So many surprises

Aleyx looked closely at Grace and Norm, or at least at their Avatars, who were in a state of shock at what had happened.

However, Aleyx stood in front of them with no remorse on his face, even after killing someone, but why should he? Corporal Lyle initiated the conflict, it was only right that Aleyx fought back, and while things ended up worse than Aleyx imagined, he had no regrets.

Grace, for her part, watched the Na'Vi in front of her with scrutiny and a little apprehension on the latter's part, she was very scared, not because her Avatar might die right there, but because the Avatar was what connected her to Pandora, losing that bridge would tear her apart.

Aleyx moved a little closer toward Grace and Norm, while the Slinth surrounded him, offering him protection, Fang was still snarling toward the two scientists, showing his long, sharp fangs, which were still stained with blood.

"This is Subaiya territory, sleepwalkers, your very presence in this sacred territory is an insult to Eywa," said Aleyx in perfect English, leaving the two scientists shocked.

"You speak... English, how can you?" asked Grace in complete shock, letting it show through her features.

Of course, she knew that several Na'Vi spoke English, which was nothing new, at least it wasn't, but with the creation of her school until its past destruction, many Na'Vi passed through it, learning about 'the sky people' including the universal language they spoke.

But here was the problem, before she stood an unknown Na'Vi, whom she never taught, which she would remember, especially from the several photographs she still had of her time as a teacher.

However, that was not where the surprises came, but the unknown Na'Vi was a member of the Subaiya clan, a clan known to hate everything to do with humans, making it clear by the thousands of human deaths they left in their wake when people encountered them.

So you can understand Grace's surprise when she learns that a member... No, a warrior of the Subaiya clan, had not only not killed them, but also knew their language, the language spoken by the invaders they hated so much.

It was not difficult for Aleyx to speak English, after all, his native language was that language, and unlike what one would commonly think, Aleyx remembered everything about his past life, and although he remembered all his memories of his old life, essentially it was always him, a Na'Vi of the Subaiya clan, so the memories of the last sixteen years were also his, so there was nothing strange about it, it was as if the two lives came together and a 'new' Aleyx emerged. 

"You should not be here, your people are not welcome in this sacred place, leave, or you will end up dead," said Aleyx, not answering the question Grace asked.

Grace, seeing that they did not answer her question wanted to engage in some kind of conversation with the Na'Vi, so she did something completely stupid, especially for a scientist of her caliber.

Shortening the distance between herself and Aleyx, Grace wanted to look friendly, only for her action to be seen in the eyes of the Slinth in a completely different light, resulting in the ferocious beasts roaring at her and striking an attack pose.

"You've got some nerve, dream walker," Aleyx commented, after signaling with a whistle that caused the Slinth to calm down.

"Thank Eywa that you haven't run into any patrols, had you had such an encounter, your outcome would be completely different from this," Aleyx said lightly, then hopped down from his mount and approached Grace and Norm, who had been silent so far.

When Aleyx got close enough to touch by reaching out, Grace and Norm got a better look at Aleyx's physique, which was much taller than the two Avatars of the two scientists, with his 13 feet tall (3.96 meters), his long black hair down to his hips, tied in several braids, and his body, which oddly enough, was not as slender as the body known to the Na'Vi of the jungle.

No, Aleyx's body was much thicker, while at the same time, several parts containing strong muscles could be seen hidden beneath his blue skin.

"My name is Grace, and this is Norm, we are scientists, mm..... naturists, we investigate the changes in Pandora, as well as its population, both Na'Vi and its fauna and flora" Grace introduced herself, as she tried to give Aleyx a little understanding of what they did, and why they were here.
