Chapter 4 Shopping in Diagon Alley

"Congratulations my boy, You will live the magic in the same space as we have and grow into an excellent magician." Narcissa was happy about the news.

"Thank you mother, when will we do the errands or do we still have enough in stock at home?" I ask, eager to become a magician.

"We will make purchases in the Diagon Alley, There we will get everything a future wizard needs."

"May I come with you, I also want to see Diagon Alley." The younger son asks curiously.

"Yes Draco you can join us, We'll get the errands done this week. Since your father is in the office at this time, I will accompany you both."

"I am looking forward to this day." says Aurelius Truthfully.

*Timeskip 4 Days*

Aurelius POV

Today is the day mother takes draco and me to the Diagon Alley. We need to get some errands for school, for that i've put on one of my formal magic robes with silver accents distributed everywhere.

Of course I have also put on the ring and the necklace, but I prefer to wear the necklace under my robe so that nobody can see it.

I also put on my holster, because today is the long awaited day when I get my wand.

Curently standing with my mother in front of the fireplace, we're waiting for Draco, who isn't finished yet.

"Draco where are you?" Mother calls up the stairs.

"I'm coming .... done let's go" Draco comes down the stairs buttoning his robes.

"I will explain it to you once, each of you take a handful of the floo powder.

A bowl of it lies on the mantelpiece, then you go into the fireplace. With the powder in your hand you throw the contents on the floor, shouting Diagon Alley loud and clear, understand?"

Both of us nod.

"Good, Aurel you will go first"

I step forward and take some floo powder from the bowl, then go into the chimney, throw the powder on the floor and shout. "Diagon Alley."

Seconds later i climb out through another chimney and look around i made it the Diagon Alley.

A chimney not far from me produced green flames and there stood Draco so I went over to him to wait for mother.

On the way I first notice the lively harmonious atmosphere that Diagon Alley and the many witches and warlocks bring across.

I was distracted by this atmosphere and surprised that I didn't notice Mother appearing behind us.

She puts a hand on my brother's and mine shoulder and says.

"It's so harmonious being here for the first time. I can still remember my first time here I was here with your aunt and bought school things. As we do today, let us begin."

"Where do we go first, mother?" draco asks excited.

"We need money to buy something, so let's go to the most burglar-proof wizarding bank which is lead by goblins, we're going to Gringotts, follow me."

As we walk, she tells us what this bench is all about. It wasn't a minute and Draco stopped at a shop window.

A broomstick is on display in the window and Draco looks at it with twinkling eyes. I just pull him away and we both follow mother.

We follow her about 2 minutes, than i notice a set of white stairs leads up to a set of burnished bronze doors. The doors are flanked by a goblin in a uniform of scarlet and gold.

'I think that is the entrance to Gringotts'

The entrance leads into a small entrance hall and another set of doors. Engraved on these silver doors are the words:

'Enter, stranger, but take heed

Of what awaits the sin of greed

For those who take, but do not earn,

Must pay most dearly in their turn.

So if you seek beneath our floors

A treasure that was never yours,

Thief, you have been warned, beware

Of finding more than treasure there.'

We go through the first door and are greeted by this vast marble, hall long counters stretching along its length with doors.

At the end of this hall sits a goblin staring at his desk, writing some stuff. On the way to him we will be looked down from left and right by goblins who look annoyed. After a short "Hmm." the goblin at the back looks down at us.

"Narcissa Malfoy, What is your reason for visiting Gringotts Bank" The goblin asks her while staring back at his table.

"I want you to open two new dungeons for my sons. One for Aurelius Cassius Malfoy and one for Draco Septimus Malfoy, both will have security status 3.

[AN: yeah i know Draco doesn't have a second name in kanon, but this is AU]

Next you will give them both access to the Malfoy family vault. After that you will take two hundred gallons from the Malfoy family vault and transfer hundred to Aurelius and hundred to draco's vault.

Also, starting now, twenty gallons a month will be taken from the Malfoy family vault and transferred equally to my sons vault.

Lastly you lift 40 gallons out of the Malfoy Vault and give it to me, immediately." My mother gives the goblin some orders

The goblin looks slightly annoyed but says "As you wish Mrs. Malfoy."

He gets two other goblins to take blood samples from me and draco then they set up our vaults and gave us the numbers.

When that was done, the goblin returned with whom mother spoke in his hands he hold a bag full of gallons.

"if that was all Mrs. Malfoy"

"It was all, goblin." She ends the conversation, turns around and walks towards the exit.

"These creatures must always be dealt with with harshness. If you try to be friendly they become impertinent.

Move on, we got much to do, first Twilfitt and Tattings for you robes and hat.

Second to Eeylops Owl Emporium for an Owl to contact us. Third Flourish and Blotts there we get you school books.

Fourth Potage's Cauldron Shop There we get, as you can imagine, a cauldron. Fifth Scribbulus Writing Implements to get some writing materials.

Sixth Slug & Jiggers Apothecary, for your potion ingredients and finally Ollivanders to get your wand."

"That's a lot, can we all do it today?" I'm asking, overwhelmed by the amount of shops.

"Yes, we will split up for some things. First we go to Twilfitt and Tattings get your robes you need to be measured for this. It will take some time in the meantime while they are tailored, we will go to Flourish and Blotts to get your textbooks.

On the way i will show you where Ollivanders is and get your wand. I'll do everything else, after you're done, we'll meet again to get your clothes, understand?"

"Yes mother" I reply, impressed by my her time management.

"Once we're here, we'll do some things for you too, Draco."

"But I'll outgrow the robes."

"They are enchanted robes, these conform to the wearer, not the other way around." I enlighten him.

"Can you please get me an owl with black feathers?"

"I'm trying, what about you Aurel?"

"I don't care what it looks like, it should work."

"Then let's be on our way" She says and sets off.

When we arrive we are greeted warmly by an older man who apparently understands his work, which can be seen from the perfectly fitting suit he is wearing.

When measuring frag it turns out that his name is Sullivan and he used to have his own shop.

Mother remarked that all clothes should be tailored to a high standard and that only high quality materials should be used.

Sullivan apparently knew her, smiling at the sternness in her voice. Then he started tailoring and said it would take upto an hour.

On the way to Flourish and Blotts mother showed us Ollivanders. It was easy to spot because a big sign on the stand with golden letters said Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 BC.

When we entered the book store we were surprised by a queue.

"Go, take a look around but be back here in time and Aurel please go with your brother." Mother allows us to roam.

Draco immediately went to the quidditch compartment and read the book 'Learning Qudditch, made easy.'

Even if I'm not interested in this topic, I go with him and take a book from the shelf, it's about classic brooms.

"You're a qudditch fan too?"

A boy with black hair, fair skin and relatively tall for his age asks me. He must be the same age as me and apparently quite friendly too since he offers to shake my hand.

"I'm also a fan of qudditch my name is Adrian Pucey and yours?"

"It's Aurelius, nice to meet you Adrian, how do you pronounce your last name?"

"Ohh it's pyoo-cee."

"Thank you and to your question no to be honest I can't be less interested in qudditch." I answer truthfully.

He seemed surprised by my answer and the directness I show.

"But brooms are very interesting."

Relieved of that, he started talking to me about brooms new and old while I watched Draco in the background.

"What position do you play in quidditch?"

Annoyed by his personality, I answer defiantly.

"The spectator."

"Sorry I forgot you're not a qudditch fan what do you like so I'm just talking about broomsticks and flying." He says, what surprises me.

"I like magic."

"Yes magic is very cool too what is your favorite magic for me it is Ascendio. With the spell you can shoot something in the air."

"Adrian I have to go now my mother is waiting for me it was nice speaking to you we will definitely speak at hogwarts."

I say goodbye to him and pick up Draco on the way to her.

"Your books will be picked up by Dobby today, so you go get your wand now and I'll get the other things now, with your brother, here is some money." She hands me over ten gallons.

I make my way to the wand maker, though I still think about that guy, i met in the book shop. He couldn't stop talking about this damn game, almost pitiful.

I open the door to Ollivanders store was greeted by a black girl, no older than me, leaving with her father. She seemed very happy and excited.

No one was behind the counter so I hung on and ring the bell that is on the stands there. Shortly thereafter, a strange man with pale silvery eyes and white skin appears.

"How can I help you boy" The weird man asks me.

"I need a wand"
