44 (43) Rescue

The light blue cavern was located underneath the small Reiss chruch, It spanned hundreds of metres across with many pillars in between. Located at the furthest end, Eren was chained up with something in his mouth to keep him from shouting.

Historia and Rod, her father, stood below Eren observing him. It seemed Historia was a little hesitant to go through with the ceremony. She looked into Eren's eye which seemed to be begging and asking why. Rod noticed and grabbed her by the hand and walked up behind him.

"he is a traitor, his father was the one who killed my family." He dragged her hand into Eren's naked back. As they touched, a flash of memories were regained. From the time were Grisha killed the rest of the Reiss family to when Eren inherited the Titan from him.

Eren, opened his eyes wide, he remembered everything from that night. And one thing he didn't expect. He saw Aria with his father, she looked at him and said "Trust Her"

He knew she meant Historia, but didn't get why she was with his father. She could of stopped these things from happening, but kept it like this. He didn't know what she was doing or if it was good for the world or not.

Historia looked at her father and asked "C-can I meet Frieda again?"

She burst into tears while his father explained everything in detail. Eren could on silently listen to what Rod was saying.

Outside of the church, the Levi squad with a few others arrived and got ready. After a few minutes a plan was formed under the watchful eye of Hanji. Armin also had a say in this and created the entry force.

They would create a big smoke bombs which would cover the start of the hall, they would burst through and ambush the people waiting.

It didn't take long before the door was kicked open and alerted the soldiers inside. The blonde haired woman, looked over and found 3 barrels role down the steps onto the floor. She didn't know what they could be before the scouts rushed in.

Sasha fired a flaming arrow into the barrel which made it explode into a large smoke cloud. Using this as cover, the scouts took of and started fighting.

Aria was one of the first to fly through and kill 2 of the 35 that remained. She didn't stop and used the smoke as cover and killed many more. She finally saw the blonde haired woman that got away from her last time.

"You're mine" She coldly smiled and took the shortest route towards her.

The woman looked behind her to find the girl who she had failed to kill previously. She hooked the pillar and flew around trying to shake Aria off. It didn't work as Aria came from above and sliced downwards. She missed by a hairs length and flew back into the smoke.

The woman suddenly looked around and found most of her personal dead, she felt bitter and called for a retreat to the defensive line.

Aria wouldn't let her go so she flew ahead of everyone and hid by the entrance to the main hall. Not long after, around ten figures came rushing past. She smiled and boosted up with her leg strength, the hooks attached and the woman didn't see Aria before it was too late. The blade cleanly slid right through the neck and sent the head flying along with the body.

"Finally" Aria sighed. She let the others go as the net dropped behind the tunnel. Aria had to wait for the rest of the group to catch up before she could continue.

The group arrived with a non injured Hanji as they looked for a way to get through. However, they couldn't when a blinding flash of yellow light penetrated the surround area.

"Eren!" Mikasa was the first one to shout. Aria didn't wait and saw the opening on the roof. With her physical strength she jumped up through the hole. Not many people saw it but Hanji and Armin saw the strength and widened their eyes.

'How strong is she' they thought. They turned towards Levi and Mikasa. The two of them didn't know why they were getting stared and and followed behind Aria.

Rod Reiss, couldn't help himself and crawled towards the spilled Titan serum. He called out to his father and brother, even his daughter and slowly licked it.

Without warning, he began transform crushing the chamber with the transformation. Historia unlocked many of the chains that held Eren down as she struggled to release the other ones.

Before she could go on, a massive wave of air pushed her back sending her tumbling. She was about to hit the wall, when Aria grabbed her and safely put her down.

"Aria?" She saw another figure arrive which was taller and a bit slender. Historia looked up and saw Yimir staring at her woridly.

"Yimir!" She jumped and hugged Yimir with loads of energy which she never thought she had. Realising what was going on, group arrived and pulled Eren back before a large rock could crush him. The group couldn't move so they waited there and saw the Titan transform.

Sasha looked over and said "wait, isn't that Titan at least twice as big as the colossal Titan?" The group seemed to nod as they stared at the transformation.

Eren, looked like he was about to break down so Aria smacked him across the back of the head "don't cry, soldiers don't cry. We fight until the very end, even if it's to our death. Eren, trust me. Even if it looks bad at the moment, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Believe in you and your comrades. Your close friends and even family." She stared at Mikasa and walked over to the black bag. She crouched down and rummaged around until she found 2 small bottles of liquid.

The purple glass bottle read "Armor" in marleyan language. There was also another which read "Strongest"

Aria took the two bottles and walked over to Eren. She crouched down and looked at him. "Do you want to save humanity, do you want to save us?"

It didn't take long for him to decide, he nodded firmly and Aria nodded. She unplugged the "Armor" bottle and said "Drink this" He did as he was told and gulped it down. Annie saw the writing on the bottles and looked surprised due to the language.

Aria took the last bottle and opened it. She didn't wait and gave the liquid to Eren. The group looked at her, but seemed to do nothing about her actions. Aria stood up and pulled him up. She turned towards the ceiling and saw it crumbling.

"You feel the new power you have gained, use it" Aria commanded. Eren could only nod and bit into his hand. He transformed and instantly began to harden. Aria smiled, while Levi told them to get under the Titan.
