32 The Spirit of Wisdom

In the familiar dimension of darkness, Hei ponders to himself on what to make. "There are many types of weapons and methods of launching attacks and defenses. I should create a technique for moving and a technique for attack and defense. From that bastard dragon, I already understood the concepts behind movement techniques employment…"

Hei stands with his hands behind his back as he looks to the sky. If someone from the outside were to observe him right now, a sense of dread would probably fill their hearts as if looking at a dark entity of pure chaos. Just the casual energy radiated from his physique and the laws energy he was baptized in seem to create an invisible force field around him.

This is definitely something a 6 year old should not have in the slightest. "Seeing that moving through space-time, one can actually be like a fish, bird or cheetah….I will create a technique which doesn't mimic the movements but actually employ the usage of energy to actually recreate the fluidity of the animals."

With that thought in mind, Hei sits and meditates as he visualizes the 3 moving animals the movement spirit used. He constantly replays the movement of each in his head dozens of times. However, no matter how Hei looks on it, the fundamental parts of how the animals move never seem to come to mind.

"It seems I am missing something…I wonder what is it…The animals move…each are fast in their own domain due to how they move. I have seen how they move but it doesn't seem suitable to me since I do not have their bodies…Maybe…Hmmm…it's worth looking into…"

A thought comes to Hei's mind which seems a bit logical. "If I can actually look on how their bodies interacted with the environment along with their energy usage for each movement in regards to how their bodies are, I can simply adjust these energy movements for my physical body, making it unique to my body itself!"

Using this train of thought, Hei first looks back on the Demonic Cheetah running. Everything from that scene seems to breakdown in his mind as the scene is replayed constantly from different angles. "Ah, this dimension really is handy. Anything that happens here can be reviewed from a god's perspective."

As the Cheetah runs, the various meridians taking energy from the dantians located in the Cheetah. This energy is then sent to various parts of the body for each individual action for maximum speed. A specific mixture of energy can be seen throughout moving as if these combinations of the 3 different types of energies are what govern the entire set of actions.

"Shu, I want to ask a question…Tell me exactly how the body is and about usage of energy in general for cultivators." The ancient and calm voice of Shu rings out, "Not a problem Master, this I can do. Firstly each cultivator has 3 areas for storing energy. These 3 areas on a whole are called Dantians. These are the Heaven Dantian, Earth Dantian and Mortal Dantian."

Hei nods as he listens to the wise words of Shu. "The Heaven Dantian is responsible for storing the Astral Soul. This is located in the head of a cultivator. The Earth Dantian is located in the center of the chest. This is where the power of one's bloodline and or physique is stored. Finally, the Mortal Dantian is where one actually cultivates their own energy on their martial path. This is located in the lower abdomen."

"All three areas are connected by Meridians which are the pathways that allow energy to flow. That said, whenever a technique is employed, energy from these Dantians will be used. Due to Master not cultivating as yet, the physical energy in the Mortal Dantian is nonexistent for now. However, your other 2 dantians currently have more than 12 times the amount the average person of your age would have and 6 times the amount someone in the Foundation Step would possess."

"As someone cultivates their Mortal Dantian, the Heaven and Earth Dantians will increase in strength naturally. The further one cultivates, the dantians will play very important roles and will need specific cultivation. For now, Master wants to create a cultivation art to fight the shameless dragon. My advisory is to begin the process of entering the Foundation Step. Upon being able to gather energy from all 3 Dantians, Master can have an easier time creating his cultivation art."

Hei smiles slightly and replies, "If that's the case, I can actually begin cultivating for a little, then create the cultivation art and finally, kick the dragon's ass. How do I begin cultivation?"

"This is the simple part Master. Cultivators are able to gather energy from resources or nature itself by using their Heaven and Earth Dantians. The energy from these dantians acts as a magnet to natural astral essence. Upon drawing in the astral essence, the energy is sent through the Meridians and to the Mortal Dantian. The amount of energy from the Heaven and Earth Dantians that was used to attract astral essence will also be sent to the Mortal Dantian to be mixed with the new astral essence."

"Astral Essence found in nature meaning the surroundings is called Nature Essence. The best kind to get is from stars in the sky and celestial bodies in general. Astral Essence found in the Heaven Dantian is called Heavenly Essence while the one found in the Earth Dantian is called Earth Essence. The mixture of Heavenly and Earth Essence creates Mortal Essence."

"This is why whenever one cultivates the Mortal Dantian, the others will be affected. The constant draining of these dantians will slowly increase as it replenishes itself. By releasing the energy of the Heaven and Earth Dantians, various phenomena can be present in the skies related to stars."

"The first part of cultivation is the Foundation Step. Unless one fully completes this step, the Martial World will never consider you a true cultivator. This step is further broken down into 3 realms. These 3 realms are then broken down into 3 stages. These stages are Beginning, Middle and Later. The 3 realms are the Body Refinement Realm, Spirit Refinement Realm and Soul Refinement Realm."

Hei claps a bit as fascination can be seen in his eyes, "Excellent! Then I have a general understanding of what cultivation is like. Do tell me more!" Obvious excitement and probably affection can be seen in Hei's eyes as if he were some cultivation maniac. Nothing so far has even slightly made him react this way.

Shu continues without hesitation, "Completing of this step is basically creating the perfect foundation for cultivation. With this, one would actually be able to handle the upcoming cultivation trials. The Body Refinement Realm requests one to refine the skin, flesh, muscles, bones, meridians and inner organs. This refinement is done with Mortal Essence. The first stage requires the skin, flesh and muscles to be refined. The second stage requires the refinement of the bones and meridians. Finally, the inner organs are refined for the last stage."

"With the fact that Master is a genius and managed to withstand baptism by the heavens, Master's body is superior to others now even before refinement. Master's natural physical body should be twice the general strength level of someone who has already completed the Body Refinement Realm. However, Master still has to do this. Furthermore, completing this Realm for Master will be easier than anyone simply due to Master's natural born affinity to energy along with the saturation of energy from the baptism from the heavens."

Hei tries to keep calm as he looks on the many possibilities. "Fine, I will begin cultivating for a 2 hours. Then I will spend some time to deal with the cultivation art that holds attacking, defending and movement techniques!"

"If that is what Master wishes to do, then no problems with this tree." Hei calmly begins to meditate as he slowly thinks, "Hmmm…Shu is really The Spirit of Wisdom. His knowledge and understanding knows no bounds…With this help, I can actually begin cultivating. Let's try this out!"

Hei calms his heart as he slips into deeper meditation. His mind focuses on his entire being as he slowly senses the location of his 3 dantians. He slowly and carefully galvanizes the energy from his Heaven Dantian. This Heavenly Essence slowly begins moving around in his Heaven Dantian and actually begins drawing energy from his dimension. This pure astral essence is seemingly being held by the Heavenly Essence and slowly moves towards Hei's Mortal Dantian."

Without stopping, Hei continuously uses Heavenly Essence to attract more Nature Essence and sends it with the Heavenly Essence to his Mortal Dantian. He keeps at it without hesitation until his entire Heaven Dantian actually runs out of Heavenly Essence. His face is actually wet with sweat but a faint excitement can be seen on his face.

Inhaling and exhaling for a bit, Hei begins drawing upon the Earth Essence found in his Earth Dantian. This in turn begins pulling in more Nature Essence as if a vacuum is taking in air. Hei seems to get the hang of pulling in energy as his speed seemingly doubles. Massive gusts of Nature Essence are actually taken in by his Earth Dantian and are then sent through his Meridians and to his Mortal Dantian.

The Mortal Dantian in Hei's body seems to actually have an endless capacity as it doesn't seem to be filled. Even though all his Earth Essence is used up, he seems to still have space. Only a few minutes have passed since Hei actually began absorbing energy. Hei calmly senses the various kinds of energy slowly fusing in his Mortal Dantian which then seems to actually create something new.

This new energy seems much fiercer than any one out of the three types of energy used to create this new energy. The Heavenly Essence seems light but potent while the Earth Essence seems sturdy and Dominant. Nature Essence seems swift and gentle without any true direction. However, when all begin interacting, the energies seem to combine to create a dense and powerful kind of astral essence. This Mortal Essence actually seems much more horrible than normal astral essence.

Hei actively tries to fuse the energy and notices that the various kinds of energy actually interact and combine at a much faster rate. After almost an hour, Hei notices that surprisingly, the previously barely full Mortal Dantian is actually brimming with energy. The new product seems to somehow have expanded and increased in density once it is fully combined.

His Mortal Dantian seems extremely stuffed with this new found Mortal Essence. "What if someone actually does not use the Mortal Essence currently in their dantian and adds more energy again even though it's full? Hei ponders as he asks a random question.

Shu replies with a bit of haste, "That could be extremely dangerous. This is something persons never do since the possibility of breaking the Mortal Dantian and causing permanent damage is highly possible." Hei nods but in his mind, he thinks, "If that's the case, what if I actively try to contain and compress the energy?"

Hei sits and actually waits on his Heaven and Earth Dantians to fully recover. Due to the abundance of quality of his bloodlines, spirits and physique, in a little over an hour, he is actually fully back to normal.

"Let me see…I will have to be extra careful." Before Shu is able to utter a word, a large amount of Nature Essence can be seen quickly enter Hei's body. Without hesitation, Hei forcefully begins sending this Nature Essence along with Heavenly Essence and Earth Essence straight towards his Mortal Dantian.

As the slightest of energy reaches his Mortal Dantian, a terribly sharp pain can be felt in his entire Mortal Dantian. Hei almost jumps in pain but forcefully stays still. Instead of overreacting, he actually uses all his might to compress the already present Mortal Essence in his dantian. This Mortal Essence slowly comes together and barely gets smaller, making a little space for more energy.

However, the more Hei looks, the more his plan seems like it was a bad gamble. Hei's astral spirits all look on him with worry from every corner of the dimension. Shu's voice echoes out with a bit of worry, "Master…you took in too much energy, you will have to do something to essentially create space in your dantian or somehow expel the energy…or else…your future will be doomed."

As if hearing the worst words possible, Hei's eyes snap open as a crazed look can be seen in them. Madness can be clearly seen on his face as cold sweat washes his entire body. "What to do? All this energy is coming towards my Mortal Dantian…regular compression won't help!" Hei thinks of everything he has used or done before but nothing seems to come to mind that can solve this situation.

He clearly feels his Mortal Dantian slightly swelling as if it is about to give way and not even a 10th of the previously absorbed energy has been sent to his Mortal Dantian. "Only skill I know which I can try…." Hei grits his teeth as a determined look flashes past his eyes. Within his Mortal Dantian, he stirs the previous made Mortal Essence to not come out or simply compress itself, but instead begins using up the energy to form inscriptions!

Within his Mortal Dantian, Hei begins forming many Astral Inscriptions. These inscriptions are actually Umbra Thunder-Fire inscriptions. Each inscription radiates the calmness before a terrible storm. What pleasantly surprises Hei is that each inscription formed seems to actually take up way less space than before due to the Mortal Essence being compressed and transformed into this new form.

By the time Hei finishes using the previously created Mortal Essence to make inscriptions; a little over 20 can be seen floating in his dantian. Furthermore, Hei feels like he has space for at least 2 times what he currently has! Hei nods to himself as a faint smile can be seen on his face. "Seems I discovered something new…The world shall never know of this discovery!"
