1 The Day It All Began

It was Sunday. A pleasant morning in Chungcheong.

In a small apartment, in a small and a messy room.

7:00 am

"Wake up! Hei-Young! It is morning already, breakfast is ready!"

Hei-Ran. She was Hei-Young's mother whose husband died 3 years ago and was working hard to take care of Hei-Young.

"Mother…just give me five more minutes" she replied with a sleepy and ignorant tone.

She was a normal girl who went to a third-class high school called 'Sophia Girls High School" and was working hard to get accepted into a good University to support her widowed mother.

A few minutes later, after waking up, she got up and completed here morning routines before making way to the dining table to have her breakfast.

"Mother. Where is the food?" Hei-Young asked impatiently.

"Here you go, do you like it?" her mother replied, setting up the plate on the table.

"Yes, mother…" saying that and looking at her mother's eyes which the black patches from overworking herself as a convenient store cashier were throbbing.

"Mother. Today is Sunday, you don't have to go to work right?" she asked her with an unconfident tone since she knew that that her mother needed to work even on Sundays to afford their living.

"No I don't have to. But I need to visit auntie today anyway so I will be leaving after breakfast."

"ok" Hei-Young replied, sadness in her voice.

9:00 am

After finishing breakfast and doing the dishes, Hei-Ran left and Hei-Young went to her room. She used to write novels as a hobby and hopefully become a way to earn some money. But her novels aren't that popular, thus barely any money came from that pastime.

She then opened the novel she was currently writing. It was called:

'Superhumans of Modern Earth'

"Ah! I am so excited to continue writing this novel and I am sure readers will love it this time" she mumbled, feeding herself some confidence before beginning to work.

"So I need to remove this side character Leo…" she made a few scratches. "…and I need to emphasize on the main character, Ruby, who will become the strongest in all five cities. How should the story progress..." she became frustrated and continued her brainstorming…

9:30 am

"Ring" "Ring"

That was the ringtone of Hei-Young's mobile phone!!

'Hey!! Hei-Young, did you forget that we planned a group study at 10:00 AM?" Jun-Ah asked.

Jun-Ah was Hei-Young's childhood friend who had lost her parents at a young age and lived alone.

"Y-Yes, yes, how could I forget?" she replied confidently. "Give me 10 minutes…and I will come"

"Bye" Jun-Ah replied with concerns in her mind.

"Okay! See ya, bye!"

*Hang up*

"Ahh! I completely forgot….I need to hurry up. I have to work hard and study...I have to.

"I will write the novel later on I guess" she said to herself, left the pages of the novel on her study desk and left to get ready to leave.

9:45 am

"Ah! I took way too much time" she panicked and left in a hurry.

The pages in novel started to flutter in the gust of the wind blowing from window then…

*Shine*

The pages began to glow and new words were embedded in the pages.

Something unexpected happened in an ordinary day. Something that will change her life from thereon and someone else's life will change too…

And in that Day It all Began…
