book III: spirits, chapter 3: the present: beginnings

Throughout the past 10 years, Yin never visited Republic city, the fire

nation, earth kingdom or water tribes, he only went to air temples to

mediate and deserts to train himself and his people, so he thought it would

be a good time to go and see how was the rebuilt of the fire nation,

southern water tribe and to check on people like Reo and Naomi, Niko and

Nova, Hiroku, Akira.

The first place he went to was Republic city, which newly introduced the

new technology that is a teleportatif (smartphone of the avatar world), TP

for short, a phone that you can take with you, and only talk to up to 5

people with for about 1 hour before it dies, technology was evolving fast.

when he went to the fire nation, he was amazed by their new theme; deep red, black and silver were the dominating colours, they definitely rebuilt a lot greater.

each nation created a transportation method related to their main bending art

for the fire nation, it was metallic gloves and boots, in the middle there was a small contraption that collected fire produced by the bender, compressed it then let it out, only a few benders had the ability to pass the test and get the license for it, since it required a respectably high amount of energy. their second way didn't require as much bending as the first one, it was a bicycle, except for that instead of the pedals having chains around them, they had holes that left benders able to bend fire so that it pushes the wheels. the good thing about the fire nation is their cold nights, which were occur, where specialists check the roads. If found hotter than normal, a team of waterbenders comes and covers all roads with ice, and tries to make cold water go through every small crack they can, and by the time sun would rise, everything is back to where it should be.

when it comes to the water tribes, all roads were lined with 2 lines, if a waterbender wants to move, they can bend ice bits inti their legs and hook them to the lines, then all they have to do is bend the boots to where they want to. Again, they need a license for that

the whole earth kingdom had the same travel method, the only difference is that the components of it change;

for the central earth kingdom, the disks are made out of rocks

for Zaofu, they are made out of metal

for Garasu no machi, it's glass

for republic city, it's magnet. Due to it having a high population of non benders, they needed a travel method that didn't involve bending, so when making the roads, they added some magnet facing north side up into it, and the disks had magnet facing north side down attached at the bottom, so when the 2 meet, they make the disk float. Unlike the materials, all disk laws were common, from the license to the max height someone can get to. For air nomads, the suit with the box behind it from 10 years ago did not change.

One of the things that helped Yin master glassbending faster was the earth necklace. Both of the element jewelry did not only come out while he was in the avatar state, they also appeared when he was in great levels of connection with the spiritual energy around him, and when they come, they don't come glowing, it was like there was nothing extraordinary about them. After a while, he became able to get them out whenever he needed to, to enhance his bending moves. He used the earth necklace the most, to perfect glassbending.

the 4 nations signed a contract stating that if one of them decides to attack another, the other 2 would do all that it takes to stop the attacking nation, even if it means breaking it apart.

the 10 year recap has ended, this is the official start, of book III

it was a peaceful night, everyone was sleeping. A team of people entered the spirit world. a while ago, a scientist noticed that his compass was tilting left and right when in the spirit world, meaning one out of the 2; either the spirit world has a massive magnetic force, or a strong electric one. After some testing, and remembering how kouvira powered her creations when attacking Republic city years ago, scientists came to the conclusion that the plants in the spirit world are strongly electrically charged, which was a great thing to know for them, yet a devastation for the spirit world. since that was discovered, every night, a bit of plants get chopped off and returned to the secret bunker where the labs are, mayor Aku knew what he was doing, he knew that if he made it public, or reduced a lot of plants at once, bending masters would swiftly sense the disturbance and try to stop him, the first one being the avatar, so he and his teams worked with stealth, creating new and strong weapons, and where do they test them? of course, the spirit world.

one of their first creations was titled S.R.P (spirit rejuvenation pistol); whenever a spirit tuned evil, shooting them with the pistol will pacify them, the weapon was desideratum because of its ability to delay the kilter that was waiting to happen, making Aku and everyone under him gain a lot more time, therefore damage the spirit world further.

while R.C.S.F (republic city's secret force) was planning for the future, Yin was wanting to finally start his firebending training.

"I've came here today to train and  master the art that is firebending and finish my element training so I can pass to the next thing which would be mastering the avatar state, ending my training duties as the avatar, if there would be someone that has an excellent power of discernment and knows the person worthy of teaching me what firebending is truly about, it would be none other than you" claimed Yin kneeling in front of the fire lord, and he did know who to call for.

The next day Yin went to the arena he was told to go to so he can meet his new teacher, he was trained under the best benders before, Jinora, Hiroku, Ushi, and now, who could it possibly be?

The moment he entered the arena, he recognized that face almost immediately, it was Akira. Yin bended the ground under him and threw himself onto his friend, hugging him sincerely. After a moment, they both backed off and Yin spoke

"It has been a very long time"

"It has, I've kept up with your accomplishments tho, I think it's very impressive that you created a new bending, and a new nation, well done" replied Akira

"Thank you, I probably would've not been able to without your and all the other people's help I got through all of the tough times this world went by. So, I'm seeing you haven't stopped evolving when it comes to firebending.

-I haven't, and now I'm teaching you all I know about it, our training would be amazing, it may get tough sometimes, but at the end of the tunnel, there's always a light, always.

So, shall we?"

Yin nodded, and made the fire ring come out, because it helps him perform greatly.

"Without the fire ring" Akira said firmly, and Yin made it go back in, he knew deep down he shouldn't train with it, he knew there's a reason behind a new piece of jewelry merging with him after every life changing event, he knew there's a greater power to invest it in, he just had no clue what that power was, he just needed to wait, eventually he will discover what they are all about, as he taught his glassbenders, patience is key.
