Annie's POV

"Brooks!" I called out

13 year old Brooks came down the stairs.

"Yea?" he asked

"Are you ready for school?" I asked

"Yea yea I just need to put my socks on." he replied

"What about your sister?" I asked

"Oh yea she's all ready too." he replied

15 year old Ashley came down the stairs looking tired.

"Damian and Thomas are both waiting for you outside." I said

"Oh okay bye mom." she simply replied

She kissed me on the cheeks and left the house right before Brooks came down.

"Josh, Alfred, Calvin, Lehman, Vanessa and Mina are waiting for you outside Brooks." I said

"What already?" he questioned

He pulled out his phone and quickly typed something before coming into the kitchen to fill up his water bottle.

"Are you going to be late again?" he asked

"Depends on how many patients and staff there are." I replied

"Dad's never home and when he is he always leaves to go to Uncle Zeke's place." he said

I sighed in frustration.

"Look whatever he's doing it's his business, I'm pretty sure it's for the sake of the world." I said

"I guess." sighed Brooks, "I'll be home before 9."

"7." I replied

"Fine." he said

He left the house and I was left alone so I pulled out my phone and dialed a number. The phone rang and rang for at least a minute until finally he picked up.

"What?" he asked

"When are you going to be home? Brooks and Ashley are dying sick to see you." I asked

"Not today." he simply replied

"Then when?" I asked

"Soon."

I groaned and rubbed my eyes together.

"Your memories are affecting you right now." I said

He stays silent then hangs up on me.

"Why that Jaeger..." I growled

I slumped myself onto the couch and turned on the TV showing another terrorist attempt to take our titan serum. Eren was one of the soldiers with Jean, Levi, Connie, Porco and Bertholdt. Mike's squad was also there which consisted of Thomas, Gelgar, Henning, Lynne and Nanaba.

Porco is now a titan shifter, we were somehow able to turn him into a shifter by giving him Ymir's spinal fluid when he volunteered to be part of an experiment.

Sentinel is still active but the government decided to "disband" them so that the public thinks they no longer exist. Bounty Hunters are still active and they only recruit Sentinels who were badly injured during action.

I sighed and pulled out my phone and checked the time and yawned as I had work in about an hour.

"Today in the United States..." said the news reporter

I looked at the TV screen and it showed multiple people at a building but the first two people I noticed were Ghost and Aid getting into a car. Ghost and Aid weren't recognized at all, they marked Ghost and Aid KIA 10 years ago, even all the other 300 Sentinels who were part of the surviving force. They'll do anything to keep themselves secret, the only ones who know that they're still active are us, the Eldian force. But then my phone suddenly rang and when I picked it up it was from Historia.

"Hiiii Annie! How have you been?" she excitedly asked

"We literally met 2 days ago." I replied

"I know but it felt long." she replied

I smiled, happy that someone still cares.

"Anyways, do you want to come over to the palace? Ghost and Aid are coming for a meeting to deal with these terrorists." she said

I remembered the day 11 years ago when we were attacked by imposters but since Ghost was coming I knew there was nothing to worry about.

"If I can, I want to meet him and talk about Eren." I said

"Okay, get here by 1 pm that's when the meeting will end." she said

"Okay I'll let you know." I replied

"Okay bye Annie!" she excitedly said

"Bye." I bluntly replied

I got up and got dressed into my nurse outfit and packed up my things and left the house.

Ghost's POV

"This is the luxury we get?" I asked

"Yea kind of." replied Malvik

We entered a private jet which I didn't know we were riding on.

"Well, looks like I'm leaving Keegan, Emma and Emily again." I sighed

"It's only for a week." replied Malvik, "Plus it's not like we're leaving him."

"Keegan has some resentment towards me." I said, "I'm not that great as a father."

"You'll get the hang of it." replied Mavlik

"How's Tessa doing?" I asked

"The same, Commander of the Bounty Hunters." chuckled Malvik

"Sir we'll be taking off now please take a seat." said a girl that looked really familiar

I looked at her and she waved.

"My name is Gabi Braun, I'm Reiner's cousin." she greeted

It suddenly hit my head.

"It's been 11 years, you've changed a lot." I said

"Yes it really was a long time." she chuckled

"What are you even doing here?" asked Malvik

"My mission as a Scout, to escort you." she said

"Just you?" he asked

"No sir, Falco, Udo and Zofia are on board as well." she said

"Huh?" questioned Malvik

Three other people entered the jet, one was a girl who had Annie's features a bit, one was tall and he reminded me of Bertholdt and the other just looked like a regular guy. All of them were wearing civilian outfits with an equipment belt and a sidearm.

I recognized all of them from 11 years ago when the gas bombs went off. After that one time of seeing them I never saw them, they were assigned to a different underground district.

"Morning sir we'll be your security team." said Falco

"Ah." I simply replied

We took a seat and the jet took off into the air.

"So this is the IMT." I said as I looked at the tablet

"Yes they've been terrorizing Eldia for the past two years." said Aid

I looked at their gear and it looked like these guys were pretty well organized. Military vests, standardized weapons and gear, they could probably last a good well planned firefight.

"Everyday the IMT gets better, it's like they're adapting to the Eldian Scouts." said Malvik

"But they aren't just attacking Eldia." I said

"Yea they're attacking whatever country has the titan serum." he said

"What's their motive?" I asked

"They want to get their hands on titan serum." replied Malvik

"I know that but for what?" I asked

Malvik shrugged so I sighed.

"We can't go to war with them since they're not committing on soil attack on the US but Eldia on the other hand, they could but it'll only devastate the world and it's allies." I said

"And that's where Sentinel comes in." said Malvik

"Sentinel has been dealing with them but they haven't had full authorization to engage." I said

"I know I know." said Malvik

"Out of curiosity what does IMT stand for?" I asked

"Nothing, I think these fuckers just made a name that sounds cool." said Malvik

"Amateurs but with military training." I said

I put the tablet down and looked out the window.

19 hours later

We got off the jet and outside waiting for us was a convoy with Marco and Marlowe waiting.

"Sir it's been long." greeted Marco

"Too long." I said

I give him and Marlowe a handshake before entering the car and driving off towards the palace.

"You should have a separate building to hold your council meetings." said Malvik, "Having it inside the palace could be dangerous."

"We've noticed that, that's why we're going somewhere else." replied Marlowe

They drove away from the palace and onto a road where there was a bunch of civilians watching, police officers on standby and news reporters.

"There sure is a lot of people." said Malvik

I took out my handgun scaring Marlowe and Marco and bit but I unloaded my gun and handed it to Marco.

"Security measures, don't want the officials to feel anxious." I said

Aid did the same and we all waited until we arrived at a building and got off car and there were multiple camera flashes, people cheering for some reason.

But when I looked at the crowd I saw someone I recognized, he was waving to me so I quickly waved once. He was the boy I saved during the rescue operation in Oklahoma City, I'm surprised he moved here. He didn't seem to recognize me but seeing him alive and well was all that mattered for me.

Marlowe and Marco led us inside where Historia and Reiner were waiting with some other politicians/ambassadors from different countries.

'Historia and Reiner haven't changed.'

"Mr Kan." greeted Reiner

'Wait, Ghost is supposed to be dead.'

"Your majesty." I greeted

"I'm so glad you could make it." said Historia

Malvik bowed down to them but I stood there looking at him.

"Please, the meeting will start soon." said Reiner

We entered a giant room where there were like a bunch of other politicians taking seats on the outer ring while the ones representing their country sat on the inside of the ring, the giant round table in the middle.

Malvik took a seat in the middle of the room while I sat on the outer ring, first row and Marco and Marlowe sat next to me. We sat there waiting for others to get comfortable and find their seats before the meeting officially started.

3 hours later

"That went better than I expected." said Malvik, "We might be able to reduce our week to a few days."

"Highly doubt it, overhead a bunch of conversation from countries in South America who disagreed." I said

"You learned how to speak languages they speak in South America?" asked Malvik in surprise

"I had time to kill so why not study." I said

We left the room where there were a bunch of people but one person caught my eye.

"Annie?" I questioned

She looked up, wearing a dress for simply no reason that came to my head.

'I thought she was a nurse.'

"Lieuete - I mean Mr Kan and Mr Tront it's good to see you." she greeted

"What brings you here?" I asked

"Well there was something I wanted to talk about." she said, "Personally with you only."

"I'll head over to the hotel and send you the room number." said Mavlik

I nodded and he left after saying goodbye so we left and walked a bit while talking.

"So you're worried about Eren." I analyzed

"Yea, he's been avoiding me and as a shifter I know what he's going through his memories right now." she said

We entered a cafe and I ordered two coffees and we took a seat.

"Fill me in on that part." I said

"Someone can gain the past shifter's memories by touching someone with royal blood." said Annie

"Royal family huh, like Reiss and Fritz." I said

"Yes, but every time a titan's power is passed down most of the past shifters would be brought down to the next shifter." said Annie

"And who's memories did Eren inherit?" I asked

"His father." she replied

"Father huh, was his father delusional?" I asked

"No I wouldn't know but we both know that he was from Marley before he was supposed to be executed." she said

"You mean turned into a titan." I said

"Yes that was his punishment." said Annie

"But where did the father get his titan ability?" I asked

"I don't know." she replied

"There must be something in the past Eren's father did that we don't know." I said

Annie sighed and looked out the window.

"I don't think Zeke is trying to manipulate him." said Annie

She looked at me with worried eyes.

"I think he's already been manipulated." she said

I took a sip off of my coffee and thought about it.

"What do you want me to do?" I asked

"Huh?" she seemed confused

"You wanted to talk to me because you wanted help didn't you?" I stated

Annie looked around at the other customers in here and sighed.

"I just want Eren tracked down on my phone." I said

"If Eren is planning something his first plan would be to probably take me down." I said, "Ten years will allow him to know me completely."

I quickly checked my phone and put it away.

"Looks like I have to change my tactics." I sighed

"So how are you going to do that?" asked Annie

"During his next medical check up." I replied, "I'll notify Hange on the plans."

"What are you going to do to him?" asked Annie a bit worried

"Inject a tracking device." I said, "But putting it through your phone would be a bit dangerous and risky so it'll go through Sentinel, from there we'll inform you of anything weird or whenever you request for one."

"Thank you, I know you're retired but-"

"Mom?"

I turned around and a boy was standing there with a group of friends.

"Brooks? What are you doing here?" asked Annie

'Brooks grew up a lot.'

"Uncle Ajax?!" excitedly exclaimed Brooks

"Hey kid you grew a lot." I greeted

I looked at his friends and I recognized all of them, Josh, Alfred, Calvin, Lehman, Vanessa and Mina. Vanessa's Mike and Nanaba's daughter and Lehman is Marlowe and Hitch's son which I didn't know 11 years ago. But the thing that I was curious about was that, Josh and Brooks are two years older than the others, are they in the same school?

"What are you doing here? I didn't know you were coming." excitedly said Brooks

"I had some business." I said

I quickly turned to Annie and motioned to come out.

"Anyways I didn't want to bother you since you were retired." said Annie

"I'm not really retired in a sense but it's okay, Eren's a friend of mine so are you." I said

"How long will you be staying here?" asked Annie

"Yea Uncle how long are you staying here for?" asked Brooks

"A week or less, depends on how well the council agrees with everyone." I replied

"Then do you mind training me Uncle?" asked Brooks

"Brooks, he's a busy man." scolded Annie

"Maybe next time." I said

Brooks looked a bit disappointed but nodded.

"Eren's overseas so if you want to be like your father might as well train beforehand." I said, "Getting into the Scouts is not easy so your mom might be able to help."

"She always busy to help me." said Brooks

"Give it time." I said

Brooks nodded but then my phone vibrated and when I took it out it was from Emily.

"I have to go." I said, "If you need me let me know."

Annie nodded and left as Brooks and his friends waved bye to us so I waved back to the kids and Annie.

"Yes?" I asked as I answered the call

"Keegan..." sighed Emily

"Did he cause trouble in school again?" I asked

"No it's just that he's been acting up again and he left the house and now I don't know where he his." said Emily

"Ask Colt for his coordinates." I said

"I know but just, can you do something?" she asked

"I'll try." I replied

"Okay, stay safe there." she said, "I love you."

I smiled before responding.

"I love you too."
