At The World's Edge

From the darkest to the golden age of the human civilization, you have seen kingdoms and empires rise and fall, forgotten and lost. This land we are living in, is now getting smaller and smaller as new kingdoms rise up upon the darkest age of humanity. Even the smallest of human society became a prestigious empire over the years of unity and feudalism. This land we once thought to be mysterious, is becoming more and more clearer as the greatest thinkers of humanity rose up from their deep silence. This land we once knew to be puzzling, is something that we now understand. Yet, even this land is nothing but a fragment of the vast world. The great body of water that serves as the world's edge and anything over it is something that we still don't understand. What's the reason why there are huge bodies of water around us? Why is it surrounding us? Is it because god solely made it to prevent us from escaping this land of heaven? Or is it made in order to protect us from the evil forces at the other side of the world's edge? That is something that we don't know. It has been troubling us ever since the birth of knowledge, of which our olden ways of primitive living and thinking changed drastically and is replaced by a new set of customs and ideals. Thus, it has been a thought-provoking question for all of us. Not for us but for the entire humanity itself. And because of this reason, many voyages had sailed throughout the continent to find out what lies at the world's edge. Some of those voyages never returned and some of them came back, dead Could this be an ominous sign? Or could it be that we are lacking in knowledge on how to traverse the roaring oceans safely?
