15 Dragon God

The gang flew straight for a few days before they finally noticed an island at the horizon. Azula noticed the condition of the ruins and couldn't help but still be amazed by the architecture. It looked like the Romans built whatever stood here before. She was mesmerized.

She decided that it was time to leave the water benders and left without notifying anybody. Except zuko and Iroh, Katara and sokka was left behind. She didn't want to deal with the siblings anymore since she felt that staying with them will make her feel attached to them. It's bad enough that she feels strangely attached to her sibling and uncle, she didn't want to add anymore.

Landing on the island, they looked around for a bit before finding a ruined temple. They went inside and saw statues depicting a bunch of dance steps... according to zuko. "Stupid Zuzu, that's not a dance step. That's the fire bending martial arts copied from the way the dragons move up in the air." Zuko turned red from embarrassment after hearing azula's remark. "She is right nephew, this is the ancient fire bending martial arts that was lost to the modern firebenders. Anybody can use this form, but only few can bend fire with this for they will need the blessings of the true dragons." Added Iroh.

Even though azula already knew about this, she can't help but listen to her uncle since it's still different from seeing it on a screen and experiencing it first hand. "How do we get in them?" Asked Azula. "Usually we can only enter during the solstice, however..." Iroh didn't finish his sentence and started walking towards a corner while gesturing for the two to follow him. When he arrived, he started pounding a few walls and on the 8th try, he hit a pedestal and pressed on it which opened a door right in front of the fire bending statues.

"Woah! Didn't see that coming. Uncle how did you know about this?" "Well, I did help the dragons escape death by telling the whole world I killed them didn't I?" They kept walking and soon, a few sun warriors arrived with their spears pointing towards them. A guy spoke to them who looked like the chieftain of the tribe because of the more glamorous wardrobe he's wearing and a matching headdress.

"Iroh, it has been a long time since the last time you visited here. To what do we owe the pleasure of your presence my friend?" Said the chieftain. "Chieftain, this are my nephew and niece. They have lost their way of fire bending and are now looking for a better one. The fire in their hearts has been burnt and is seeking the guidance of the true fire benders."

The chieftain looked at azula and zuko and then pondered to himself. After a couple of minutes of thinking, he looked back to the three and spoke with a commanding tone. "I will allow you to meet the masters, but before that will happen, you must pass a test. I can determination still burning in both of yours eyes and I am impressed. Get ready and condition yourself. Once you think you are ready, return to me and I shall pass you the test."

Hearing what the chieftain has said, Iroh smiled and zuko sighed a breath of relief while azula was just calm. 'This should be easy. If it's like in the show, keeping the fire will be pretty much under my control. Hopefully the dragons don't sense anything from me.' Thought azula.

After an hour of preparation, the siblings went on top of the temple where the test will be held. There standing beside a pedestal with a golden egg on top of it was The chieftain. "Zuko, Azula, today I show you, the Sunstone." When Azula saw the sunstone, she felt a connection. She felt a pull like no other. Like this item is alive and has been waiting for her since long ago. Her body moved on its own. The sclera of her eyes turned pitch black and the pupils turned electric blue.

Seeing the phenomenon, the chieftain's entire body shivered. He felt like a dangerous predator was staring at her prey and he was her prey. Azula grabbed the golden sunstone suddenly turned abyss black. Azula just stood there like a statue. Holding the egg and not moving. Even the wind couldn't blow the hem of her attire, and the wind was strong on top of the ruined temple. Everyone was staring at her some scared, some confused, some panicked, and some passive.

"What's going on Chief?" Asked Zuko. "I don't know. This has never happened before." Before zuko could ask again, two dragon flew at a fast speed and circled the temple. Zuko was shocked at seeing a real dragon for the first time. The dragons started going higher and higher and formed an infinity symbol on air by biting each other's tail. The chieftain was so surprised by this phenomenon he knelt on the ground and started praising the dragons. "Oh great dragon of infinity. You have finally awakened." Said the sun tribe chieftain while kowtowing and crying."

When zuko and the newly arrived Iroh heard

What the chieftain said they were confused. "What's the dragon of infinity if I may ask you chieftain?" Asked Iroh curious of what the dragon is.

"The dragon of infinity is known as the strongest dragon of all dragons in the sun tribes' history. During the creation of the world, 4 guardians were made with it. The Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermillion Bird, and black tortoise. These 4 helped protect the world from outside threat. They were even depicted in some of our murals that they were still there when humans started populating the world. However, before the creation of the four guardian beasts, a single Beast was created by our maker to stop the 4 guardians from ever going against their maker's will. It was also created in case the 4 guardians ever lose from outside threats."

The chieftain explained more about the history of creation and what came with it. "This dragon of infinity is said to be the god of beasts. The spirit King. Living in both the spirit and mortal realm. It was also named as Ouroboros and is depicted by forming an infinity sign with its head biting its own tail which signifies that the end is merely a beginning, while the beginning is also the end. Not much is left about the dragon of infinity however, I recovered a piece of scroll from our ruined library which depicts the coming of the god beast."

"In the scroll, a prophecy was written. "Years before the burning rock cuts the sky, a creature, born from the abyss shall make it's stride. Along it's quest to find it's answers, a god beast's slumber will be disturbed. In the era of war this creature of the abyss will plunder, the souls of men, beast, and spirits will be shattered. Drawn by the souls in the abyssal creature, the god beast will follow and ask it as the beast's beseecher. The world will tremble as the two unite, for both has the power to leave the world in death or life."
