14 Chapter 12: Duel Training

Camille's POV

I woke up and did my morning routine. And when I'm done, I went downstairs and saw them all. Yesterday is not a good start because someone was, I don't know!

"As the same as yesterday, only the ones who's finished with the training can eat. Each training is life-threatening. Don't mind involving yourself in someone's challenge" he coldly said and started walking towards the training room.

I was about to ask him why is he so cold like when my first day? I thought we've done a fresh start again?! But I still understand him somehow. I guess I don't have the right to be a meddlesome.

*Training Room

"Stick your palms on the floor" he commanded as we are in a corner that made me wonder. Why?

They did it without any words and so I did to. And then I just see some ashes? Climbing up to my wrist. I became so nervous but the others look calm and so I just kept silent and tried to look away. When I feel there's nothing anymore, I looked at my wrist. I saw Aspen Avalanne?!

"Since you're new, we'll explain this to you. Aspen is your opponent for this match and clearly, you'll fight with him" Brylle told me and walked away.

What?!

"C-Camille, s-since it's the Duel T-Training, there's nothing to do but to fight with your opponent" Aspen said.

"What?! I saw you used Ice yesterday but mine is an archer? How could I not get beaten up?!" I asked with a confused and angry voice.

"You already know your Charm. If you just focus then you can control it" Brylle answered. I looked at Aspen and feel like he's dissapointed.

"F-Fine" I answered.

"Aster and Angel, first match" Brylle commanded as we sat down the chairs. Aster and Angel went at the center.

Angel's POV

Aster. The Elite who isn't that strong just like me.

As Brylle gave the signal, we started immediately. I saw soil that broke the floor. It's coming towards me so I pushed it away from me with my Air Force.

"Vine Attack!" Aster screamed and I saw vines coming out from the ground. I jumped away from it but then I realized I was caught in his trap. A vine got my feet and squeezed it so tight while is pulling me down as if it's trying to drown me in the soil. I didn't resist and immediately used my Whirlpool Attack. He was carried away and was bumped on the wall.

Did I do it that easily?! But then I'm shocked to see him turning into dust. I looked at the dust coming towards me! Then it covered my surroundings. I felt so dizzy. With my ability to control air, I tried to produce air to counterattack the dust coming towards me.

I'm so focused at spinning dusts and so I didn't realize he once again tied a vine on my feet. I'm so schocked as he throw me away with the help of the vine!

As I'm on the air, I tried to use my Levitation as high as I could just to cut this vine! But whenever I try to get far away from it, it just increase in length and keeps on following me.

Then I just noticed blood is coming out from my feet and I can feel the pain! He must have made it so sharp like a knife and I'm feeling like I'm going to lose my feet!

I have no choice! Just to get this vines off from me, I created a Pure Wind. A wind that goes at one direction and I used it to push the vines away from me. It's just that I still can't take it off but I'm already hurting myself.

"Dust Infinity!" he screamed. I'm so shocked to see what happened next! Dust started to cover my face. I already inhaled too much and I can't breath properly. It looks like the sources of my Air Alchemy are blocked! And I also closed my eyes since dusts are entering it.

I can't even breath. And I also can't move properly.

I just think of the dusts floating. I grabbed the chance to make the wind controlling it as the source of air. I made the wind so sharp and controlled it to his chest!

He lost focus on the vine and so I got out from it. But still I can hardly breath. I feel like I'm gonna lose now until I saw him covered with blood.

We coincidentally closed our eyes and I heard Brylle screamed.

"No one had won!" he screamed and I felt too much pain in the inside. Why in the world I'm always weak?!

Camille's POV

I looked at them seriously wounded and injured. W-Will this be what I to w-will experience l-later?!

"Aspen and Camille. It's your turn" Brylle coldly said and looked away. Why did he became like that? Is he angry at me or Aspen?!

"H-Huh?! W-What will I do?!" I nervously asked. But no one answered me.

We both went to the center and Brylle shouted to begin. I-I don't even have an archer! W-What will I do?

"Ice Spikes!" I heard him screamed and I got so nervous as it came towards me. Since I don't know how to control the Light Chatm that they're talking about, I just kicked and broke each of them that I encounter.

"You're still good at all" Aspen said and smiled. I got wounded on my right cheek! And b-blood started dripping.

"Crystal Ice!" I heard him screamed again. W-What will I do?! No one ever gave me an advice!

Camille! They said you're a Light Charmer! Think of something you can do with light! Uh. Uhmm.

I looked at the ball of the crystallized ice in his hand and he is throwing it to me like a bubble. I just keep on dodging it.

Uhmm what will I do with light?! I focused and I can see my palms glowing. I pointed it at one of the crystallized ice and it reflected light. And what shocked me more is that it reflected light right in Aspen's left eye.

"Ahhh!" he screamed in pain

"You're getting better" he gave me a compliment and jumped so high.

"Dragon Freeze Breath!" he shouted and I saw something white coming out from his mouth and going towards me feet.

I didn't know what to do and just stand there! I'm so shocked to see my feet freezing.

"Ice Spikes!" he screamed once again and throw so many of them to me.

I just realized what I did before! So his ice is like a mirror that reflects light to the other direction right?!

I ignored the Ice Spikes coming towards me. What I just did is to put all my force in my palms and used the ice where my feet are stucked in as a mirror. I once again reflected it to him. But this time, it's not just his eyes that the light reflected to. Instead, it's his whole face since the ice where my feet are stucked is so wide!

-"Ahhhh!"

-"Ahhhh!"

We coincidentally screamed as his face is exposed to light and as the Ice Spikes hit me. And what's worse is that it's almost the half of them. My palms are to weak since I used it to cover my face from those knives.

All I got are just my fingers. I put all my efforts into it, closed my eyes and imagined it as a lazer.

When I opened my eyes, I'm shocked to see it's really is! I controlled it towards his direction and he had so many wounds on his body. As I see him unconscious, I used the light rays to broke the ice I'm stucked in and I succeeded.

I crawled away from it. I just can't feel my legs! It looks like it's frozen! I can't barely count my wounds. I looked at Aspen and he still isn't moving.

"Winner, Camille!" Brylle screamed. I looked at him and saw his lips widen. H-He's smiling. He's so the opposite of the Brylle that was so cold starting this morning!.

I-I won? F-For sure?! H-How on Earth did I beat an Elite?! Then I'm so shocked that I can't already feel my body. I feel like I'm freezing. And everything just went black.

Am I still the winner?! Or Brylle took back his words? I don't know. Let's just wait until I wake up.
