18 (17) Battle of Trost (1)

That day was spent cuddling with each other while deciding on who to join. Annie kept on insisting which ever Aria joins, she would. After a bit more bickering she gave up and decided to go with the Survey corps. "Although it may seem dangerous. We have more then enough skill to be the best. Plus, with our Shifting ability, we are able to survive." Annie heard this and nodded.

"Plus, i have a feeling that the people that i'm looking for will be related with the survey corps." Annie said weirdly. Not long after, they were called out to be choose. The heads of each branch said their things and let them decide. Erwin Smith, the 13th commander of the Survey crops said the last speech and told everyone to go if they didn't want to join him.

Eventually, people started dispersing until eventually no less then 25 stood there without moving. Out of the 10 top cadets 9 of them joined the survey corps. The only one that didn't was Marco. Including the top 9 other people like Armin, Krista and Yimir who follows Krista around.

The next few days were spent getting ready to move to their respective locations. One morning Aria woke up in a sweat. Lying next to her was Annie who felt the disturbance, she looked towards Aria and asked "Are you alright?"

Aria calmed down and said "I feel like something bad will happen" Annie raised her brows and replied "What?"

Aria shrugged "I dont know, really. Although i could look into the future. I don't dare" she got up and went to clean up. Annie followed and enquired on the subject "Why?"

"When one looks into the future, he or she finds only bad never good. Over my past experiences i only saw death. When i was only a 2 months old i saw my fathers death, it was horrible. After that, my relationship with him never deepened." After hearing this, Annie regretted saying what she said she quickly apologised" "im sorry"

Aria nudged it off and said "Its fine"

After cleaning, they reported to their supervisors and were assigned a task. Today's task was for both of them to report to the wall and start cleaning the cannons on top of the wall. It wasn't a hard job so they didn't complain. After equipping their ODM gear they walked to the edge the wall. Looking up, they saw how tall it was. Aria could only stare. Annie also had a similar reaction. Using their ODM gear, they flew up the wall until they reached the top.

After landing perfectly on top, they were greeted by Eren and Connie. After a small chat, they got back to cleaning. During it, Eren came up with an interesting topic. He started talking about the outside world and how big it was. After the small talk, Aria had a funny idea.

"Eren, as Mikasa is part of the Asian clan. Would you believe there to be a whole country like her?" Eren turned to her and said "A whole country of Asians, i don know. If there was a would love to take Mikasa there." Eren smiled and got back to what he was doing. Aria smiled, walking back to Annie.

Turning her head, she saw Sasha walking hiding something in her coat. "umm, guys... i took some meat from the officers' food storage" Everyone looked over with pale faces. Eren quickly called out "Sasha, are you trying to get thrown into an isolation cell."

Connie quickly added "So you really are an idiot" Without listing Sasha continued. "Let's split it between us. We could put it in bread" saying while salivating

"Go put it back. Meat has become quite rare and valuable because of the land we lost" Connie added. However Sasha still didn't listen and said "It'll be fine" while putting the meat in a small storage box.

One of the people on duty suddenly said "Ill have some of the meat" people also caught on and started saying that they wanted some as well. Aria also nodded towards the comment and got back to work. "We've still got a while until lunch, hold on"

As they started working again, suddenly, a large flash of yellow light appeared in front of the wall. Aria noticed this and widened her eyes. Time seemed frozen, the training cadets were just staring at the colossal Titan. A large explosion was set of and the wall was breached, the head front he colossal titan also sent the people flying off. Aria saw Annie look at it and brace herself. She also did the same as they got blown off the wall.

after free falling for a little, they managed to reattach them selves to the wall. Annie quickly flew over to Aria to check up on her. After confirming the situation, they both saw Eren fly up. Aria looked back down and asked Annie "Is that Bertholdt." Annie nodded and Aria looked up and the people on the wall "Hey, were going to report to our seniors" They looked at the 2 and nodded.

While flying through the town, Annie looked over and said "Thanks for getting us out of there" Aria smiled and said "Why are you thanking me, all i did is get us to report to our seniors"

"I didn't really want to be there, if Bertholdt saw us together it would be weird" Annie looked a little red while saying it. Aria smirked and said nothing. After reporting, they both were sent a large court yard to wait for more instructions.

While that happened, Eren had failed in killing the colossal titan and went back to the large court yard to report. Time went on and the court yard filled up with many recruits. The person in charge suddenly shouted "SILENCE, THE FRONT LINE WILL BE FILLED WITH THE FRONT LINE GARRISON UNIT. THE SECOND LINE WILL BE FILLED WITH CADET SQUADS UNDER OUR CONTROL. AND THE LAST LINE WILL BE FILLED WITH THE GARRISON ELITE UNITS."

He proceeded to tell them about the current situation, about how the vanguard had already been annihilated. the cadets gasped for breath. The Titans have already entered and they needed to help citizens escape and keep the Titans at bay.
