———————————————————————-

After… a very painful trip, I was dropped in the Great Divide aka the Great Canyon of the Avatar world, from here things were easier for me to an extent, of course.

Walking all the way to the fire nation colony was hard, it was a long way, and the harsh environment of this pseudo deserted land made things harder than they should.

But where is life… there is water, and while it wasn't in great amounts, I was slowly gathering water from the environment, to help me on my way.

"Let's see," I hummed as I opened the map to check my location, if I was correct I was around two hundred miles away from the colony I wanted to reach, and that would take me weeks… so it was time to… change my approach, to a more creative one.

I had two options… one, using my flying technique to literally bend my own ass towards the colony as fast as I could, or…. walk.

Alright, time to fly it is.

Normally, I would freeze small parts of my body… to maximize, water usage, technique and flexibility…. but right now, all I wanted was speed, so I had to be a projectile. And fast one at that.

With that in mind, I created a layer of ice in my shoes, collar, hands and knees, and started to bend my way up to the sky, the higher the better… Once I was close to the clouds, I started to gather all the water around, creating a sphere big enough to fit three people my size around me.

With the water sphere ready, I moved onto phase two… freezing the first layer of water to make the sphere hard on the outside, and also make the water harder to evaporate, once that was ready I started to spin the sphere with me inside as fast as I could.

My idea was simple, I wanted to use the momentum of the centrifugal force to short the distance between the colony and me by shooting me like a fucking bullet into their direction.

"Ready Crowley!"

*Caw!*

I don't understand caws but that sounded like a yeah!

[2 HOURS LATER]

In hindsight… I should've known this was an awful idea… at first it worked perfectly, but holding such a big body of water so high in the air was taxing by body and mind, it was… painful, I could feel every fiber of my body screaming in pain as I slowly but surely lost altitude.

"Fuck…." I said as I struggled to keep the construct of water in place… sweat dropping like I was doing the hardest workout ever…. "I hate myself so much right now!"

Having enough of the torturous bending exercise I had put myself into, I let gravity do his thing, as I slowly started to fall into the abyss, taking a deep breath, I pushed myself out of the ball, making sure to unfreeze the thing.

"Holy….." I was… gasping for air… as I slowly hovered to the ground… if I had known that shit was going to be so taxing… I would've picked another option…. or thought of another way, "I am never doing that again… not in a long time anyway," note to self, make sure to train stamina while holding large bodies of water for a prolonged period of time.

*Caw!*

I turned to see Crowley, he was scared and angry at me, heh, can't blame the little guy, as I was about to try and pet him mid air, I saw a carriage move a few miles away… and ever further away, I was able to see the Colony. I was one step closer… to get where I wanted.

[Iroh POV]

My dear nephew was anxious, the fact the young Avatar had a flying mount didn't help his mental state of always being one step behind.

"Train me," Zuko asked, "I need something to pass the time," he added.

"You already have the bases of a good firebender," I smiled, all he needed to do was change the fuel of his fire… from anger to love, "All you need is to find within you the enlightenment we all so desperately seek,"

"I don't have time to try and enter a world of fantasies inside my head!" Zuko shouted, "I need to be stronger… how can meditating help me… with that, I won't ever get peace until I capture the Avatar,"

"Oh dear nephew," I smiled at him, "It isn't by getting out of the world that we become enlightened, but by getting into the world…by getting so tuned in that we can ride the waves of our existence and never get tossed because we become the waves that we transcend the limitations our mind puts upon of," Enlightenment wasn't about having all the answers… is was about accepting you didn't have them all, by accepting the world and it's beauty, "Only then… you will become what you are destined to be!" The Fire Lord your father and I can't be.

"If I meditate will you train me… after," Zuko sighed.

"If you really meditate… I don't see why not?" I smiled, hoping one day he would understand my teachings, "I will make you a cup of tea, to help you relax,"

"You really love your tea," Zuko chuckled, showing for a brief moment the real him, the man I knew he could be.

"Well," I winked at him, "No matter where you are in the world, you are at home when tea is served," I said as I started to walk towards the kitchen to make the tea I had offered, perhaps today I would try that new blend I read in my tea book… It would be an adventure to experience with my dear nephew, a new tea together.

"Home…." Zuko smiled, "I like the sound of that,"

[Aang POV]

"You don't like the way the world works?" Akira's voice echoed in my head, "Then change it, you have the power to do so… but as long as you are this weak… your voice will be drown in the million cries of pain of the people that you failed to save," he was right…. I had escaped my destiny once, "Next time… show me how strong your resolve is, Aang," he was right… I couldn't complain about how the things in the world were going if I myself couldn't do anything about it.

"Aang are you okay?" Katara asked, putting her hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah, just thinking…" I smiled.

"Is this about…" Katara paused, "Akira…" she added the name with a bit of anger.

"He was right…" I was happy she was mad at him a some extent, but Akira was right, if I wasn't happy with the world I was in… it was my duty to make it better. I was the Avatar... and even if I wasn't it was my duty.

"That still didn't give him the right to punch you," Katara fumed.

"Or freeze me… but whatever, nobody cares about little old Sokka," Sokka added.
