3 Chapter 2 - A New Year Part 2

*Kagome's POV*

It was early in the morning and I was still in bed. I kept my eyes closed until I felt the light of the morning sun hit my face. I opened my eyes and look out the window of my room. I get up out of bed and walked to the window to look outside. It was the first day of Shikon University, my first day at a new school I've never been to before. "I really hope this year will be different, but with Kikyo being the most popular girl in school, she practically runs the place. It's like she treats the school as her own personal palace." I sigh to myself thinking that things won't be too different

"KAGOME!! GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE! I DON'T WANNA BE LATE FOR MY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL BECAUSE OF YOU!!" I hear Kikyo shout from downstairs, I sigh "Coming..." I get dressed in my clothes I like to wear (I was lazy to describe the same clothes Kagome was wearing in the first chapter) and head downstairs seeing that Kikyo was already ready for school. "Took you long enough you slowpoke, geez it's hard to believe that your even my sister" Kikyo said with annoyance in her voice. "S-sorry Kikyo.....I was just getting dressed for school..." I say will a little fear in my voice and looked down at the floor.

Kikyo just looked away annoyed and said "Yea whatever, like I care what you do, just get you bag and we'll head out to school"

"Y-yes ma'am...." I grab my bag and other stuff, but before I came back I went to the kitchen and opened the fridge and grabbed some water with a packet of powder that made the water taste like blood so I won't have to drink real blood to help me keep control of my hunger, then I walk to Kikyo "Ready..." I say will hardly any emotion.

Kikyo just let out an annoyed sigh "About time, let's just go"

I nod to her and walk out of the house. We start walking to school. I just kept my head down and stayed silent for most of the walk until I heard Kikyo say "So, Kagome." I suddenly got tense when Kikyo spoke. "Y-yes...?" I responded a little scared and nervous

"When we make it to school I don't want you talking to my boyfriend" She says

"W-what...?"

"Don't talk to my boyfriend, are you deaf? Or are you really that stupid? It's bad enough that he knows that you're going to Shikon University, it's even worse people will know that you're my little sister. I don't need you ruining my reputation with the stupid why you dress and act with your whole looking like a vampire thing. you know we're supposed to keep our vampire side a secret right?" Kikyo tells me irritated.

"Sorry Kikyo, it-it's just the way I like to dress..." I say a little scared

"Geez, you're so annoying. As long as you don't get caught you're fine, I still don't get why you drink that powder stuff and not real blood. It tastes a lot better than that and animal blood."

"I-I mean I sometimes drink human or demon blood, just only when I have no choice or if my hunger takes over."

"Well whatever, just don't talk to my boyfriend okay? If you so much as even glance at him then I'll make your life at this school a living hell. Do you understand me, wench?" She tells me strictly and in a scary tone that made me gulp and left me in a scared state. "Y-yes m-ma'am. I u-understand"

"Good" Kikyo responds

'Not like you already make my life a living hell, and besides, it's not like you actually like him. You're just using your boyfriend to gain more popularity' I think to myself.

After about 5 more minutes of walking, we finally made it to school. The School looked bigger than I originally thought. I looked at Kikyo and she just staring at the school with a smirk like she was planning something, but then again, Kikyo always has something up her sleeve. So I'm not surprised if there was something going through her head. I took out my schedule to see where my first class was. S534: Home Room. I looked away from my schedule to ask Kikyo where the class was, but before I even knew it, Kikyo was already inside leaving me alone to fend for myself.

Like always, Kikyo left me alone like I never even excised. I sigh and walk in another directing to find a hallway that's not so crowded. To my surprise, I found a hallway that was completely empty and dark. I took this chance to enter the hallway and take out my bottle of water and blood tasting powder. I poured the powder into the water and shock it up to mix them together. after that, I drunk the blood flavored water as fast as possible to keep my hunger under control so I won't hurt anyone. I didn't even start the fights I was in last year. I was just trying to defend myself, but I guess it doesn't really even matter if people never believed me in the end. People never believe the freak of the school. If I just get in trouble for fighting then what's the point in even trying? I can't imagine this year being any different, so I might as well stay in the corner where no one will even acknowledge my existence. I'm better off alone anyway.

And with that depressing thought, I went off to a slightly crowded hallway to look for my class. But it was no use, I was lost like a little kitten in the streets. It was worse that people kept glancing at me for my choice of clothing, but I was use to those kinds of stars. At this point in time, people were already in class while I was just standing around lost and confused on where to go. Then all of a sudden I heard a voice behind me trying to get my attention. I turn my head to see a teacher, I looked at his name tag and read that it says Mr. Myoga.

"Umm, hi...?" A little nervous

"You must be Kagome Higurashi, correct?" He asks me

I nod my head not saying a word "Not much of a talking, are you? The total opposite of your elder sister Kikyo" I nod my head again not knowing what to say to him "I had a feeling that you'd get lost in these halls so I thought I'd come and bring you to class"

"Th-thank you..." I say nervously

Mr. Myoga seemed to notice the way I was acting because of the way he was looking at me. "Hey, I know it's your first day, but try not to get all nervous okay?"

I just look away from him and say "S-sorry"

Mr. Myoga just smiled and said "Come on, class is this way, follow me." I nod and follow him to class. As we were walking I was observing my surroundings so I'd know where to go next time. Before I knew it I was already at the doorway of the classroom. I look at Mr. Myoga as he looks at me and motions me to follow him. I did as he told me and followed him in front of the class.

"Hello class, as you know I'll be your homeroom teacher. Of course, you already know my name, but for those who haven't been in my class before, my name is Mr. Myoga."

Already I felt the stars of other people on me looking at me like I'm a freak be the way I look. But at this point didn't even care what people thought of me. It was already obvious that I'd be getting picked on by some of these people in this class.

"This is Kagome Higurashi, she's a new transfer student here and I'd like it if you welcome her in this class" Everyone had small gasps at hearing my last name. Knowing that I was Kikyo's younger sister now. "Kagome, you may take a seat now" I nod and start walking to the back row of the class.

As I looked up to find a seat I saw a boy with long silver-like hair, honey-golden eyes that could just melt your heart, and cute puppy dog ears on the top of his head. But the second I saw him I knew her was Kikyo's boyfriend and what she told me before we got to school popped into my mind.

"If you so much as even glance at him then I'll make sure your life at this school a living hell. Do you understand me, wench?"

Just the very thought of those words scared the shit out of me and I got scared instantly. I could quickly feel the color leave from my cheeks as I turned completely pale like I just saw a ghost. I just looked away as fast as I possibly could and walked to the very back row of the class and sat down next to the window where no one else was sitting. To try and calm myself down I put in my headphones and took out my notebook to draw in it. I took out my pencil and started drawing a dark forest with a giant Bonsai tree in the middle with normal trees surrounding it as flower pestles fell from the Bonsai tree.

'I just wanna go home'
