10 (9) Luck or Fate?

It was already mid-day when the four got on the refugee boat. Eren especially had a ugly expression. Just seeing his mother being eaten by a Titan didn't seem to be a good experience. Armin wasn't holding up too well either. A face full of fear could be seen. On the other hand, Mikasa who was sitting next to Eren didn't have an expression on her face. Aria already knew why, however Mikasa seeing Aria looked around all happily was confused. "Aria, are you not sad about your parents?"

Aria just turned to Mikasa and hugged her. "Well of course I am, however I knew it would happen so it doesn't hurt as much as you think."

"What do you mean you knew?" Mikasa replied questioningly.

"About that" She scratched the back of her head and continued "Well from young, my father was part of the survey corps. So I already knew he would die early, that meant I never really gave my heart to him. However my mother was different. She was the only person who I truly loved. But my mother was good at divination. I mean very good. And found out that she would die today with my father"

Mikasa could hear how painful it was through Arias tone. Armin had also listed to what she had said and was surprised "divination, predicting the future. Was your mother really able to tell the future"

Aria turned her head, as she was still hugging Mikasa. "It's true, even I don't know how she did it. But she correctly predicted her death."

The boat trip was long, however in between something inconceivable happened. As the wall had been breached in Shiganshina, another Titan had actually ran all the way through and breached Wall Maria.

Aria already knew this, so she didn't put her mind too it. Illustris also said something that peaked her interest.

"Hey Aria, Master gave you something important" just after the message, a little sound rang out in Arias mind. A transparent screen popped and and the text read -A little gift for you-

Surprised, Aria tapped on the message and 4 Items popped out. They all instantly transferred to a type of inventory her system gave.

"Oh this is interesting, 10,000,000 million seems quite a lot. However techniques should be expensive. Plus this ticket is amazing."

After seeing the things she had gotten, she went to the shop section. Tapping a few buttons, she arrived at the Cultivation section.

"Illustris, is it possible to get rid of any techniques for men and set it to see only woman cultivation techniques?"

Illustris quickly replied and said it was already done. Looking down, Aria saw the page refresh and see the list had changed. Next she changed the parameters to look for the best one. If she had the Universal ticket, she would definitely abuse it.

After the update was complete, there were 3 techniques listed.

All three of these techniques where the best of the best. If she could pick three she would. However, all three had their downfalls as well. The <Shining Empress> technique had one flaw. That is once the user gets to the higher levels they become increasingly greedy and full of them selfs. Aria didn't want to be that type so she crossed it off the list.

Next was the <Divine Galaxy> technique. The flaw it had was the user would become increasingly lustful and would stop at nothing to get what they wanted.

Lastly, the technique that Aria had chosen was the <Soaring Phoenix Cultivation Technique>. However it did come with a drawback as well. Once the user reached higher levels in the technique, they would protect something they liked as if it was a loved one. If as far as to give the users life away. With the description it actually came with a small note on how to control the negative side.

After selecting it, she got confirm and it took away the Universal Ticket. All she had left was the 10,000,000 coins.

"Although I will cultivate from now on, I still next techniques to protect my self" Aria went to the Martial art section and looked through it.

"Annie practices a type of martial art, it's quite similar to boxing and karate." Selecting Karate. There were also different types. Selecting Traditional Karate was the best choice. This type of martial art is based off strength and endurance. This will fit with her cultivation because it will make her stronger and refine her body.

Looking at the price, she could only cry and give away <3,500,000 coins>. The price also included a virtual teacher of best standards. Next she wanted to find another movement technique. What came to mind was teleportation, she selected movement techniques and searched for teleportation. What came up was:

Buying it cost a hefty sum of <4,000,000 coins> leaving Aria with <2,500,000 coins> after the little shopping trip.

As the boat still had a while to go until getting to the Trost district, she decided to check her status

It had already been a few days since arriving in the Trost district, the four had been given shelter and food until they went to a training camp. The living quality wasn't bad, but with all of the experiences so for it made it worse. What was worse was, Aria wasn't able to cultivate or do anything due to being holed up in one room with the 3 of them.

It was already late into the night and Mikasa and Armin were asleep. Eren was also fast asleep but Aria was expecting something. Suddenly, the door quietly opens and someone walks in. The shadow walks over to Eren and wakes him up. As Eren walks out with him, the shadow suddenly stops and turns around. Walking up to Aria, he calls out "Aria, can you hear me. Please could you come with me."
