The look he gave Jareth already made the latter know that he was caught. There was no hiding it from him.

"I only want to see if she was awake already, then return to the banquet," Jareth lied.

"This banquet was held in honour of you and your brother. The celebrants cannot leave. You must return. Come let us go, if she wakes up, I will get the news first and let you know."

"Okay father." Not wanting his father to suspect anything, Jareth obediently followed the king and went back to the ball room.

All through the banquet, Blade (Jareth) wore his cold expression and only smiled when need arose.

He was mega tired and not ready for anything of that such but he had to play the path and playing it, he did.
