Early in the morning at the Braveheart family's mansion. Mikasa, Armin, and Eren are standing in the cold wind of the morning. because it was the winter the city is covered by a thin layer of fog

Eren and Armin are shivering in their places while Mikasa just looked at the man in front of them, he had the uniform of the military police

"You will wake up at this time every day and come here in the backyard," the man said with a serious expression, he had in his hand a whip that is used to hit the horses to run faster " whoever is late will be punished"

Armin raised his hand " A-and why do we have to do that?"

The man smiled " Good question" he made a saluting pose and screamed " I am captain Lorance Vari. your personal trainer by request from Duke Braveheart himself. I will be responsible for making you into great soldiers by the time of the Military training "

The kids were surprised at the sudden turn of events as they murmured between themselves, well, mainly Armin and Eren because Mikasa was stretching her body so she can start training immediately. this caught the attention of C. Lorance ' Good, someone has the potentials of a soldier'

C. Lorance stopped the kids noise and pointed at the small grass fields in front of them, it was filled with many obstacles for training " START!!"

Mikasa quickly sprinted toward the obstacles while Armin and Eren turned to C.Lorance and asked " How? are we supposed to overcome those? tell us."

Vine marks appeared on C.Lorance's face " FIGURE THAT BY YOURSELF!!" his shout made Armin and Eren run behind Mikasa who already finished half of the course

C. Lorance is standing with his arms crossed, he was looking at the kids while evaluating them. the obstacles were made like a maze and complex that the kids need to understand what kind of obstacle they're facing so they can move forward. this is the best

' The girl is a prodigy both physically and mentally. the brown-head kid is good physically but the worst mentally. the blond kid is the best in using his brain but needs to work on his physical strength' C. Lorance started thinking about his plan to improve them. He only has a little time until the military training

Krista found a bench to sit on to relax, she had already given up on caring about a lot of things a long time ago, she heard from one of the servants that her supposed husband is a man named Ace who is a fat ugly man that looks like a pig. She couldn't help but tremble as she imagined her future life under her future husband

While Krista is immersed in her imagination, a servant girl came to her " Young Lady, Reiss-Sama is calling for you " she then turned and left without any further words

Krista stood up slowly, she looked at the sun and raised her had to cover her eyes as she sighed deeply before she left the vast garden of Duke Reiss to meet her father

" It is a pleasure to meet you again with your family, Duke Braveheart " Reiss smiled gently at Roger while sneaking some glances at Ace

" The pleasure is mine, Duke Reiss" Roger returned the smiled with another one but it is fake, like Reiss's " Meet my family, here is my wife Maria and our biggest pride, Ace our son" Roger introduced his family with pride and a genuine smile on his face

" We came today in order to see our soon to be daughter-in-law" This was Ace's request from his father, he wanted to see who is his wife now. being left in the dark about her identity made him feel uncomfortable

" Of course, I will send someone to get her " Reiss signaled to one of the nearby servants to go get Krista

It wasn't long until Krista came in causing Ace to widen his eyes like a plate, of all the possible girls he thought of, "She" wasn't on the list, why is she here? wasn't she a farmer? why? how? when?

Too many questions poped in Ace's mind, he looked at Krista with shocked expression making his parents to be confused while Reiss just thought that the boy was fascinated with his daughter, after all, he can't deny she was a beautiful lady, especially with her Red dress

Krista came in and bowed a little to the Bravehearts and sat down beside her "Father" quietly without even looking at them. in fact, she didn't want to see her "Pig" husband, even she had standards. Even she has a knight in shining armor in her dreams while the rest took it like she was just shy

Maria looked at Krista intensely with her eyes scanning her while Roger just nodded his head ' Not bad ' he thought

" This is my daughter Krista, she too couldn't wait to meet her husband, she can't wait for the wedding. just as I told her that her husband will be coming today, she ran through all her clothes until she settled on this dress," said Rod Reiss as he exaggerated and lied

' You sent me this' thought Krista

" She made that dress look beautiful " Commented Ace, his words made Roger give him a thumbs up, as for Krista, when she heard the voice of the young man, she for the first time raised her head up and looked at the young boy who commented on her dress

She looked around and saw no one beside them until her eyes landed on Ace who was smiling at her as he admired her beauty

' There is no pig man ' she thought while feeling ashamed for believing the servant's Gossips, she looked at the boy whose hair is smooth as water and grey like ash, his eyes are like the moon in the darkest night and she couldn't help but admire his handsome face and strong aura

" Thank you for the compliment Ace-Sama" realizing she took too much time, Krista quickly stood up and bowed at Ace

Ace in turn too stood up " How about we walk outside?" he said as he gave her his right hand

Rod Reiss laughed and said " Go, you're going to be a husband and wife soon, talk with each other " Roger and Maria seconded him on that

Krista hesitated to take his hand at first as her heart was beating so fast. this was her first time being around a man much more to a man who is going to be her husband. but she quickly gathered her courage and locked his hand with her's. her face is red as a tomato but no one cared as they found her cute, especially Ace ' She is even cuter in real life ' he thought

The children left the mansion and headed towards the garden at the top of the mansion, this Graden is privately owned by Rod Reiss and no one is allowed to enter it but he gave his permission to the children to use it
