37 Arriving at Ten Thousand Beast Mountainside

Xia Qingyue hugged her husband's arms as the pair proceeded to walk out from the manor.

"Umm…where is everybody?"

"We moved out months ago, into a bigger manor in the expanded territory."

"Oh…"

The beauty was having a bad feeling about this. A bigger manor means more people can live inside of it.

"Is the expanded area finally finished with construction?"

"Yes. We got extra manpower. We even got a multitude of [Sky Profound] experts to help."

"Oh…where did they come from?"

She was wondering if his new grandmother sent over some lackeys to help her husband with menial tasks. 

"Xiao Sect. They tried to infiltrate the Clan, so I forced them to dissolve and added them to the clan."

"...I see… makes sense."

Though internally, she was worried that a large influx of people could mean any sort of females could be added to his service. 

Especially when she was away! She hasn't established her authority over them!

"Yes, so our numbers went up by around 10 times."

"... Won't that threaten the clan's stability?"

The beauty slowly nodded her head as she proceeded with what he said.

"So it was not hard to get the whole Sect on my side while I left his family brood alone without any support they could rely on."

"As expected from my husband." She said as she snuggled into his arms.

What a move. He made the whole sect abandon the Sect Master and his family!

"...You said an abomination…who is he?"

"He is dead and you should not worry about him."

He nodded as they dropped the subject. Instead, they proceeded to walk around the newly expanded territories. 

Xia Qingyue saw the gardens, which made her curious about the bubble-like layer and the impressive amount of heat inside this area.

After explaining how this is a very specific method of raising herbs and plants with Fire Profound Energy, the pair continued with their trip.

A few minutes later they arrived at the training grounds.

This was where the beauty saw the tall building which looked like it was made from Profound Energy. There were a lot of people waiting for their turn as well.

"That's the pagoda. Inside it, there is a Ten Thousand Beast Array. It can spawn Profound Beasts to fight."

"...Impressive. Husband, you have been busy!" 

"In a way? I just waited for my darling to come out from her cultivation~" As he said that he pulled her into a hug making her blush like a tomato. 

It's especially visible on her skin.

"...Un… I apologise. I won't be doing such a thing again to you."

Eventually, the hugging stopped as the pair continued to explore. 

After some time the beauty noticed something.

As he said that he picked her up in Princess Carry and then proceeded to fly to the corner of the floating island. 

Xia Qingyue's eyes widened as she saw… an edge! 

The moment they landed she could see what was at the bottom of the edge. She could see green… It looks like grasslands and rivers… 

It's like a land they look at from high above… and not only that but they are moving!

"...We are flying…"

"Yep. We are flying towards the Blue Wind Imperial Capital." 

After a few moments, she processed what he said.

"...Why there?"

"The Emperor is sick. I will see if I can do anything to save him."

She slowly nodded hearing that. The beauty thought that there is something more to this but she didn't ask.

After checking the edge, the pair proceeded to return to the clan.

It was time for her to see the new manor.

Once over there, she could sense how…strong everyone was!

This was maddening! The weakest person was a small Realm higher than her! While the strongest…she could not even sense it properly!

"What is it Yue'er?"

"...So strong…"

"Well, you have been away for five months. So it is expected that my maids will become strong in that time gap."

All she could do was slowly nod. 

As the pair entered the manor. The Xiao maids looked slightly confused. As they saw this beautiful girl all over their Young Master.

Not many women of his can do that! Does this mean this is the infamous wife of his? Is she out of her indoor cultivation?

Xia Qingyue realised that her need for strength is making her husband open for females!

If she is more around him, then they would have a harder time asking him if they could join him!

So Xia Qingyue decided that she should just stick around her husband more often, instead of camping in their house!

The pair went to see Cang Yue, who was relentlessly practising her pill arts.

Her mastery over flames is quite high.

"You turned her into an alchemist?" The beauty asked with a shocked tone.

She has heard about Xiao Lingxi's talent for pills. But now he has a Princess and she is talented in pills!

"Yes. Her talent is with Alchemy. What I consider tier 2 Alchemy she has the talent to make pills with two sets of different elements. 

Something I can't ignore. So, I started to teach Alchemy."

Hearing how excited he was made Beauty weary of this Princess.

"Young Master?"

"Princess. This is my wife, Xia Qingyue." Xiao Long introduced the beauty who was hugging his arm. 

Cang Yue was shocked at how pretty she was. Especially her eyes… This was a Goddess walking among the men!

"Cang Yue greets Lady Xiao." The Princess cupped her fists towards Xia Qingyue.

The beauty could feel how happy Xiao Long was. This girl is humble and it's hard for Xia Qingyue to find any sort of faults…

After meeting Xiao Long talked more with the Blue Moon Princess before leaving her to practise.

"Yue'er, another thing. Your father has left the city and sold the family manor. I only found out about it after my clan took over the city."

"I have no idea. Regardless, I have bought the manor and asked Dongling to take care of it. She should have it organised and checked if anything went bad with your family home."

"C-Can we go see it?"

The Young Master nodded as he picked her up and flew out of the manor, towards the city. 

Few moments later, they landed in Xia Manor. Though instead of Xia Guards, it was Xiao Clan Guards, watching over the perimeter.  

As they landed, they were greeted by the guards. The Young Master motioned them to calm down, as the pair proceeded to enter into her manor.

Beauty explored the place for a while, finding that it was extremely empty like never before. All of her father's stuff was gone, assuming that he sold it. 

After checking everything out, they ended up in her room.

One thing is for sure. None of the stuff she left behind was touched. 

"Oh…this reminds me… Husband… you've never been in my room before."

As she said that she closed the door with Profound Energy.

This made him look at her with a raised eyebrow. 

"Someone is thinking naughty things?"

"I am… we are in my home. Which is empty at this moment. We can do anything we want."

As she said that she walked over in front of him. There was a certain look in her eyes.

"Very well… we have a whole house for ourselves."

Xia Qingyue's cultivation went from [Fourth of Spirit Profound] to [First of Earth Profound] over the whole week.

However, the first few days were not easy. Her Profound Energy leaned towards Yin now and exposure to her Husband's potent Yang made her pass out from that pleasure.

Though eventually she was able to resist, by that point she had lost quite a bit of time.

So she only reached the Earth Profound Realm, which made her happy and annoyed at the same time.

"Husband! I will be coming with you~" The Black haired wife of his 'glided' to his side as she hugged his arms. 

"Sure. Let's go."

"Where are we going?"

"To see Grandfather."

"Oh."

"Yes. You see we have arrived at Ten Thousand Beast Mountainside."

She raised her eyebrow trying to understand what it meant.

"This is the place where powerful Profound Beasts are roaming.

"Our goal is to get all of them. Especially the [Sky Profound] beasts, as they are the most valuable here."

Now she got it….

They are going to sweep the entire mountain for resources…

"...I see…"

With a nod, he picked her up and flew back to the Clan Grounds.

~~~~~~Xiao Long~~~~~~

My gaze ended up on the rows of [Sky Profound] experts. Several [Tyrant Profound] enforcers and my two bodyguards.

The objective of this is to collect every single Profound Beast from the mountainside. 

With three new [Sky Profound] cores and blood, I will be able to make another 3 Sky Profound ascension pills.

"Your objective is to collect all of the Profound Beasts in the forests below. Count your kills. You will be rewarded for those."

"Yes! As Young Master commands!"

Just like that, all of the clansmen rushed out to do their job.

The best part is that we don't need to stop the floating island. We can continue to leisurely move forward.

"Let's go Yue'er. let's wait and see how much loot we are going to get this time around."

"Un."

For this, we went to the edge of the floating island and watched the scenery in leisure. 

However, a few short hours later one of the bodyguards returned to see me.

"Young Master. There is a village at the heart of the Mountainside. There are some sort of ruins there as well.

"At this moment the village is under some sort of barrier. Some Mercenaries are trying to breach it."

'There it is. Finally, Phoenix spirit… I will have you join my glorious clan.'

"I see… Well, let's go see what this is. I have this feeling this will be interesting."

I got up on my feet. I helped my darling wife to her feet. 

Still, I didn't let her go, since she wants to come with me.

"Understood."

I started to float and then descended from the floating island towards the lands below.

My gaze ended up on a clearing in the middle of the forestry area. 

There was a barrier around the whole village, just outside of it there was a band of people. They looked like bandits.

"...They are not needed."

*Snap*

Hundred of Mercenaries froze into hundred of ice statues. With another hand motion, Profound energy gathered behind me and solidified into spears which I motioned to rain on the ice statues.

A shower of Profound Spears slammed into ice statues turning them into cold dust.

"One should not drop rubbish in wildness. Who knows what can happen."

"Un. Husband cares about nature."

"Indeed, I do."

With another hand motion, the earth fixed itself. There was nothing left, not a single drop of evidence that there were hundreds of horny and ruthless Mercenaries.

As we landed on the ground I looked at the shocked people on the other side.

A few moments later the barrier was removed.

"...Young Master… this…they… I can sense Phoenix bloodline…"

"...Yes, their Profound energy does emit Phoenix residue."

"...but it should be impossible…"

"Ancient Gods work in mysterious ways, Fifth Elder. Who knows how many Trial Grounds they have left."

"...Indeed…if this is true…Young Master…then we have discovered a treasure."

"Don't be so hasty, you can see that their cultivation is sealed or lowered. This Phoenix may be different from the one in the Divine Phoenix Empire."

The Monarch stiffed and nodded at my words before looking at the approaching people.

"...Young Hero. You have my thanks! This one's name is Feng Baichuan. These Mercenaries wanted to rob and have been trying to enter the village for weeks now!"

"Hmm. I see. My name is Xiao Long. I am the Young Master of Xiao Clan and Supreme Ocean Palace." At that moment I pointed at the sky as the Floating island was becoming more and more visible.

"My clan is right there."

His gaze went there. He looked shell-shocked to see a floating land mass.

"...I see…" 

"Yes. Well, I wish to speak with you. About this place. I can sense that you people have quite a bloodline."

This made him quite weary of me.

"...This…Young Master… are you willing to listen to my story?"

"I am."

"My thanks. Please, follow me."

We followed the man to his house.

"This is my wife. Feng Caiyun and our children Feng Xian'er and Feng Zi'er."

"Nice to meet you. I am Xiao Long. This is my wife Xia Qingyue. The old man behind me is my bodyguard, the Fifth Elder of the Supreme Ocean Palace."

After introductions are over. I went to the issue of the bloodlines. However, I could see how the girl was looking at me and my wife. Which is amusing, as my wife's hand clenched mine even stronger.

Is she wary of a small girl? How bad is she feeling about those five months?

"As you may have noticed, we do possess Bloodline of the Divine Phoenix."

I nodded at his words.

"But many generations ago, one of our ancestors burned a village by accident and killed several people.

"Because of that, our entire clan has been cursed to never reach the realm beyond peak [Elementary Profound]."

His words made the Elder behind me turn stiff. So he realised how serious bloodlines can be.

"Quite different from the Divine Phoenix Empire. They used their bloodline to conquer vast lands in the continent."

"...I see then they maybe don't have a Phoenix spirit which watches over."

"Or it was corrupted," I said with a shrug.

"Possible." Feng Baichuan said with a thoughtful look.

"Now to the matter at hand. I have a proposal for your clan."

"What kind of proposal?"

"I will remove the curse. In return, your village will join my clan." My proposal shocked them.

"...Young Master… we…can't leave these grounds…"

"I am not asking to leave anything. I will take this whole area with me. My clan lands will grow. And your village is part of that."

This made him stop and just space out. 

"Husband…I think you broke him." My wife said that to me as she was using my shoulder as a pillow to lay her head on.

"Understandable. I am offering him for his village to turn into a floating island."

"!?"

"Wa?"  The eight-year-old girl reacted the strongest to this.

"Father! Is the Young Master serious!? We will become a floating island!?"

"...I think so?"

"More precisely, this island will join mine via a bridge. Eventually, It will be like a floating archipelago."

"But…why?"

"Phoenix Spirit and its influence. I am an alchemist. And I grow herbs and fruits to make pills."

"...I see…can you give me several hours? I need to speak with the rest of the village."

"Of course. Take your time."

In the meantime, I can already start preparations for turning this place into a floating island.

I know well enough that the villagers won't say no to power and travelling without even leaving one's village.

While the village leader was having a meeting outside, we stayed inside the house and ate food prepared by the village leader's wife.

Though the small girl who constantly looked at me and Qingyue was making my darling wife act quite defensively which is amusing to no end.
