling me I was going the right way.

And just like he said, I found the trade houses and all it took was a few minutes.

-Fire Coin Trade-

Inside, I noticed they only had one trade option, earth kingdom currency to fire nation currency, and that they were scamming the heck out of me or anyone trying to exchange money, but for now I would get what I could. Even after losing thirty percent of my cash, I still had more than enough for the trip.

"Any ideas where I can find a good inn?" I asked with a smile to the lady behind the counter.

"Go to the center, The Pagoda Inn is one of the best," The scammer, I mean lady said.

"Thanks!" I nodded, as I left the coin house not before taking a map of the village that was conveniently located in the door.

Following the map, I found my way to the settlement's center, finding a very unique structure, the famous three pagodas located in the center of the village. The central pagoda was the largest, while the other two identical ones to its sides were smaller.

Each of the Pagodas was three stories tall and had a yellow exterior with slanted black rooftops. Taking a quick glance around I could see other smaller but similarly designed structures surrounding the pagodas.

"I need to invent a camera," No… Akira, you won't… knowing how to use a camera doesn't give you the knowledge to build one, but one can dream.

These amazing buildings were all centered around a wide and spacious square, at which many of the town's paved stone streets culminated, including the one that had driven me there.

Around the buildings, many shops, restaurants and Inns were based around the square, allowing the square to thrive as a bustling commercial and social center, reason why it was full of people.

Close to one of the smallest Pagodas, there was the Inn I had been recommended, quite the creative name… it wasn't.

—Pagoda Inn—

Walking across the square, I noticed various Fire Bender doing street shows, like… breathing fire, juggling things on fire… yeah, those things kinda lost their charm in this world.

As I entered the Inn, a massively tall man smiled at me, "Welcome to Pagoda Inn, are you looking for a room?" The man maybe eight foot tall man inquired.

"Yes," I nodded.
