13 Chapter 11: Charm Recovery

Camille's POV

I woke up and did my morning routine.

It's time for another fresh start.

I went downstairs and saw them all.

"Headmaster Viado announced that there will be no classes starting today until the Charm Tournaments. Sorry to say but Camille's Charm is hard to find. Because your personality always change. It looks like your style really is balanced. But don't worry. We will still find it. We're going straight to the Training Room" Brylle commanded and we all agreed.

"Wait, aren't we gonna eat first?" Aster asked.

"No one will eat until everyone did right. Teamwork is on the go!" he answered.

Aster sighed that made us laugh.

*Training Room

"Since you're a new one, you'll be the last one to perform. Watch the way we move!" Brylle said and we went straight at the seats leaving him and Azalea at the center.

I wonder what will be happen just now.

Azalea's POV

"You did great last year. But it's not enough" Brylle said and I just kept silent.

Suddenly, more than ten of my clones appeared right in front of me. I'm battling with myself and that means I know my weakness and chance when to attack.

"Begin!" he shouted and went away.

A clone was about to attack me when I kick her so hard and was pushed away from me.

I jumped as high as I can and for them to be in a single group. But they did not. They scattered and it's so hard. So I tried to hit them one by one.

After a few minutes, of course I earned lots of wounds because I know how myself is.

Once again, I tried to jump as high as I could. And when they did form a group because they too close to each other, I manage to fit them all in my Prythm.

Prythm is a prism that has a rythm inside it. And when your ears are is exposed too much in this rythm, either you will just faint or your blood vessels will be cut because of too much sound. It's like having wounds inside your skin.

All of my clones vanished and the Prythm broke. It's done. I sat down the floor catching my breath and I just heard a sound. I looked at my back and saw a clone.

W-Why didn't I notice it? It's the same clone who first attacked me! I can't dodge her attack and suddenly she covered my ears with her palms then I started hearing another Rythm.

This is called the Volume Rise. My basic ability. Unlike the Prythm, Volume Rise causes wounds on the outside and a tone from the wounds come out. That causes the attacker to be hurting herself when she hears the tone. So Volume Rise must only be used if the enemy is too weak so that you don't have to overdone it.

But I have no choice. I also covered her ears using Volume Rise. We both are having too much wounds. And since she's a clone, I am still stronger than her. She just vanished and I know that she is exposed with too much sound like me. I can't stand up so I crawled towards my comrades.

Aster came close to me as I am halfway close to them. He carried me and let me sit on the chairs.

Huh? Even an insulting guy also had sometimes to be a gentleman.

"T-Thank you" I whispered to him.

"You didn't notice it right?" he said and laughed. I rolled my eyes on him. I'm taking back my words calling him a gentleman

"You didn't pay enough attention to your surroundings. But good job because you improved somehow" Brylle said.

"I'm sorry Brylle. I just didn't master the Prythm properly that made me lost my strength by just doing it so I didn't notice my surroundings" I confessed.

"Well, you look so poor so I'm changing the rule. Only the ones who finished their trainings are allowed to eat!" he announced.

"R-Really?! Thank you!" I screamed. I'm so hungry right now.

"Breakfast is right there!" he said and pointed at the table in the corner.

"W-We can't see nothing!" Aster said.

Brylle snapped his fingers and lunchboxes just showed up. So he just used shadow to cover it! Brilliant thinking Brylle!

Dining halls only give food at the right time. If you're late, you lost it. No matter how much you beg for it. So he must have got some while breakfast is served.

"Brylle, it's my turn now please!" Aster begged Brylle. I know he wants to finish his training for him to eat. I had a plan.

But he ordered Aspen to train himself and he did as I got my breakfast.

I sat down near them and started eating. Then I just noticed two eyes staring at me. It's my turn Aster!

I looked at him and making him jealous of my food.

"Brylle please I'm the next one!" he again screamed but Brylle didn't answer or even looked at him. Serves him right!

"I wish I didn't carry you! Hmp!" he complained.

Hahahaha! It's just my revenge Aster!

I laughed at him as I see Aspen coming towards us.

How many minutes passed as I started eating? I'm not yet done with my food yet he's already done with his training?!

"You're done already?! You're so fast Aspen!" I screamed.

"Food is life. It motivated me!" he answered and we all laughed.

"Good job. There's nothing I can say anymore" Brylle said to Aspen.

"Brylle it's my turn!" Aster asked and was about to go at the center when Lexie appeared there in just a second.

Her speed is as fast as lightning.

"Sorry Aster!" she screamed and we both laughed.

"Seems like you're too late to move" Brylle said and giggled.

"So you're all companions huh?!" he whispered and rolled his eyes. He's so cute. N-No! I-I m-mean- nothing!

Lexie's POV

If Aspen did it as fast as that, I'm gonna finish this in a short time!

A lot of clones appeared in front of me.

This hard because they have the same speed as me!

Lightning Air Blade! I made a huge blade using my lightning and strike it to them at once. But they have their great minds because two of them also used Lightning Air Blade to meet my blade. I stepped out and dodged their blades.

I used my Lightning Triple Windmill String. It's a three threads that are too hard to cut. It's like a lazer that causes wounds and too much wounds will make the opponent electrocuted.

I used it with my speed. I run around the training room and only 1/8 is left.

I grabbed the chance to use my Lightning Air Blade once again and I succeeded!

They all disappeared!

The Lightning Triple Windmill String have side effects. But I'm hungry you know! So I have to finish my match as soon as possible.

As I sat down after getting my food, my fingers started bleeding. I feel like I don't have fingers.

"Lexie, you have more strength left. You don't have to use a threatening techniques if you still have a great chance of winning" Brylle said. I can feel his worry and anger so I just sighed.

"Then I'm sorry!" I answered.

But K-Kyle crawled as a water and suddenly appeared at the center.

Kyle's POV

"Sorry bro!" I screamed and laughed at Aster. Even though you're my closest friend, I won't lose in a racing!

Water clones appeared right infront of me. As Brylle told me to begin, I flooded the Training Room and I used the Waterson ability. It's a basic ability in our Kingdom. It is where you trap an opponent in a water bubble but you need a lot of water as a place where the bubble stays and won't pop. This ability has no side effects but as I said, the less the water, the more you'll fail to do what you plan.

I used water needles and let them in, in my Waterson. They disappeared. As you can see, we are finishing our training too early because our opponent is ourselves and we basically know our weakness points but when we fight with others, it's not as easy as this is. But you know, there are still someone out there who aren't strong enough.

I finished it right away and started eating. Aster ran again but Angel just flied and landed at the center before Aster could. Oh, poor Aster. Especially Camille. She's so silent. Well anyway no one is talkative when he/she is hungry because it worsens hunger. I just don't know what about Aster!

I'm not underestimating but, the weakest among us Elites are Aster and Angel.

Angel's POV

A clones of me appeared right in front and I'm feeling a little bit scared. Did I even improved?

As Brylle gave the signal to begin, I used Whirlwind Attack. It surrounded the training room and it managed to hit me. My weakness is me. I can't even avoid my attacks. Like I'm attacking myself! Only one clone vanished. Others are not hit but I am already full of wounds.

My clone attacked me using Air Cutters. I floated in the air and it's too late when I realized it's a trap. One clone floated and used Air Slicer using her sharp palm, and immediately caused a large wound at my back. I just fell down. Even though we're strong because of Charms, we still have limitations and I reached it. I just fell down and I know I failed. I just closed my eyes.

Aster's POV

I can see Brylle's disappointment. I am as weak as Angel even though I'm a guy. But I promise to do my best.

Now that I'm at the center, a lot of clones are infront of me. Brylle told me to begin and I filled the ground with soil. I became one with it and crawled slowly. As I hold a clone's feet, I pulled it downwards to drown at the soil. He vanished!

I growed plants on my palm and planned to tie a group of clone but I just wondered why it's coming after me? Vines started to surround my neck and I can't breath. And all my strength are absorbed. I just noticed that a clone shaped itself as a plant that I'm trying to grow on my palm.

I'm also not good at easing pain so my sight just went black. I'm sorry, Brylle. I failed for the twentieth time this year.

I never won a match between me and my clones without anyone's help.

Camille's POV

I'm so motivated after watching the Elites but after seeing what happened to Aster and Angel, I got scared.

I looked at Brylle. His aura just changed.

He became so cold once again.

"Camille, to the center" he commanded me right away. I just followed him.

"Kyle, water clones!" he screamed and a bunch of Kyle's water clones appeared. But what shocked me most is that they all became like me!

"Just like the Elites, your opponent is you. So, you must know your weakest point" he said coldly and went away.

"Begin!" he shouted and I'm just holding an archer just like them.

"Apply this training when the tournament comes" Gwendolyn's words!

I aimed three arrows at a time and let them go once while dodging my clone's attacks. Of course there are still some I can't dodge that hit me so bad.

I didn't notice that someone kicked me at the back that caused me to fall down. As I stand up, I can't find my archer and just noticed that it's too far away from me.

What will I do now?! I made a self defense. I kicked them and punched them as hard as I can! Then I just stepped on an arrow. I know what to do! I used the only arrow I'm holding as a knife and rolled on the ground targeting their feet.

Because it my weakness. It's too hard to move if my feet hurts than my hands. I managed to reach my archer and once again used it.

I grabbed another three arrows and realized that it's my last arrows! I did what I learned from my dream. I aimed it at the three corners, put all my force and efforts, and let them go once. This time, the three arrows formed a huge yellow ball that made me and my clones cover our eyes. It's too bright!

As it hit them all, it went towards the wall and caused a huge explosion. And here I am flying backward as the ball's force pushed me at the other side of the wall. I waited my back to hit the wall just like Aster and Angel but instead, it's two arms that I felt. We we're pushed backwards but atleast we didn't hit the wall as I expected.

When I looked at him. I saw it was Aspen.

"T-Thank you" I whispered.

"Aspen! What have you done?!" Brylle coldly shouted.

"Uh, uhmm I'm sorry! I just got carried away!" he answered and went far from me.

Something is strange here.

"Don't worry! Instead, thanks to him I'm fine!" I answered as Brylle went near me.

"If he didn't do that you could have shown more of your ability!" he coldly said.

"S-Sorry" I answered and bowed down.

"You did great but if only you throw Aspen away, you did even better!" he said and walked away from me.

What just happened? Then we're sorry! As if you're feeling like someone has been taken away from you!

W-Wait! D-Did he- Nevermind!

"I lost my appetite. It's all up to you if you're gonna rest or what. Straight to the point. Camille, you're a Light Conjurer. It's our first time to see someone who's Charm is Light. You're charm is special. Gain knowledge about it" he announced and left the training room.

All Elites that are feeling well, rushed to me and everyone asks if I'm okay. I just nodded and we decided to go to our dormitory. I just noticed that it's already past lunch time but I didn't ate breakfast yet.

*Crystal Dormitory

"Camille, rest after you eat. We just have something to settle" Kyle said.

"Uh, right" I answered and they went out of my room.

I started eating while thinking about what just happened. And I realized something. Aren't their abilities or what they call Charms is what I just used while training in my dream?!

D-Do I have all those kinds of Charms? B-But it's impossible! They are Elites and I'm just a regular one.

Uhmm. Just forget aboht that! Maybe I'm just daydreaming.

I covered a wound on my cheek and tried to put all my force in it. I just saw it at the mirror glowing! When I removed it, the wound was gone! It was clearly cured! Does light have the ability to heal?!

Is this another dream?!
