15 Wind Profound Energy

"What should we do?" Gong Yuxian, The current Palace Mistress asked the Grand Mistress.

Feng Qianhui, the Grand Mistress, asked Chu Yueli to come to visit as well. The younger fairy told in depth about her encounter with Xiao Long.

The Older Fairy remembered the 1000 Year prophecy which their Palace Founder Mu Bingyun said would happen.

The time was just about right, and the circumstances of the Blue Wind Empire are obvious. A major shift is happening.

To weather this Frozen Cloud needs to act…

"When our Palace was founded nearly 1000 years ago our Founder Mu Bingyun received a vision, this vision had two outcomes, either our Palace will disappear to the sands of time or we flourish."

"...Grand Mistress…"

"Xiao Long is the key, he has the power to do such things. As Young Master of the Supreme Ocean Palace, he can easily decide the fate of the whole Blue Wind Empire." The oldest Fairy said, with a pondering look. She realised that all the things are falling into place.

The only issue is what her Palace will do.

"...I understand Grand Mistress, However… What can we possibly do to get his attention? Resources are something he gets from the whole of the Profound Sky Continent, our arts don't fit with him, and he has Monarchs who will do anything he asks…" Gong Yuxian said with a frown as she realised that they got back to square one.

"Yuxian… You are right. The only thing I can see is we could offer what Chu Yueli gave."

"...This… could work… however…" Sure they could offer him Ice Profound Energy, but…would that bring the Golden Age the Grand Mistress was speaking about? Becoming some glorified Ice Profound Energy collectors?

"Yes…I understand what you are saying. If you have a better proposal I am listening."

The Palace Mistress for a moment didn't say anything, just thought about the situation.

She recalled that the girl who declined to join the Frozen Cloud now was his wife and Future Mistress of Supreme Ocean Palace.

The girl did nothing but married him and now she will enjoy all the privileges of Sacred Ground.

This made her…jealous? Of a junior?

Preposterous!

"I am sure he would like to have more servants and maids. He is making many pills for the merchant guild; he would need extra hands." Gong Yuxian said that without even thinking, her mind was away when she said that.

"..."

Chu Yueli and Feng Qianhui looked at Gong Yuxian for a while.

"...That is a possibility. However…"

What she said is true, but their Palace Grounds have many rules. One of them forbade having a relationship outside the Palace.

Becoming a maid and a servant would break such rules.

Regardless of what they decided this has stuck with Chu Yueli who experienced what it means to get attention from him.

My gaze ended up on my flames. If I recall correctly the Burning Heaven Clan has ways to improve the flames to the point that they change colours.

Though if I focus on the wind, I could technically improve the flames. 

'Hoh…that reminds me… I still need to grasp Wind Profound Energy!

Yes!

That should be the key to improving my alchemy flames as well!'

"Young Master? You have been spacing out for a while now."

"It's fine, Lingxi. I was thinking about how to proceed from here."

"Proceed?" She asked me with a curious tone.

"Yes. My Alchemy has reached a bottleneck, to improve it I need a breakthrough." 

"Do you have some ideas about what to do next?"

"Yes. To melt the Desert flower I learned how to channel Fire Profound energy, so the next proper course of action is to learn Wind Profound Energy."

"Oh…I see… I didn't know the Master is taking steps like this to produce Alchemy flames…" 

"Don't worry Lingxi~" I pulled my maid into a hug. Her reaction was that coy smile on her lips. She is enjoying these 1 on 1 moments in the warehouse.

"I will teach you how to produce flames…what do you say about learning some Alchemy?"

"...You think I could learn how to make pills?" 

"Why not? You are a good cook."

"Master, what does cooking have to do with anything?" She asked with a pout. 

"Pretty much everything," I said while my other hand went to the chin and started to stroke her lower lip.

"When you cook you watch the flames, observe the food, it's a balance between raw and overcooked. It's that sweet middle that you need to watch."

"...I-I see… are you teasing me on purpose?" She asked with a slowly growing blush.

"Are you saying that I can't tease my Lingxi?"

"...N-No… There is that thin line between teasing and bullying as well."

I smirked hearing that.

"There is. Shall see how far we push this line?" 

"I-If Master wants to have Lingxi in this place…I-I don't mind…"

"...Hmm…we can have some 'practice' and then I can teach you a few arts~," I said with a suggestive tone as the girl had a lustful glint in her eyes.

That day Xiao Lingxi was busy, Xiao Long had taught her an array of Arts he developed himself and she was quite tired from 'practice'.

The stuff she learned:

[Profound Energy Control] to control flames, [Profound Fire] to produce flames, [Alchemy Flames] to create gentle flames, [Orange Flames] the offensive flames, and lastly [Basic Refinement].

However, this was where he noticed that even if he taught her to wield these arts a lot will depend on her comprehension. 

Weirdly enough… She didn't show any Ancestral Goddess extreme level of comprehension.

Regardless this is where he recalled that Profound Arts in this world can be transmitted through letters as well.

The Ice Phoenix manual is quite simply left in Frozen Cloud… on a wall…

Though the issue is that you need Blood of a Divine Ice Phoenix to learn it.

After thinking for a while Xiao Long finally decided on the course of action that he wants to do in the next few weeks. After all, he needs to wait for the Phoenix Emperor to return to him.

That Emperor already paid for the 300 sensitivity pills and 80 Vitality pills, but he still needs to deliver stuff for those 30 purifying pills.

Until then he can't go anywhere. Xiao Long already has some plans to explore the North of the Blue Wind Empire. The closest different biome is the ice one up there. 

It should have some grass or herbs which are resistant to Ice and cold. 

Apart from that he needs to improve some of his fighting abilities. He hasn't touched much of it after getting into alchemy.

The perk of serving the Young Master of Supreme Ocean Palace is that their new Master is an Alchemist.

The Fifth Elder was the one who was lucky to be chosen by the Sovereign of the Seas to be his bodyguard.

His cultivation was not as high as the Seven Venerable Ones, the top elders who are at [Ninth of Sovereign Profound] to [Tenth of Sovereign Profound]. No, the Fifth Elder was middle of the pack as they say. 

[Sixth of Sovereign Profound] is impressive, but this was his limit. He was at this bottleneck for hundreds of years. 

That was until he was chosen as Bodyguard to Young Master.

Unlimited amounts of pills like sensitivity pills, Vitality pills, and purifying pills. 

The Young Master himself handed over the pills and told him to cultivate. 

And so just a few days into the new service Fifth Elder already had a breakthrough and reached [Seventh of Sovereign Profound].

Just opening a pair of Profound Entrances was enough.

This made the old man nearly cry. He is certain that this time his limit will become the peak [Sovereign Profound]!

All thanks to his new Young Master!

Truly genius like no other!

Sensing that his Young Master is calling the Monarch swiftly moved to this location.

"Young Master, you called?"

"Yes. Your senses are far superior, is there any windy location around this area?

Preferably a mountainous area."

Looking around for a bit the Monarch scanned the surroundings.

"Hmm, This old man can sense such an area."

"Good. Then take me there."

Without wasting any more time the Fifth Elder's Profound Energy surrounded the Young Master and the pair was gone.

Seconds later Xiao Long was on the edge of the world as they say.

He looked at the Ocean it was expanding as far as he could see. The teen was looking at the ocean before looking around. He was standing on a cliff down there where the waters… while on the other side of this mountain chain, was the continent and his city at the horizon. 

"The wind here is strong…" The Young Master said with a satisfied look.

Truthfully it was so strong that it was ruffling his clothes relentlessly, he needed to use his Profound Energy to cover himself just so that he could hear and see.

"Fifth elder, how are your mountain cutting skills?" 

"Reporting to the Young Master, I have some practice in such a thing."

"Good. You see that mountain over there? That's the mountain that will be added to the clan grounds. I want the wind from the Ocean to reach that mountain peak. This way when my clansmen practise they get strong winds to improve their Xiao arts."

"Understood. Such a thing can be easily done."

The elder moved and pulled out a sword from his space storage. After finding a specific mountain blocking the view he swung his sword and released a torrent of sharp energy. 

With a single swing, the mountain's top was sliced off.

Before the sliced top can land a single hand thrust sends the top flying into the ocean.

Once this was done the elder returned to the Young Master who was already busy meditating.

The old man was wondering why he wanted to meditate in such a windy place…

An hour later he understood why…

The youngster picked up something! 

As the teen got up on his feet he started to practise martial arts, this was the first time he saw him practise, and it was unique…

To say the least! 

The Palace's Young Master was getting better and better with just a few minutes of practice before he started to use wind! 

'This is… he learned to convert his Profound Energy into Wind Profound Energy!

Genius!'

A few moments later flames burst into existence and arcs of flames started to follow Xiao Long!

'This is… he is weaving them!'

This has surprised the old man quite a bit! He had never seen two types of energies work together like this!

Sometime later burning Hawk manifests from the winds, flying around before exploding into large explosions, after practising he summons a simple sword.

The Fifth Elder paid extra attention here as he saw his Young Master use the same weapon he was using. 

Though once again the old man was intrigued by Wind and Fire coming together to make this simple sword into a lethal weapon as a small tornado would engulf the blade it would get on fire as soon as the Young Master started to practise the sword arts. 

A few hours later it was over.

"I am done here, Fifth Elder, you can take me home."

"Of course, Young Master."

Today the Fifth Elder was shown why the Sovereign of the Seas took Xiao Long under her wing.

'Wind is fascinating… it's the flow… while fire is like the current. They work together so seamlessly when you discover that perfection ratio…'

'These two are extremely important to master, I even increased my fighting techniques a little bit.'

'My splash damage move went up.'

'Then the hand-to-hand art, I should involve some of the fire into it…but first I should develop immunity to flames to get the most out of it.'

'And lastly my pride and joy…the sword arts!'

[Burning Whirlwind Sword] (4/10) {2.15%}

'I made it go up by two levels! I have some ideas on how I will improve it to the next overall level, I do want to see how far this style can go until I would need to reinvent myself.'

After returning from the mountain cliff I went back to my house.

Since there was some time left before going to bed, I decided to finally check all the stuff I got as gifts. I only used the pills given to me by my grandmother, I still got stuff from my grandfather and the Phoenix Emperor.

Slowly, I opened a wooden box with the Black Moon symbol on it. 

10 small fist marble-like cores made from concentrated Profound Energy were inside of it. These were the [Sky Profound] Profound Cores.

I picked one up… a simple scan later I realised that they have impurities…

In truth, from my research in the Xiao Clan library, it's reported that One should not by any chance absorb the energy raw from the Core as it would be messy and it would destabilise the Profound energy in one's Profound Veins.

That's why they are refined into pills, but even pills are not that great if they are not purified.

'Is it just me but none around knows how to properly purify?' 

After inspecting them all, I opened another exquisite box and it had three Profound cores at [Emperor Profound].

And lastly, the smallest box had a [Tyrant Profound] core.

'If I am not wrong, there are only [Tyrant Profound] weapons around this continent.'

Regardless, all cores had impurities…

'Perfect training materials…'

I smirked for a second before taking [Sky Profound] core and started to purify it with Purifying flames.

A couple of hours later I was finally done! I checked the progress in my Profound Arts window.

'Damn…I need to purify cores more often!'

After dealing with the cores I summoned the recipe book and started to skim through the pages.

'Interesting… stuff… but I will need a translator for some of the materials… or I should just send the list to Black Moon guild and my old man will collect stuff for me?'

'Heh…I'm already calling him old man…'

After checking some of the pills I pulled out the pills given to me by my grandmother. 

I checked the [Earth Profound] pills.

'three, nine, thirteen, seventeen, nineteen…' 

'That's too many! These pills will only work to the middle stages of [Earth Profound] after that they are not that useful.'

That moment I realised that I can share the excess with my ladies.

While Grandmother said that they are for me, the excess is something she never considered…

So, I took three pills and purified them. 

Once I was done I called forth a family meeting.

Sounds strange and at the same time amusing…

A few short minutes later all three girls were sitting in front of me, they all were curious about what I had to say. 

"I purified some pills. So, Yue'er come over and sit in front of me and turn around, show me your back."

"..."

She followed my command and sat down, showing me her back.

I pulled out a pill and handed it over to her. 

"Swallow it, I will help you with energy circulation."

"Understood."

The girl swallowed and soon enough the energy erupted like a volcano inside of her.

I put my hand on her back and started assisting with the energy circulation…

The girl's Cultivation started to spike.

Breaking into [Third of True Profound], then fourth, fifth, sixth, and stopping at [Seventh of True Profound].

Once the surge calmed down Xia Qingyue's breathing turned slightly haggard as she slowly stood up.

"H-Husband…T-This is…amazing!" 

"Yes, though now you won't be able to cultivate properly for a while."

She nodded at me, though her excitement didn't dissipate.

"It's fine! Qingyue is just happy that you gave her such a pill."

"Don't worry. Now adjust for a bit. I still have to help the maids."

"Un!"

Next was Xiao Lingxi, her cultivation soared as well. Going from [Seventh of Nascent Profound] to [Third of True Profound].

And lastly, it was Xia Dongling who just recently broke through to [Nascent Profound] 

"M-Master…are you sure you want to use such an expensive pill on me?"

"Relax and take your seat."

The maid sighed and took her seat. Soon after she took the pill and her Profound energy started to spike.

Swiftly passing through second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and stopping at late [Ninth of Nascent Profound].

"Phew… that was intense…Dongling, you will need to spend some time stabilising your foundations as the spike in Profound energy was immense."

"...Yes…Young Master…"

"Good girl. Now I am going to teach you how to control your Profound energy."

"...As you wish." 

From the looks of it, she was very reluctant as she would gaze at her Mistress…

I snorted internally how amusing these dynamics are.
