13 First Encounter

Haon headed east of the plaza towards the garrison, it seems like this was the main quest area since there are many people around hollering for parties, naturally Haon ignored them, he has decided he rather enjoyed being solo, plus he gets the benefit of receiving all the quest rewards himself, he decided that unless for dungeoning or raiding he will try not to party up, but he also knew the benefit of partying, such as not needing to be as vigilant and probably more progression, but that is besides the point.

Due to his solo tendencies Haon knew that he had to build an [Avatar] that can do soloing really well, so he decided that he wanted to become a tanky/bruiser user, hence he is leaning towards the [Vitality]/[Strength] build for survivability, but he can decide later on when he gets to that point.

Upon reaching the [Garrison Camp], he asked the [NPC]s where [Village Head Guard Bertram] was while showing the [Token of Rahimya] and upon seeing it, they escorted Haon at the back of the garrison,which was protected heavily, upon entering a room a person was sat down,

Upon showing him the token his eyes quivered and said "Is she dying?"

Haon nodded. [Bertram] gave out a weak sigh and then said "I will do my outmost to help you, I would go in your stead, but I am shackled by my responsibilities and [Rahimya] couldn't bear to allow me to go to the [Cave of Yggdrassil]"

"I need to be stronger..." Haon sternly said

"Hmm... yes, but I need to know if you are capable of handling my tasks, I need to know if you are even worthy of holding the [Token of Rahimya], kill 25 [War Wolf] at the [Dark Forest] within 2 days anymore than that I will consider you a failure and take your token away..." [Bertram] instructed "also take this [Fine Blade], your stick will not do much against them"

Haon was pleased with the weapon he just got for free most people would have probably still been using their beginner weapon, but looking at his daunting task he does not know if it is enough for the task.

Haon visited the general store before he left and using 70 out the starting 100 [Avon coins] he bought 4 [Inferior health Potion] that restores 25 [Health] instantly with a 30 second cooldown and 5 [Stale Bread] that restores 50 [Health] over 10 seconds while out of combat and also bought a [Novice Mask] to hide his facial features, he was planning on selling his [Avon coins] outright since currently the sell rate was 1 [Avon coins]: 100[I.R.L Avon coins], but seeing his quest he needs all the help he can.

Haon looked up the [Level] of the [War Wolf] which was [Level]:5 and had [Health:350]

, realising that this is much more difficult than he thought it would be. but knew that this would test whether or not he had the skill to be a solo player.

Haon reached the [Dark Forest] currently, there were no [User]s in the vicinity, this is due to the fact that many players haven't even reached the [Level] to challenge this place, Haon who is [Level]: 2 almost seemed suicidal going to this place without help.

He decided to stick to the outskirt hoping that he could see a [War Wolf] on its own, luckily upon entering he found one.

Haon creeped behind a tree and as the [War Wolf] walked passed Haon immediately used [Slash]

The [War Wolf] then jumped back and lunged at Haon, upon seeing it, Haon rolled to the side, but the [War Wolf] immediately jumped towards him again, Haon who was still on the ground barely stopped its bite with his sword by letting the [War Wolf] bite it, while the [War Wolf] was struggling, Haon was being scratched by its claws damaging him.

Haon then jumped up and rushed towards it and used [Slash] once again while it was down.

The [War Wolf] died and it disintegrated into loot.

The [XP] received was really good especially since he was alone, so he didn't share.

Currently he needed 3 more [War Wolf] to level up.

He picked up the loot.

He could sell the materials to other [User] who plans on delving into crafting he did see some people buying materials in the plaza for [I.R.L Avon coins] he doubted anyone would be willing to buy materials for [Avon coins] at the moment or he could sell it to the [Material Hub] that buys and sells materials for [Avon coins] though at lower prices for buying and higher at selling. His eyes perked up when he saw the [Small Magic Crystal] though, which was rare if he sold it to [Material Hub] that is an immediate 150 [Avon coins].

He also looked the [War Wolf Gauntlet]'s stat.

Haon was quite happy with his first loot even though it was ways away till he can use it, but at least he now has an upgrade.

After checking his loot, even though the [War Wolf] didn't damage him that much, it took quite a bit of energy, at this rate he might be worn out before he even reached half of the quota, he shook his head at that thought, he couldn't afford to do that he had to better!

Author's note: I change some stuff such as th fact that instead of 1:1 conversion of [Avon coins] to [I.R.L Avon coins] I'm using the selling mechanism, meaning I updated the Brief Entrance chapter to fit this part so it makes sense,I also updated the Proper Beginning chapter, pretty much saying that [Avalon] will have a [Decade Reset] that will wipe stuff out, and change the game completely, so the sell rate of [Avon] coins can continue to rise and fall so the economy doesn't stagnate for the people who uses [Avalon] to make money.
