12 Meeting

"Today, new Na'Vi joined our tribe, children of Eywa who lost what they called home thanks to the actions of the people of the sky!

After the Subaiya tribe received the new members of their tribe and tended to the wounded, the tribe moved on to the Tree of Souls.

For to be properly accepted into the clan, they had to connect with the tree of spirits, and thus unite their voices with those of the others in the clan.

It was on this basis that the Na'Vi who once belonged to the Arunai clan were now standing in front of the beautiful tree.

"But now, today, at this very moment, they are no longer homeless Na'Vi, they are now accepted into this tribe, which they will call home, which they will protect with their lives, using bows and spears to slay all that threaten it, and thus prevent the people of heaven from taking from us what is ours by the right and grace of Eywa!" M'aora, the Tshaik, finished her speech and then indicated to the Na'Vi who were in front of the tree of souls, that they could join their voices to it.

Four days after the Na'Vi's acceptance into the tribe, Aleyx was on another of his treks through the great jungle of Pandora, having lately found a silver, one called Su'tre, which was capable of healing mortal wounds in its entirety.

This plant, or better said, its flower, was used by his mother to complete the warrior ritual, because if the one who ate it was not wounded, the properties of the flower would make the physical attitudes of the subject increase exponentially, of course, to receive this blessing from Eywa, the warrior had to have made Tsaheylu with an Ikran and a slinth.

Aleyx had already eaten the flower when he finished his ritual to become a warrior, and it made his body much stronger and faster, and since Na'Vi bodies were already strong, given their carbon fiber reinforced bones, eating the flower made him a much better Na'Vi in physical terms than others.

A special thing was that the plant that produced the flower only grew in the places where the Hammerheads went to die, known as the Hammerhead graveyard, a very sacred place for the Na'Vi, a place that was only four kilometers away from the village, being extremely rare, and this particular place being guarded by their tribe.

There, the artisans of the tribe used the bones of the Hammerheads to create weapons, whether knives or spears, as the bones were 5 or 6 times stronger than steel.

Aleyx was in love with the plant, it was like finding the so-called Blood Orchid, which was a source of immortality of sorts, plus the benefits to human health were incredible, and while the Su'tre did not give immortality (or at least that had not happened yet) its medicinal results were unstoppable, something he knew that if the humans of the GDR found and studied, it would create another war for the resource.

Aleyx knew that if he had modern equipment at his disposal, he could analyze and find better results with the flower than the Tsahik of his tribe had done in all the years since the flower was found, but he knew that obtaining that equipment would be impossible, or at least not until the humans were expelled from Pandora, and thus occupy the former human facilities, but that would be a plan, right now he had to be focused on what he was doing, which was collecting the flower and bringing it back to the tribe.

A task given to him by his mother, who after discovering the incredible knowledge about plants that her son possessed, allowed him to perform the task of finding the flora used in the tribe for various means.

After Aleyx had carefully collected the flower and stored it in a bag made of leaves, he performed Tsaheylu with Fang, and together they set out on the long journey back to the tribe.

Several minutes into the journey, Aleyx was able to perceive voices from where he was, which he was able to do thanks to the connection he had with Fang, to whom he gave the exponentiation of all his senses.

Ordering Fang to slow down, Aleyx guided him to a large tree branch, and standing at the height of the branch, Aleyx could see the owners of the voices, and what a pleasant surprise.

Grace Augustine, or her avatar, was standing in front of a plant, which she was analyzing with the aid of an instrument, next to her was Norm Spellman, being closely guarded by Corporal Lyle Wain's fleet.

Here she was, the one who could be named the human who was most connected to Pandora, a scientist who had come to love all that this place had to offer, its beauty, and its infinite balance.

A woman to be admired.

Moving closer to where the three of them were standing but not being noticed, Aleyx was able to hear a little more of the conversation the two scientists were having.

"Do you see it, the connection they share?" asked Grace to Norm, as she looked at a graph of the plant she was analyzing on her tablet.

"It's all connected, it's like a brain, with thousands of data being transported neurotically between each plant" replied Norm, fascinated by what the graph showed.

"Hold on!" said Lyle, who was looking at an image on his monitor that, although blurred thanks to Pandora's electronegativity, still showed the most important thing.

"What?" asked Grace, seemingly a little annoyed at being interrupted during her investigation.

"They're watching us."

that single sentence was enough to put the group on guard, not knowing who was watching them.

"Lyle said, pointing his gun in the direction where the monitor showed that whatever was watching them was located.

Aleyx, knowing he had been spotted, opted to come out from where he was hiding.

The group of three immediately tensed, first, seeing that it was a Na'Vi, and that meant that if there was a Na'Vi, it would not be alone, and second, because of its mount! The fearsome six-foot-tall creature commanded his presence like no other creature on Pandora, to the point that the Omaticaya, a tribe of brave and strong warriors, were terrified of the animal.

Lyle loaded his weapon and took aim, an act that Aleyx took as a sign of aggression, and, holding his bow in his right hand, proceeded to aim at it as well.

The tension was broken by Lyle, who decided to start the conflict, firing in Aleyx's direction.

Fang dodged without having Aleyx order him to do so, giving Aleyx full control of his body as he held on to it.

Aleyx soon let out a peculiar scream from his throat, sounding like a sound.

Both Lyle and Norm were puzzled by the scream, but Grace knew immediately that it was a call, and called for what she didn't know, but what she was sure of was that if they didn't escape, they would be killed.

"We need to get back to the ship, whatever he did, it was a call, we need to get back quickly," Grace said to Norm, who began to pack all the equipment in his backpack to make his escape back to the ship they had arrived at.

However, their flight was halted when sounds began to be heard from all directions, like the rattle of a snake. Grace, who identified the sound, was completely frightened since that sound belonged to the creatures known as Slinth.

And she knew perfectly well that these animals responded to the Na'Vi's call, giving as their answer that the Na'Vi whom that idiot Lyle attacked was a warrior of the Subaiya clan, who were the only ones known to be able to tame the ferocious beasts.

A second later, Grace could see that her deduction was correct, for in all directions they could see several Slinth, the one and two-meter tall creatures approaching rapidly towards Lyle, who was too focused on shooting at Aleyx to notice the danger he was in.

Aleyx, being used as a target, jumped along with Fang from one branch to another, resulting in Lyle firing at him, only in doing so, he was distracted, giving enough time for a Slinth to inject him with a neurotoxin with the aid of darts fired from four segments of hard plate covering his face.

Fang seized the opportunity, and lunging towards Lyle, grabbed him with its powerful jaws and claws, then snapped him in two, ending his life.
