Ryu's POV
"Holy shit..."
I looked around as I saw a huge circular room that had rings around them with computers and a lot of people working. But when I looked at one person I realized his skin was pink.
"What the fuck?" I questioned
"Not everyone here is a human." said the lady
"Oh. Sorry but I didn't get your name." I said
She turned around and stuck out her arm for a handshake.
"My name is Lydia." she replied
It was my first time seeing her face, and she looked around my age, about 5'7, she looked asian but at the same time she looked mixed with a white person. She had long black hair that was tied into a tight ponytail. Her eyes were normal size and the eye color was brown and she had a pretty slim nose and some nice perfectly shaped lips.
"Ryu." I replied as I shook her hand
"I know who you are." she replied, "Follow me."
I followed her towards the center of the room where there was a huge monitor like those scoreboards on top of a basketball court except, the screens were floating.
"Advisor." she called out
She did some kind of salute where she made a fist and gently hit herself on top of where her heart is supposed to, to a man who looked like he was around his 30s, beard, buff and but he had pointy ears. He was wearing a suit, not some kind of military uniform that looked a bit like those combat uniforms from Halo but without the gear. I was a huge Halo fan back then.
"Ahh, Ryu you're back?" he seemed confused a bit but he then looked sad, "I suppose this is the last Ryu."
"Huh?" I questioned
"Sorry I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Kurt. Leader of the MVA, Multi Verse Association." replied the man
'Oh, so dimensions and other things are real.'
"I know you are very confused but we will answer your questions." said Kurt
"Well, sir I uhhh have a lot of questions but the first thing that's in my head is why me?" I asked
"You're special." he replied
I looked at him as if he was stupid.
"I'm not special at all, I'm really a nobody." I replied, "I'm just a nerd who gets bullied all the time."
"Yes, you may get bullied but there's something more about you." said Kurt
"And what's that?"
"You're the last version of Ryu." sighed Kurt
My mind felt empty and I couldn't absorb that information.
"I'm the last what?" I asked
He sighs and Lydia just looked away.
"There are multiple earths, and there are multiple versions of you." said Kurt
"So, the person that looked like me who died was another version of me?" I asked
Kurt nodded and I felt my heart throbbing in my chest.
"But why does that matter?" I asked
"Every time a version of someone dies, their powers get transferred to another version. Such as strength, speed, stamina, intelligence." he said
'No wonder I'm so fucking smart.'
"Since you're the last, you're the one who has all of it." said Kurt
"But, what kind of powers do I have? I don't think I have powers, I never did anything abnormal." I replied
Kurt seemed confused for a second. He then pulls out a stick and starts scanning me and a picture of my body starts appearing on the screen.
"What? No sign of any augmentation?" questioned Kurt
"That's not possible." said Lydia
"You're supposed to have augmentation? You're the last so why don't you have any?" questioned Kurt
"Okay, I don't care about any power but who was that other female who killed the other version of Ryu?" I asked
"Her name is Demon, she's the one that killed every version of you." replied Lydia
"What..."
"Yes, I know. She's a complete demon just like her name." replied Lydia
Lydia looked really sad, as if she was about to cry.
"How many versions of me were there?" I asked
"There were exactly 132 versions of you including yourself." said Kurt
"She killed 131 Ryus?" I gasped
I felt sick, she was a complete psycho.
"Why is she doing this?" I asked
"Cause every version of you gets in her way." she replied
"Wait, so every version of me was here?" I asked
"No, only 23 versions were here including you." replied Kurt
He looked at Lydia with uneasiness and sighed.
"Okay, then who's the original?" I asked
"Earth Prime Ryu, Earth Prime is where everything started. Where earths began to develop." replied Kurt
"I see. So how many earths are there?" I asked
"Uncountable." replied Kurt
"What do you mean uncountable?" I asked
"Depending on the decisions someone makes in their lives, it creates different routes and different consequences." explained Kurt, "Some earths can be so similar it can take you a long time to find the difference."
"Okay, and what's this organization for?" I asked
"Our job is to make sure that every earth survives. We make sure that not a single one gets destroyed, but since there are too many earths we can't catch up. At least a million earths are getting destroyed everyday." explained Kurt, "We also maintain order with dimensions and time traveling so that no one can abuse it."
"I see, there's also time traveling but that doesn't really interest me." I replied, "But what about Demon, what's she doing?"
"Demon is just like you. She's the last but she on the other hand killed her versions so that she can have all the power to herself. Now she's basically a god." said Kurt, "She even killed Lucifer all by herself and now she's the ruler of hell."
"Holy shit."
I felt scared to even look at her.
"She's so strong that in one minute she can destroy an entire planet." said Kurt
"How did she know about all these dimensions and shit?" I asked
"She was part of the MVA." replied Kurt, "But she took advantage. We tried stopping her but we were too late."
I sighed, this was too much information for me to handle. I hated it so much, I just want to live my normal life.
"Ryu, we need you here." said Kurt
'Huh? Did he read my mind?'
"I could read minds." said Kurt
"Oh that's your ability?" I asked
"Yes." he replied
"What about yours?" I asked
"Water, mine is augmentation just like you." said Lydia
"I see, well what was Ryu's augmentation then?" I asked
"Lightning." replied Lydia
"Ahhh, I see." I replied, "Anyways what do you mean by you need me here?"
"Ryu you're in danger, Demon will stop at nothing to get her hands on you. We'll protect you." said Kurt
I thought about it and sighed. I looked around and saw everyone working hard to get things done but I really don't know if I want to do it. But something in my heart told me that if I didn't accept it, my mom can be in danger.
"I'll do it, I'll stay." I replied
"Good but you have a lot of training to do." said Kurt

1 hour later
"Come on, you're literally the weakest Ryu I've ever met." complained Lydia
I fell to the ground after doing 25 push ups.
"You said that all the strength, speed and stamina comes to me. Why can't I do any pushups? Hell I feel like I did worse than before. Damn the only thing that came to me was intelligence." I complained
"That's why it's weird. You're different from every Ryu." said Lydia
"You seem to know Ryu a lot." I said
"I've been partners with every Ryu." sighed Lydia
She turned around and looked away.
"Hey are you okay?" I asked
"Yea, I'm fine." she replied
That's when someone barged into the room. I turned around and saw a man with a hood on, he was wearing the same type of armor plates but his cloak was inside. I recognized him as the man who fought Demon when Lydia saved me.
"Oi, Ryu I see that you're exercising." called out the dude
"Oh yes, my name is Ryu." I greeted
"I know who you are." he sighed, "But my name is Kishimoto."
I examined his face and I noticed that he was Asian, he looked Japanese. He had a strong jawline, I could barely see any cheek fat, he just looked buff in general. His eyes were pretty small compared to Lydia's and his eyes were black. He had a buzzcut and he was about 5'11 and looked a year older than me.
"I see you're Japanese right?" I asked
"Japanese?" questioned Kishimoto
"Wait sorry I'm not used to the multiple versions of earths." I apologized
"It's fine, but we're here to take out your eyes." he said
"T-take out my eyes?" I stuttered
"He means eye surgery. You're wearing glasses so we're going to replace your eyes with better ones." said Lydia
"Oh I see you guys have advanced technology, I like that." I said
I was led to this medical bay that had a medical bed in the middle with some screens around it.
"Hello Ryu, take a seat." said a voice to my left
I turned and backed up once I saw him. He looked like an orc but a bit better looking than the ones in movies.
"Sorry I'm really not used to non humans." I said
"Oh it's okay. Just call me doc." said the doctor
I nodded and I laid down in the bed. The doctor started touching the screens and something on top of me started moving and it started descending and it was tools used during surgery but some of them I couldn't recognize what they were.
"I'll take your glasses, and here is some nerve gas. You'll be asleep and you won't feel pain at all." said Doc
"Okay, I'm ready." I said
He put an airfit mask on my face and I inhaled the gas and I started feeling drowsy. I don't fight it so I just closed my eyes and went to sleep.

I started to gain consciousness, my mind focusing, my eyes slowly opening. Once I opened my eyes the first thing I noticed were the bright lights beaming against my eyes. I slowly sat up and my eyes felt a bit weird and I was about to touch them but someone grabbed my arm and pulls it down.
"Don't touch your eyes for two hours so that they could adjust." said a familiar voice
I looked over to see Doc but my vision was the same without my glasses, blurry, I couldn't see his face clearly so I had to squint to see him.
"Don't worry, your eyes are adjusting so in 2 hours you'll be able to see again." said Doc
"Thanks. What about my glasses?" I asked
"You can't wear them." said Doc
"Okay but can I still have them?" I asked
He handed me my glasses and I put them in my pocket.
"After two hours you'll get your vision back. Come back to me if anything feels uncomfortable or if you can't see correctly." said Doc
I nodded in response and got up from the bed. I carefully made towards the door and once I opened the door, Lydia and Kishimoto were waiting outside.
"Oi, we're going to take you to your room." said Kishimoto
I nodded and I was led through the hallways and with multiple circular sliding opening doors until I got to one door and they pressed a button and the door broke apart in the middle and it opened showing my room. But for some reason it looked messy, like as if someone was in here before me. I looked over to the door frame and next to the door was a small screen with something on it. I squinted to see better and I saw my picture and my name next to it on the screen.
"Is this, the other Ryu's room?" I asked
They both nodded and led me in some messy room, clothes were all over the floor, the desk had papers all over it and the computer on the desk looked like it had a bunch of tabs on it.
"Uhh yeah thanks." I said
"Get some rest and meet us again in the gym." said Lydia
They left the room and closed the door behind them leaving me in a pile of mess.
'I can't get rest with these things.'
I began cleaning up the clothes and the other garbage on the floor and either threw them in the laundry basket but once I threw them in they came back out all clean and folded.
'Nice.'
I threw out all the useless things in the garbage and they immediately burned away.
"Whoa."
I finished cleaning up and I began to pile up the new clothes and I opened up a metal wardrobe. But once I opened it up I saw a sword inside on top of some of the clothes so I took it and examined it. It looked like a katana but with no guard, black and blue and pretty long about 2 feet and a half long. I pulled it out of the cover and it looked highly advanced, the sword was straight rather than curved.
"Cool."
I put the cover back on and put it back in the wardrobe.
"It doesn't belong to me, so I'm not going to use it." I said
I laid down on my bed and sighed.
'I wonder what my mom is doing.'
I reached into my pocket to grab my phone but I remember I left it back at the library.
'She'll be fine, I can always just time travel back to that time to comfort her any time.'
I sighed and closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
