37 Who is Fist??

It's been six months since The military training begin. The training becomes more intense with each passing weak. Hange, Levi and his squad went after 20 days to go in an expedition. According to Levi, they lost only 2 soldiers, it seems that there was a lot of abnormal titans this time. But on the overall status, it was a breaking record for them. Levi was angry since he wished to return with all the soldiers but his wish couldn't be granted even with the help of Ace's power.

After with 3 months and after Ace managed to pull a 100 potions to give to Erwin, The survey corps did another expedition. And this time around it was a success. No soldier got killed and all the soldiers came back alive. The people were thrilled that the survey got strong enough to manage to go outside the wall for a whole day without getting killed.

Some people questioned their success and spread rumors about the survey corps camping near the wall in some close city to wall Rose not realizing how ridiculous that is.

And 1 month later, Erwin decided to go in another expedition, Ace's power was coming back to him so he didn't mind increasing the number of potions he makes every day. although 2 was the maximum limit.

In that expedition. Erwin's motive wasn't to reclaim some land or anything but to catch a titan. He needs to prepare some groundwork lies for the time when Ace starts throwing his power on them. The purpose of that catching that Titan was for Hange to do some experiment on, she was the one who insisted on it. On the day of the expedition, Erwin took with him a large platform dragged with 4 horses. They departed near the sunset, they would kill the Titans on their way and wait the night to fall for the Titans to stop moving, then they could pin some titan on that platform.

They did succeed, they captured a 5 meters titan and made sure to cover so the sunlight won't reach him. They brought him back inside the wall, the people didn't manage to see on their way to the base but Erwin promised that he will give people a chance after they make sure to pin it on some solid platform in the night.

After making sure to pin the titan to a wall near the Survey corps HQ so they can heavily guard it. The people got the chance to see a titan up close but they were too afraid to come near so all they could do is watch from far away. And thus shutting down every rumor about the survey corps faking their success in defeating the Titans.

And now, At sunset, after the training was over. Levi is back in the training camp in his building with Ace looking at him in a strange manner.

"What's wrong with that look." Levi asked with a frown " It makes want to punch your perfect teeth!"

"What's wrong Vice-Captain? you don't believe us too?!" Oluo looked at Ace with a proud look, he was in the party of capturing the titan with his other squad members.

"I believe you, but..." Ace sighed deeply " Was showing off like that necessary, I mean. You just made yourself the center of attention."

"How can Hange even influence Erwin to do as she said!" It really wasn't in Ace calculations that Erwin would make this decision. He wished for the survey corps to just act as they did in the show, Go outside in expeditions and try to kill as many titans as possible. He didn't wish for them to do extra things like capturing Titans. Doing as such will just bring more eyes to watch the survey corps, the possibility of someone finding their relation will also increase.

"Ahh! I see why you're confused..." Levi put down his cup of tea and looked at Ace as if he was an idiot "...Do you honestly believe that we can keep your powers a secret forever?" Asked Levi " How many soldiers are willing to keep the secret from everyone, I know many who will say everything in exchange for some coins to live their next years in peace."

"Your meaning is..." Said Ace, he doesn't like the way Levi is looking at him.

"It means that we are using the titan as an experiment and if by chance someone realized we are using the potions, we can use the 'Results' of Hange's experiment to get you out of the picture" said Levi as he explained further " The Military Police is making visits to our camp these past days more often."

" I see.." Ace nodded in agreement after thinking for a moment. The survey corps soldiers aren't all loyal, some ended up there just because there was no other choice. If perhaps the Military Police or anyone ended up discovering the potions a backup plan is absolutely needed. " But. If they wanted proof that Hange can really get something out of the Titans?"

"That's where you come in this." Said Levi as he lightly punched Ace on the chest " You know more than anyone here about the Titans' powers. So, if you have any suggestions, hurry up and say."

Ace thought for a moment, Hange won't be able to get anything out of the Titan to use as a replacement for the potions, it is really difficult to say anything. But Ace could only think of one thing.

"As far as I know, The power of the Titans resides within a human's spinal fluid, this may be the case for a pure Titan too." Ace sighed deeply as he couldn't think of anything else "It's really hard. This plan may be able to buy us some time. "

Levi frowned a little. He shared a look between his squad members and nodded " Spinal fluid, huh?... Eld, you ride to the HQ, tell Hange to focus on the Titan's spinal fluid. She may be able to get something out of it."

Ace's conversation was interrupted by Levi who called for him.

"And now hurry and tell me why you wanted to speak with me?" Said Levi, This small meeting wasn't out of whim but Ace had something to request from Levi.

"Ah yes! I need you to cover for my absence tomorrow and a horse." He said making the squid surprised.

"What's the horse for?..." Asked Eld, frankly, he didn't ask why Ace will be absent tomorrow.

"I need something to move a body with " Said Ace with a light smile. His words made Levi and the squid confused. Did this Idiot kill someone?! They thought.

"Whose body?" Asked Levi, if the person is already dead and the news is not out yet, they can make it seem like an accident.

"Don't worry, the person is still alive. But I will just need to make him go to sleep for a little until we're out of the training camps territory." Ace knows what they were thinking of so he needed to assure them that there is nothing wrong. But there maybe after tomorrow.

"The horses are in the back, take one. As for your absence, you will be sent to deliver a message to Lord braveheart about the delay of the food's delivery." Said Levi, he picked up his cup of tea again " Just don't cause any trouble...We can't keep cleaning after you every time." Levi warned Ace about his misbehavior.

If Ace said he wasn't taking a little advantage from his position with the survey corps he would be lying. Mostly he would ask for skipping some classes or getting in fights with Eren against some arrogant Nobel or Jean. Fortunately, Ace doesn't do major problems and only takes advantage of his rank to avoid harsh punishment from Levi. But this time, Ace is probably gonna harm someone, it will be difficult to cover for that if it's found out.

In the end, Levi and his squad are just instructors in here, if any major problem happened they won't be able to act.

"Don't worry about that Captain, I will make sure everything is okay." Ace turned back to Leave the building.

For the past months, Ace didn't spend his time just raining and playing around. He was carefully observing and counting how many of 'them' are there. He didn't want to miss any one of 'them'.

After those months, Ace was sure. There is 5 of them, 2 Acting separately and 3 in one group, they all do the same, they just observe and make sure they blend carefully while keeping an eye on each other and Ace.

Also, Regarding Annie. After his brutal rejection, Ace didn't give up and did as Petra told him and is to form a strong relationship with her before acting again. It was awkward at first and Jean ridiculed him again making Ace give Jean a reminder of how scary he can be if angered.

He took it upon himself to grind for a battering relationship with Annie, at least to the Level of her not denying his existence. And it went pretty good, although he received help from Krista and Ymir who took pity on him after witnessing his undying effort but fruitless. Thanks to these girls, Ace got to have more time with Annie and develop a new relationship with her.

For now, they are just mutual friends. It's a big improvement.

Also, Durning that time. Ace realized how much he had neglected Mikasa. He often saw her watch him too when he was observing the 5 people from before. She somehow had sad eyes. His hear was pained when he finally remembered the first girl he got close to. How she followed him in the streets how she cried when she thought he was dead. How she wanted revenge on the colossal titan and how happy she was. He seems to have forgotten that the Mikasa from the show who only cares about the well being of Eren and would be happy if he was safe.

This Mikasa is not as cold as in the past, but her emotion had surfaced and she becomes like any other girl, her feelings are vulnerable. Although she still got that monstrous strength.

And on that. Ace had decided he won't let her wait anymore and after he takes care of those 5, he will respond to her feelings. The waiting period before he can take another wife is over according to the law. So there is no reason for him to wait anymore.

He wants her as much she wants him. Annie can wait, there are 3 years before the training camp is over.

" Who should I start with....??" Ace was walking toward the big hall, the sun is going down as she sends Red sunrise to color the earth.

Ace saw on the other side of the camp, the girl in the warehouse. It was their turn to clean the equipment. There he saw one of 'them', It then struck him.

'Let's start with her...' Ace chuckled as the wind moved real fast and the atmosphere became cold.

Ace's first target is the silver-haired girl...Anna!
