14 End of invasion

Azula shifted back to her original appearance after Arnook left. After absorbing the moon and ocean spirits and the life force from yui, she had an incredible increase in her chi and the control towards the water element. She also felt her connection to other Moon and Ocean far away from this universe and she grew excited. 'Maybe with this connection, I can find a way to travel back to my world and kill that bastard Mercer.' She thought to herself.

She snapped back from her thoughts when she remembered that there's still war going on outside. She saw her uncle and brother fighting some of the fire nation soldiers heading towards the spirit oasis and made her way towards them. "I'm going to the walls and stop this war now. I know what to do. Please be careful." She hurried off after telling her brother and uncle, whilst the two men just gave her a nod.

She arrived near the walls and saw the breach and quickly made it to the top. She concentrated and started on performing the martial arts. After performing a series of stance, she felt her chi ready to initiate her attack and opened her eyes. She entered avatar state to heighten her senses and increase her chi absorption to offset the usage. Soon the people all around felt tremors and then finally saw a shadow being cast all around them.

People near azula saw her slowly rising and then completely stop. But what surprised them is the ocean in a tsunami form waiting to crash down towards the fire nation ships. The breached wall slowly mended themselves like they are alive and froze again. The fire nation warriors inside the water nation tribe despaired and surrendered seeing as how their only escape route was blocked. Azula, went ahead and dropped the tsunami towards the ship and crushed the ship. She then froze the entire ocean, blocking the other people who didn't die yet from surfacing. None from the outside were kept alive.

Soon She turned around and looked at the people of water tribe and fire nation soldiers then spoke. "It is up to the people of water tribe whether the fire nation warriors will die. I have done my job and I'm not responsible for your lives anymore." She said and then went towards where her uncle and brother are.

The civilians soon came out of hiding and when they heard what the avatar said, they yelled towards the water tribe warriors to kill the enemies. This surprised the chieftain and Pakku and other elders but they can't refute since they also want the enemies' blood after all, some of their people also died from the enemy. Even the chief lost his only daughter because of the invasion. They soon gathered the rest of the enemy soldiers and though they already surrendered, they weren't shown mercy. The water benders combined their bending and formed a huge water ball and slowly lifted the enemy soldiers and drowned them. It was a slow and torturous way to die but the enemy soldiers couldn't do anything against the combined forces of every water benders.

The chieftain dispersed the crowd and told everyone that soon they will hold a funeral for all the loved ones they lost. For now he wanted to rest. Azula saw sokka and asked where Katara was and told her that she fainted from exhaustion and is now resting. She waved him goodbye and searched for her brother and uncle. She found them still near the spirit oasis and went towards them. "We three need to have a long talk." She asked them both and they entered the oasis since it's the safest place to not get heard. Azula sealed the entrance while mixing both earth and water bending.

"I can feel the existence of other life outside of this world." She told Iroh and zuko which surprised them and asked how. She then told them about what she did and how she's now the new moon and ocean spirit. This greatly scared Iroh because he's afraid that his niece will suffer from a retaliation and zuko because he didn't know what's going to happen to his sister. "Any chance of you getting attacked by the other spirits from the spirit world?" "No, to other spirits even intelligent once, I will feel, smell, look, sound like them. My abilities allows me a complete disguise and since I absorbed the spirits, it was even heightened to the degree that I can become a spirit as well." "What's re you going to do now then?" Asked zuko with a sad smile.

"I want to learn the real way of fire bending and to do that I need to get a dragon." She said which caused Iroh to pale. "No Azula. Please don't kill the last surviving dragons. I don't know how you knew of them but I beg you." Iroh knelt down. He knows he's no match for his niece now so he begged her. "Do not worry uncle, I have a plan for them. Even if I take their lives, I can create more afterwards. You remember Shou? He's technically me in the form of a sky bison." She said this which made the two men stare at her from the information. Azula laughed hard from what she saw and asked Iroh if he can guide her there. Iroh after processing the information azula gave him decided that if she can create more dragons by absorbing the remaining two, maybe the dragons will thrive again and this time stronger and will not go extinct. He's happy of this outcome and so he accepted the condition. Zuko hearing that they are going to the sun warrior temple, asked azula if he could come as well.

"Can I join you on your journey again Lala? I know You don't need my help but I still wish to follow you. Besides, I don't really have anything else to do." "Of course Zuzu, I want you to learn the ancient fire bending technique anyways. That'll make you strong enough for me to finally be at ease." Zuko hearing this was suspicious of why she sounded like she's saying good bye but ends up putting it on the back of his mind.
