6 Water Tribe and hidden ability
Azula heard an angry voice of a girl and saw waves becoming erratic. She realized that today was supposedly the day that the avatar emerges from the iceberg, but due to her that will never happened. 'Unless I tell them I'm the avatar.' Azula thought to herself. It didn't take long before she heard ice crashing on the ocean and told herself 'maybe I should reenact the avatar emergence'. So she quickly dove underwater and started to make a small iceberg around her. After a while, the iceberg emerged from under the water where the siblings are and Azula noticed them looking at her. She made her eyes glow so that Katara will be forced to smash it and everything else happened exactly from the show.
Katara POV
I saw the glowing iceberg emerge from water and was surprised to see someone inside. I saw two pairs of glowing orb suddenly appeared and thought that there was a person inside. I took sokka's boomerang to see if I could break the ice and after a few hits, the iceberg start cracking by itself. A huge beam of bright blue light shot up the sky and formed aurora even though it's daylight and I saw a girl around my age lying there unconsciously. "Maybe she's dead?" Said sokka on my right and started poking her with the shaft of his spear. I got mad at him for doing that and before I could do anything, I heard the girl groan and I quickly looked back to see her two different colored eyes looking straight at me like she could see my soul, and was immediately mesmerized. Even Sokka was speechless.
Third POV
Azula pretended to be unconscious and got so close to killing sokka when Katara stopped him from poking her. She pretended to slowly wake up and saw Katara and sokka staring to her like she's some kind of food to drool about. She wanted to meet her brother and uncle that's why she did all of those things because if they see the bright light, she knows that they will come towards it. Although she doesn't know if her old brother was still vanished and his uncle accompanying her old brother, she still did it.
She plans to go to the north water tribe to see if she can meet tui and la and get their powers. Since she can be considered a spirit, she thought that absorbing the spirit of ocean and moon will make her the new ocean and moon spirit becoming one entity. If not, she'll just have to not water bend anymore no big deal. 'I highly doubt that'll be the case since when I absorbed Raava, I felt the connection between light and spirit world increased by astronomical margin, so absorbing the spirits of moon and ocean should increase my connection between the moon and the ocean.' Thought Azula.
Soon, the trio stopped their introductions and went to where the other tribe members are. Another round of introduction happened and soon, night came. Azula told everyone that she's going to find a place to rest somewhere else since she's still not comfortable with staying with other people she didn't know. After a few more minutes of arguments with the siblings, she finally was set free and she made her way to a secluded area. When she was far enough from the tribe, she sat down in a lotus position and willed a part of her body to separate from her. During her 7 years of impersonating the old lady, she had a few accidents where some fire benders saw her training her water abilities. During their fight, one of the enemy sliced a portion of her body and instead of blood coming out, that piece of flesh that was separated started wiggling and moved back towards the main body. This surprised both her and the enemies around her. To their astonishment, Azula was able to finish them all off by spinning with her bladed whip Elongating and decapitating the bodies and heads of the people surrounding her.
After the fight, she got an idea of making a different body that she can control like another limb. She made many attempts but they all failed. All of the flesh that she sliced returned to her body without being able to order it telepathically. This slowly tested her patience and got angry to the point she destroyed a few trees in the forest while practicing her blade form. After a few more tries, on her 8th birthday, she tried controlling the flesh using blood bending and succeeded. Even though there's no blood coming out of her, doesn't mean she didn't have one. The virus was just able to seal off any blood before it falls to the ground. She started using blood mending to see if she can mold the piece of her flesh, and a new training began. Another year passed and she finally completed molding the flesh fast enough for it to look like something grew up with an accelerated time zone surrounding it. She also found out that she can give the flesh some sort of command or program that the flesh will follow to the letter, but she's still in control of it. Just like a robot.
Back to the present, Azula took a piece of her flesh and controlled it to transform into a sky bison. Since she devoured both Appa and Aang, she knows the composition of the sky bison like the back of her hands. Soon the flesh is done transforming, and she began to control it to see if it can fly and it worked. She gave the sky bison the instincts of the sky bisons and their intelligence. Soon the bison regained clarity and when it saw Azula, the bison felt compelled to follow everything she orders and failing to do so, will result in it's existence to disappear. Imagine Kerrigan the queen of blades and the Zerg. Azula is now considered the queen by the sky bison. "I should probably name you. I can't be calling you it or bison all the time." Azula said to the bison. "From now on your name will be Shou." The sky bison nodded and licked the face of Azula. She smiled and started to feel drowsy and so she asked Shou to lay down and she nestled on his stomach. The fur and heat radiating off of Shou made her feel more comfortable and even though she's immune to the cold, she still liked the feeling of warmth coming from Shou.
The next day, Katara and Sokka woke up early and decided to look for Azula. A few hours of walking and searching, they found a dome of snow with an entrance big enough to fit humans, and two ice windows on two sides. When they looked through the window, they saw a monster and Azula sleeping together and was shocked. They calmed down after awhile and realized that it is a sky bison, something they have not seen in person and only from the few scrolls they have left and hidden from the fire nation. Katara knocked from the ice window and soon, Azula woke up.
Azula was woken up by a knocking sound and some muffled voices yelling. Slowly she opened her eyes and saw through the the ice window, Katara and Sokka. She sighed and went out unbending the igloo she created while in the middle of the night. When she came out, she was bombarded by the siblings' question about the sky bison beside her.
"Where did you get a sky bison from?" "Yeah and how come it wasn't anywhere around you when we met you?" Asked Sokka and Katara in tandem. "That's why I wanted to leave yesterday earlier. But due to you and your tribes questions and interrogations, I was not able to leave and look for Shou." Countered Azula pretending to frown, which made the siblings feel guilty since they remembered that Azula looked like she wanted go and find something during their introductions with the tribe members. "ok we're sorry. We didn't know you wanted to look for him. You should've told us." Apologized the two.
"It's fine, as for your other question, I do remember also creating an iceberg for shou and the current probably separated shou and I from each other. I spend most of last night trying to look for him and found him under this frozen ocean we're standing." Azula quickly made up a story which the siblings nodded but Katara still has a look like she was not convinced. "Alright enough talk, I'm hungry!" Said Sokka which broke katara's questioning gaze.
The trio made it back to the tribe and had their breakfast. After a while, they decided to have some fun and Azula thought of the fire nation battle ship that helped prince zuko find the water tribes' location. When they found it, Azula went inside and looked for some of the buttons and saw the button that sends distress signal and pressed it without the siblings knowing. After they were done with the ship, Azula asked them to go back to the tribe and rest since she's already tired. A few more hours later and Azula finally saw some black snow or the soot contaminating the snow. "Fire nation." She smiled and said loud enough for other tribe members and the siblings to hear her. They looked at her and she stop smiling and soon they saw the ship beaching near the shore. Some fire troops came out and there she saw her brother and her uncle.
