3 New World

A blinding light invaded as Alan opened his eyes. Once his eyes had adjusted to his surroundings, the first thing he saw was a grand glass window, filling the room around him with light. A small chest of drawers sat against the wall, and Alan himself lay on a massive circular bed in the middle of the room. It really was a massive bed, it could fit 50 people comfortably. Alan felt slightly lonely in the middle of the enormous mattress, but it passed quickly as he inspected it. The bed was set into the floor, so that it was like a swimming pool of fluff and comfort. Alan was delighted to discover that he could gather all the pillows together and jump into them comfortably.

Once he had finished playing around, he inspected his body. It seemed he was 4 or 5 years old, tall for his age at 4 foot 3, with a chubby face, he had a sharp yet lazy gaze. With no prior information on his surroundings, Alan began to explore. He was in comfortable silky pajamas, which fit him perfectly. He walked towards the double doors that were the only entrance into the room other than the window. Putting his chubby hand against the doors, he pushed. The door didn't budge. Pushing with his other hand did no better. Deciding he would figure out how to get out later, Alan looked around the room some more. He wondered at the size, thinking 'Who are my parents? They must be exceptionally rich'

[Hello Alan, or in this world Deleon]

Alan yelped, and flailed around, trying to find the speaker.

"Hello? Who's there?" A high pitched voice sounded from Alan's mouth, startling him even more.

[I am your system helper, created to alleviate some of your mental load, you do not need to speak out loud to talk to me, just think something and I will know]

'Wait... So you know everything I think?'

[I know everything to want me to know, I cannot take information that you have not given permission for me to take]

'Ah... Wait, so my name is Deleon?'

[Yes, your given name is Deleon, you have two important noble parents, Radigis, your father, and Faelyn your mother. You are from the noble house of Osam, your mother is the kings brother, and your father is from Osam. The marriage between the two was arranged at first, but they easily fell in love-]

'Okay okay, I get it. Where are my Golems?'

[You must summon the helper Golem, the guardian Golem will appear when anyone has killing intent towards you, or you have killing intent towards another. So control your emotions well, because once the guardian Golem is summoned, it is very hard to keep it from killing. It is also quite powerful, very few in this world can match it, let alone beat it.]

'How can I summon the helper?'

[Accessing Database... Retrieving file... Confirmed]

Suddenly Alan was summoned into a different realm. It was white all around, except for a featureless figure demonstrating a hand gesture. 'Seems like overkill to show a simple a hand gesture like that' Alan commented

[It is standard protocol. Please standby, information read complete]

[Data download complete]

A small amount of information entered Alan's mind, a complete mastery of the hand technique used to summon the Golem. He was quickly thrown out of the white space, and remained dazed for several minutes. Slapping himself a little bit, he slowly began to smile.

'So I can master any technique like that?'

[To an extent, you must observe the the technique, and as they get harder it is more and more difficult to download the data. After a certain point I can only provide pointers and cannot just teach the technique]

Alan nodded slowly, then performed the hand gesture. A 6 foot golem appeared. It was a faceless and featureless night black humanoid with a single white diamond embedded in its chest. It remained completely still, seeming like just a state.

"Open those doors." Alan commanded, pointing to the double doors at the entrance to the room. The Golem swiftly moved to the doors, at a speed that seemed impossible for its build and size. It delicately opened the door, revealing a hallway. 'Hey system thing, how will my family react to the golem?'

[They will be astonished, then enroll you in one of the highest level academies around, and groom you to be an arch mage.]

'Is that a lot of work...?'

[It can take hundreds of years to become an arch mage, and once you reach that rank, thousands of people will want you to help them with their problems.]

'So yes.' Performing the hand gesture again, the golem disappeared.

Alan walked out of the room and into the hallway, glancing around, he saw a stunning woman round the corner, and upon seeing him she whooshed down the hallway. Alan was extremely surprised at the speed she reached.

"Deleon! What are you doing out?" She yelled. Looking around, it took a moment for Alan to remember that he was Deleon. 'System, who is this?'

[This is your mother, Faelyn, whom is the kindest of your parents. She wishes a good easy life for you.]

Upon hearing this, Alan decided he liked his mother

"Hello mother." His high voice once again surprised him. Stopping and looking startled, Faelyn looked a Deleon strangely.

[You never call her mother, the temporary soul used to guide the body to this point always called her by her name]

The system warned. Alan, no, Deleon cringed at his mistake. Faelyn decided to pass it off as a mistake, then picked Deleon up.

"What are you doing out? I told you to stay in your room until noon!" She scolded, but not in a mean way. She said it in the nicest way you could scold.

"Mother, I want to learn simple magic." Deleon suddenly said. While inside the room he had thought long and hard about how to make his life as easy as possible, and he had decided magic was the best choice. Looking at her son and seeing the determination in his eyes, Faelyn decided to fulfill his wish.

"We will hire a tutor to teach you," She began, but before Deleon could celebrate she continued "But! If you are annoying or rude, you will stay in your room for everything except meals. Fully accepting this, Deleon nodded in satisfaction.
