3 The Avatar's accidental airbending incident.

Shin was dragged along by Saisho while Aino followed behind the two kids. They approached Haruki, who had been waiting for Aino and Saisho to return.

"Where had you guys gone off to?" asked the short boy with a missing front tooth. "And who is this guy?" Haruki asked when he noticed them with an unfamiliar kid.

"This is Shin," Saisho introduced Shin to Haruki, "Shin is going to play with us too."

Haruki raised an eyebrow and approached Shin. Haruki came uncomfortably close to Shin's face and stared at him. Shin felt uncomfortable and leaned back a bit. After staring at Shin for a second, he put his hand on Shin's shoulder and grinned. Haruki's smile had a missing front tooth.

"Well, you are new, so... tag! you're it!" The boy quickly ran away after tagging in Shin.

The other two, Saisho and Aino, also ran away from Shin. Shin just stood there, confused for a second.

'Damn you, you brat!.' Shin thought to himself when he realized he had been tagged, before running after Saisho since he was closest to him.

Shin was unable to catch anyone. He was slightly on the unathletic side since he would usually stay at home all the time. He was terrified of being cocooned up by the God tree, slowly being drained of his mind and personality, and be transformed into a white zetsu.

The constant fear of the future had caused him to feel lethargic all the time. The fact that he was healthy in this life and no longer shackled as he had been in his previous life made him fear the end even more, now that he knew that he probably wasn't going to be able to live his new life till the end.

This was the first time he had played tag in both his previous life and current life. The kids weren't making it any easier on him. As soon as he would run after one of them, someone else would bait him by coming closer to him.

Shin was left panting, trying to catch his breath. Seeing this, Haruki decided to provoke him. "Oi Shin! What's wrong with you?! You can't even catch a girl like Aino! You will never be able to catch the great me. Hahaha," screamed the short boy.

Shin stared at Haruki. He pointed at Haruki while still panting for his breath. "You know what? *puff* That's gender-biased *puff* discrimination. Let's see how long you can run if I only try to catch you and ignore the others."

Even though Haruki had no idea what gender-biased discrimination was, he certainly could understand what Haruki said about only chasing him. He took off after giving Shin a stink eye. Shin kept chasing Haruki until he got tired.

"What? Did you get tired already?" Haruki asked a crouched over Shin, who was catching his breath, in a playful voice.

Haruki had gotten tired while running away from Shin. He knew that Shin would come after him after catching his breath, and even he was getting tired. Haruki quickly began climbing a nearby tree to avoid being caught by Shin. 'Hehehe. I am going to climb this tree, there is no way he will be able to catch me here,' Haruki thought to himself.

However, a much more reasonable part of the eight-year-old's brain reasoned with him, 'Can't Shin climb up after you? You don't even have any space left to run away from him on top of this tree.'

Haruki gulped and looked back to see the result of his short-sightedness. Shin was already at the base of the tree, trying to climb up after him. Saisho and Aino, who had followed the two from a distance, called Shin to take his attention off of Haruki. Shin looked up and grinned evilly while thinking to himself, 'This is what you get for tagging me in and teasing me, brat!'

Unfortunately for Shin, he had never climbed a tree before. So he just kept on trying to climb the tree, but he couldn't climb higher than the base. Haruki, who was now already standing on one of the highest branches of the tree, started laughing. "You can't even climb a tree. Hahaha."

Aino frowned. She reprimanded Haruki from the ground, "You shouldn't tease Shin just because he can't climb a tree."

Haruki ignored her. "You should give up on trying to catch me and go after others."

Shin gave up trying to climb up after Haruki and groaned. He then started to run after the others. Seeing that Shin had given up trying to catch him, Haruki started climbing down from the tree. Shin, on the other hand, was only pretending to go after the others and was actually keeping his attention on Haruki all along.

'You damn brat! With my previous life taken into consideration, I am older than you. You are going to regret teasing me,' Shin thought to himself.

Haruki, who had been trying to get down from the tree, slipped. He cried out loud for help as he fell. Shin, who had been secretly looking towards Haruki to catch him when he came down, could only watch in panic as Haruki fell from the branch, his head heading straight for a collision course with a large rock near the base of the tree.

At this moment, something took hold of Shin. Time slowed down for him, and his body started to move instinctively, without him realizing it. The air around him reacted to his movements. With a thrust of his hand, a strong gale of wind hit Haruki and slowed down his fall. All of this happened in a few seconds and before any of the children could react.

After Haruki landed safely on his but, Aino and Saisho immediately checked up on him for injuries. Shin, on the other hand, just stood there dumbfounded from what had just happened.
