43 Housewife?!!

The next morning. At 6 PM, Levi got the new recruits for the early morning training. After they did some warm-up and immediately started working on the ODM gear training, the physical training was over a long time ago. Since humanity is under the Titans' threat, training on killing them is a top priority.

"Alright, you will be separated into two groups. For now, it will boys and girls." Said Levi. The recruits in front of him looked at each other to confirm their members

"Captain Levi!!" One boy shouted getting everyone's attention. It was Julius, he raised his hand and stepped forward.

"What is it? If it's something not important, I'm breaking your teeth." Levi looked at Julius with an intimidating eye.

Julius sweated slightly and faked laughed "The thing is...I want to quit!" His words surprised many people. Julius is one of the recruits who doesn't stand out a lot and Levi noticed on him that he can keep up with the training. So he was really confused.

"And your reason is..." Said Levi, everyone wanted to know the reason, not just him.

"Now that I think about. I don't think I want to face Titans, my family is rich and we can afford the military police's protection...And I don't like the pain." Levi's eyes were cold as ice as he eyed Julius with a murderous look.

"Coward!!" Eren shouted from the crowd. Armin tried to shut him up but he couldn't "How dare you!! are the titans that scary that you can't handle the training?" Following him, many people scoffed at Julius' reason and behavior. They weren't his friends so they didn't feel any remorse insulting. Julius stayed silent and faced Levi.

Levi sighed and with a cold and harsh voice, he said "If that is your reason...then you aren't cut to be a soldier...You can try your luck as a housewife after you leave!" he said.

Julius' face became red after what Levi said. The new recruits were laughing their ass off.

"A housewife!!" Jean pointed at Julius who was trembling.

"hahaha!!! Go back and clean the kitchen!!" Connie added after Jean

Even Eren was laughing at him. The girls were trying to hold their laughter but they failed, even the sweet Krista was giggling at him.

Never in his life had Julius suffered this humiliation, in his head, he took an oath to end Levi personally, but not now, he still has many uses for him.

"Go one..." Levi pointed behind him at the training camp's big gate "You can walk from here to the next city all by yourself."

Julius clenched his teeth and took off outside of the camp.

Levi looked back at the new recruits and said: " Any other housewife that wants to follow him?"

All of the refused his question and laughed it off. Like hell! who wants to go through that humiliation too.

"If that is so then head to the forest after equipping your gear. We gonna practice with the wooden titans for this week too." Following his words, everyone picked their stuff and ran to the forest. They split into two teams, one made of boys and the other made of girls.

"The team who gets more wooden titan points will skip the evening training while the loser gets double." Said Levi, he launched a hook at the tallest tree with a small board in his hand. it had the scores of the two teams on it, currently, both are at zero but that will change soon.

The boys and girls got ready and prepared to take off to the sky

"Go!" Levi shouted and the two teams shot to the sky with lines of smoke behind them

They rush to kill any wooden titan in the area. The girls took the lead with Mikasa and Annie who got into a heated competition unconsciously. Both didn't want to lose to each other for a reason, this competitiveness started back when they trained together.

"Damn it! I still haven't got any points" Coonie complained as he switched his gear to go up higher

One girl, who was behind him laughed "Not so good when it comes to actual combat, huh?" She mocked Coonie " You boys always win when it comes to physical training but it seems that we, the girls' team got too many skilled soldiers for our own good" she was hinting at Mikasa and Annie who alone, got 12 wooden titans

Coonie wanted to hit her on the face but once he saw a wooden Titan ahead he turned into a wolf as he shot straight and cut deep into its neck

"Haha!! Take that! For your information, if Ace was here we would be the winning team" he said causing the girl to click her tongue.

It is a well-known fact among the recruits that Ace is the strongest of their generation and there is a rumor that he is as strong as Captain Levi.

"That is right! But we cannot rely on Ace to win this, we should be able to win this if we worked together. " Armin who was near them and heard their conversation said "This is a team battle after all...Coonie can you gather the others for me?" Armin asked Coonie who nodded after thinking for a moment

The girl left the place because she has no time and she needs to get a few points here and there.

Armin and the boys gathered, they need a plan and organize their movements

With Armin's help, the boys agreed to go in a 3 man team and forsake their right to get points for the team.

2 boys will protect the attacker from the girls who will try to stop him.

The plan was working fine on most girls but when it came to Mikasa and Annie they still couldn't surpass them.

The points' difference became smaller and smaller as the targets started to become lesser.

In the end, it was the girls' team win.

Levi was noting on his board the names of the exceptional recruits who stood out today, of course, Mikasa and Annie were there too with Armin, Krista, Eren, Jean, Coonie, Ymir, Raven, Sasha, Reiner, Berthold, and Marco.

Later, the recruits gathered around Levi.

"Alright, the girls get to rest while the boys have to do three laps around the mountain" he hides his board and said "See you this afternoon, but in the meantime try to improve your skills with the gears" Levi took his horse and departed to the camp. He still needs to prepare the evening obstacles course

The boys and girls decided to do rematch except for Mikasa and Annie who didn't want to take part in a petty rematch.

Krista, Ymir, Armin, Coonie, Berthold and Reiner volunteered to work as the Wooden Titans controler

On the other side of the Forest, Ace and Anna are coming back slowly on the back of Ace's horse

Ace is controlling the horse while his upper body is naked. Anna is giving him her back as she leaned on him, she is still wearing her pants and bra only, from time to time she had to adjust them

"Seriously, now that I think about it, how can someone think about getting a Harem in a world as brutal as this?! That so selfish" Anna had always wondered about this, she asked Ace who had a bored expression from how slow the horse is going

"Yeah, me too, how can someone even think of that, they should be thinking of surviving first," he said, his voice is deep and bored, his eyelids are threatening to fall down, he didn't sleep for a whole night.

"I am talking about you" Anna elbowed Ace who didn't seem to bother about it

All he did was answer her in an uninterested manner "I am not like the others, I can't die...Maybe. But I am not planning on a harem. All I wanted was Mikasa and Annie, I could relate to the two of them"

"What about Historia?" She asked

"Who?" Asked Ace

"Historia, your wife?" Anna turned her neck to look at Ace

"Don't you mean Krista?" Ace corrected Anna

"Oh! She didn't tell you?" She asked

"Tell me what? Look, I Don't like beating around the bushes, come at me straight" Ace looked at Anna with a cold glare that scared Anna for a moment

"I think she will tell you when she is ready " Anna dismissed the topic and looked in front of her which is the behind of Ace since they are sitting back to back on top of the horse

Ace too turned and looked in front of him, he sighed and folded his legs on top of the horse's back. He had just confirmed that Anna knows some shit.

He really doesn't care that much about Krista's name or anything and he isn't willing to dig in her past. He already knows that Krista doesn't trust him completely, she still has her facade that she had the day she met him.

She is happier and more trusting than ever but it's not enough for her, Ace knows that she is afraid of her past, of who she is...And if his wife is scared of her past. By what right does Ace had to ask her to tell him? For him, she is fine the way she is and he is willing to wait for hundred of years.

Ace shook his head as he was still thinking about the conversation he had with Anna and what she told him about the other reincarnators

"Hey..." He called for her"You said you stayed behind to ask the high beings something very important, what was it?" Ace asked. This was the main thing that is bothering him now. He just got very curious, this is was the first time for him thinking about something for this long.

"Ah, that, I asked them about the effects of the Titan Curse on us." She said nonchalantly

"And what did they say?"

"Once we reach full adulthood... Meaning 20 years old, we die. And the only way to cure that curse is by drinking the king's blood." Said Anna "But we couldn't just walk and drink the king's blood fearing of alarming you."

Ace realized that she didn't realize who the 'King' in this situation is. He casually slit his wrist and took a handful of blood before his hand regenerated.

He forcefully turned Anna's face to him and stuffed his blood in her

"Wha?!!" She couldn't react as the blood went down her throat. Soon she felt like chains were being broken inside her body and she started feeling her body getting lighter

"What was that?!!" She asked it feels strange and mysterious to her

"I just broke the curse. Consider it as all of your future services, and I linked you with my soul, meaning as long as I am alive, you too will stay alive." Ace wasn't fazed at how incredible what he did is. For Anna, that was a lifetime wish. She kept on looking at his back with incredible awe and gratitude. This man spared her life even though they were enemies, gave her the chance to take revenge and even removed that hateful curse from her body.

Anna now was feeling so much better, for once, she felt her life was safe.

"About what you've said earlier... Being selfish." Ace said suddenly. Anna looked back at him and smiled "Don't dwell on it. I was just trying to tease you a little" she said

"No, you were right. The way I see it, I am the worst kind of selfish people." Ace said with a hint of guilt in his voice

"How so?" Asked Anna.

Ace didn't answer as he looked in front of him, he saw the camp ahead.

He sighed and kicked the horse to move in

"I let 250,000 people die just so I can meet one person and have the story that I had always wanted."

Anna felt the guilt in his voice, maybe because he is good at hiding his feeling or he seems cheerful at all times but this time he let his feelings at little loose.

But she doesn't know if he did so because he trusts her or he just couldn't handle it and wanted to share it with someone who can relate to him
