2 First mission

Helena was observing her new personal android with ambiguous feelings. Her father had brought it out of nowhere, saying that it was gift and that it was going to be one of the best android she'll ever see. But for what she could see herself… it didn't seems that much incredible. The structure itself was made of a combination of brass for the simpler decorative section and some silvery metal for the sturdier parts. The core was not visible at all, which was quite sad since visible cores where way more trending theses days in personal butler and droid pets. The droid itself seems quite sturdy and reliable for was she could guess though.

She decided to test its capabilities with simple requests to see if it was as incredible as what was said :

"Alois, I has a mission for you : go get me my brush on the vanity there."

The request seemed pretty pointless but the droid has to understand the action required by vocal feed, the location showed by a physical movement in his visual feed and has then to move accordingly. Not all droid could understand that kind of mixed and complex feed. Even less when you didn't first implement in its memory what was a "brush" and what was a "vanity".

[Mission acquired : get the object requested by owner.]

[Physical mobility enabled]

Alois, (with a lack of memory of his original name, that'll do), suddenly felt that he was able to get a response from his "body". Was he finally able to move ?

With his willpower, our main character started to lift an arm to check for himself if his hand was actually working properly. His motricity seemed okay.

Suddenly a green glaze started to cover his vision. All the different objects in the room appeared highlighted as if his program was trying to locate what the girl had asked but was unable to pinpoint the right one. The room was definitely a girl room for there was a closet with a divider to let the girl change on one side, a white desk that seemed full of clothes topped with a crazy pearled lamp that he would rather die than ever have in his room and a silvery vanity with tons of different bottles, powders, pens and whatever those girl items where… and a hairbrush. At his notice of it, the green glaze started to reduce itself to the brush only.

[Requesting mission completion : get the object requested by owner]

'Can't you just shut the hell up ?!'

Alois was trying to get used to his movement and that command line was already popping up in his mind with the green glaze highlighting the brush that he had seen.

[Requesting mission completion : get the object requested by owner]

'What are you ? A salesman ?!'

Alois was really starting to hate his situation not for the fact that he had been killed by someone to end in a soul core but for the stupid android program that was driving him crazy with request and visual mod to get him to do whatever a stupid girl asked him to. What a pain and disgrace !

[Requesting mission com-]

'FINE ! I get it !' he yelled internally 'I'll get the stupid brush so stop bugging me stupid system !'

The upset android started to walk awkwardly in the direction that his owner had shown… then stumbled in what seemed to be a heavy wool rug.

'Who put this here?!' he internally yelled while trying to avoid losing the little dignity that he still had. He was actually able to move well enough to recover his footing before falling head first in the pinkish flowers woven in the carpet. His movements were quite human like right now since he actually could move as he wanted to as long as he was completing the mission that had been triggered. That wasn't missed by Helena that was actually assessing her new droid. His movements were kind of harsh since he was upset by the situation and the girl was surprised in front of it. Android were not supposed to have any kind of nonverbal communication but this one, with its harsh moves seemed almost like someone frustrated by what he was doing. And the fact that it stumbled on the carpet and almost fell made it kind of funny.

Looking around the vanity for what was supposed to be found by him, Alois grabbed the brush and turned to the girl to present it in a lazy 3 fingers grab, leaving it swinging around, ready to fall if not for the limited pressure he was putting on.

'Here, I got the brush so take that stupid thing and let me get out of here : I have information to search for and people to get revenge on.''

"Brush found. Requesting new mission."

'...'

His android vocal translator was definitely a jerk. He didn't want a mission, he wanted to get out of here and found out how the hell did he get to be stuck inside a piece of junk like this. He didn't seems to have all his memories intact but he knew for sure that something strange had happened and that him being turned in crystal fuel wasn't a coincidence. He just knew it in his guts… well, mental guts. He had to find out what was the cause of this or more precisely who.

Helena was flabbergasted by the android performance. It was awkward at first and she was starting to feel that this was actually just another disappointing fake "best android" as a lot of people were proclaiming to have. There was too much "best" to even believe in the word anymore. But then it showed so much… emotions ? Was that even supposed to be possible for an android ? Or was it just the clumsy way he stumbled in the rug and laziness he showed in grabbing the hairbrush ?

"Alright Alois, since you need a new mission, why not follow me to the living room ? I need help with a few stuff…"

Helena was going to experiment on the new android to see just how much he was capable. If it really was good enough… She will use it for more than just grabbing objet, and menial task.
