2 That's My Name

In the Clan Leader's personal pavilion stands a middle aged man. He listens to a story which makes him more shocked the more he listens. His blood red hair almost stands straight as he gulps in both shock and fear.

His usually majestic and superior aura has no diminished to one of pure shock and confusion. He looks straight at Liu Xuanhong as he narrates the entire proceedings of last night's 'divining'. As he is finished, he shakes his head and states, "I do not know what it was but it is more than likely a Colossan. Only a Colossan would be that gigantic."

"But why would a Colossan interrupt the divining ceremony and furthermore, how did it do it? Is that really the result of his future possible spirit? Does that mean some extreme powerhouse from the Colossan race has their eyes on him?"

The red haired middle aged man shakes his head and utters, "How could Hong'er and kiddo Tian produce a child with such bad luck? You know how those Colossans are. They are naturally gigantic and their personalities are eccentric and ill proportioned as their bodies in this world."

"I do not know why a Colossan would set their eyes on little Hei but the only thing that we should do right now is keep this a secret and observe him. 9 years from now, he will undergo the usual Astral Awakening Ritual. Since it will coincidentally be held here, many peak clans will gather here so we must be careful. If we notice anything strange, we might as well not let him participate."

"The other clans might think we are affiliated with Colossans and that would become a disaster. The current deadlock between the Beasts, Demons, Colossans and Humans is something that hasn't changed in the last billion years. The slightest of events could lead to a massive change in this deadlock…."

Liu Xuanhong nods, "Tianxuan, remember when we first met at the Astral Awakening Ritual held at my Zhu Heavenly Astral Clan? We made a vow that whenever we got older and dominated our generation, if we so happened to get children of opposing genders, we would name them after each other."

"It so happens that we did and you had the Tian from my name as your son and I had the Hong from your name for my daughter. I think that was the best decision we have made since we have known each other."

"Furthermore, we haven't made any other wrong decisions. If the Colossans want little Hei for some reason, then there must be something remarkable about him that would let them covet him. We should raise him well but in secret. This conversation should remain between us 2." Liu Xuanhong nods in agreement.

--------- 6 Years Later ---------

"Big Brother Hei, this birthday party is gonna be fun!" Big Brother Hei, we are gonna get many gifts and many of our friends will be here! It's gonna be so fun!" Two cute little children, who look extremely similar to each other, except for their hair colors, enthusiastically shake their brother as they rejoice.

The first is dressed in a beautiful white dress adorned with pink flowers that matches her pure white hair and pink hairpins jumps for joy as she shakes her big brother. The second is dressed similarly but her dress is scarlet red like her hair with white flowers and white hairpins matching. She shakes her brother too as she hopes to get a reaction out of him.

Unfortunately, the calmly sitting little boy with jet black hair and is dressed in a simple black hooded robe has no reactions at all. He seems to be sleeping deeply at the moment under a beautiful cherry blossom tree. The shaking of the children allows the tree to slightly shake, causing cherry blossoms to slowly flutter down and gently land on their bodies.

The little girl dressed in white sighs as she comments, "Big Brother Hei is always sleeping deeply and whenever he is awake, he doesn't really interact with anyone. The most he would do is rub our heads…No fair! Sister Fei Hong, you think Big Brother Hei doesn't love us?"

"Nonsense Sister Bai, he probably just doesn't like playing…or talking…or anything…." Their eyes begin to water as they get the feeling their brother probably doesn't love them. A calm voice echoes behind the 2 children in an assuring tone. "Your big brother definitely loves you both. He is just like father, that's why he doesn't really talk or interact with others. Guess how long father took to talk to Mother when we first met?"

The children shake their heads in expectation to this interesting story. Zhu Hong'er slowly puts up 6 fingers. "It took 6 years before he uttered the word 'Hi' and another year for him to actually call my name!" Both children look a bit dazed as they laugh a bit.

"Father and Big Brother Hei are weirdoes", "yeah yeah, weirdoes". Both children utter as they all begin laughing. Zhu Hong'er holds both their hands and smile. "Let's not disturb little Heir anymore. He is probably resting. Why don't we go visit grandfather Zhu?" Both children scream a 'hurray' as they excitedly exit with their mother.

In a world so familiar but totally unusual, little Hei sits down calmly on a weird chair. It appears to be made of pure stone but is pure black and is suspended in midair. Below him, a land filled with gigantic land masses, forests, streams, rivers and all sorts of weird creatures can be seen.

A simple stone tablet is suspended in front of him as he continues to stare on it. Slowly, in the distance, a familiar black giant can be seen standing and staring at little Hei with his 'smile that does not seem like a smile'. It says, "These marks are all Astral Inscriptions, all directly related to the purest of laws of the dao. Every single inscription can be used to generate limitless power."

Little Hei nods and continues to stare at the tablet. Each inscription seems quite complex as it seems like they constantly change and rearrange themselves in different intricate positions while somehow maintaining a look of complete order and harmony.

Hei utters, "Ren…why?" The giant whose name is revealed to be 'Ren' replies in his version of 'gentle and kind' voice, which sounds grating and horribly evil, "Because that is what Ren is supposed to do. That is Ren's purpose…Master." Little Hei sighs, "then can you tell me your real name since such a simple name I gave you all those years ago in my naïve and childlike state shouldn't be suitable for you."

Ren smiles even wider as he says with 'affection', "Master's name for me is the best name Ren can possibly have. Man has no other name but the name Master gives Ren. Man thinks this name is most suitable."

As Ren finishes his words, a gigantic black tiger appears out of the air and stands to the side of little Hei as it echoes, "Master, Ren's words are the same for all of us, at least, I Mao believe so." The one known as 'Mao', a gigantic black tiger with a vicious face, pure black teeth with extremely sharp and dangerous fangs and fur that diffuses an evil and voracious aura calmly states in a matter of fact tone.

Many other weird and vicious looking creatures of different shapes and sizes all appearing dark and malicious appear as they state their opinions which all are similar…acceptance and loyalty to little Hei no matter what. Little Hei sighs as he says in a voice filled with emotion, "You all treat little Hei the best. I will never let you all down."

He nods as he glances to the side to see a small screen which is reflecting the outside world around his physical body clearly show a girl around his size smiling happily as she has a mischievous and childish look on her face.

She begins placing various flowers around Hei's body, then on his hair and then sprinkles cherry blossoms on his face. She giggles as she happily runs off. Hei shakes his head and mutters, "Shui…..Ling." Hei turns his head to look back on the tablet in front of him and continues to observe it as everyone else observes him. As they observe, they can see a slightly small smile plastered on his little kiddy face.

As Hei continues to observe the tablet, he notices that he has a fairly easy time understanding the laws governing the tablet. Furthermore, every small comprehension he achieves, it seems to fully merge in his entire being and becomes like second nature.

He finds this a bit strange but does not think about it too much. He merely continues to observe the tablet as the various inscriptions inscribe themselves on his every being. The more he comprehends, the more unfathomable the tablet seems.

This continues for a few more minutes until he stops and nods. Behind him, the inscriptions on the tablet slowly start forming from the darkness of the world right behind him. The inscriptions slowly rotate while interchanging with each other in a harmonious manner.

Then then slowly begin to form a single word from his will. It forms the character '黑'. The various inscriptions literally move together and forms the word black. Upon doing so, the previously calmly moving inscriptions begin rotating and interchanging with each other almost instantaneously while maintaining the character.

It begins diffusing a pitch black darkness which covers a large distance. It maintains this form for a few seconds then dissipates. Hei nods a little but doesn't seem too impressed. He thinks to himself, "I need to work on this some more".

If others were to know that a kid who is merely 6 years old is able to do something many of those old fogies who dedicate most of their lives to studying Astral Inscriptions are unable to do would definitely be shocked to the point of being completely startled.

Furthermore, those ancient powerhouses who were said to be highly gifted in Astral Inscriptions that are now dead would certain turn their graves a whole 9 times in shame and anger from such an accomplishment. Calling themselves ancient masters would be too much of a joke.

Mao slowly nods and couldn't help but exclaim, "Good work Master! Astral Inscriptions are excellent to learn. While you have not started to truly cultivate and have astral energy, you can always use the energy of this dimension to perform various feats both in here and in the outside world."

"Astral Inscriptions can be to give any object links with the laws that govern the heavens and the earth. Furthermore, it can make objects have a closer link with specific kinds of law energies. This can even be applied to living beings. What you just did with your name can also be said to be one of the most complex feats possible for Astral Inscriptionist."

"By using Astral Inscriptions to enhance a drawn character, one could easily release the purest kind of law energy related to that specific character. You're just too talented!"

Hei says with a look of calmness and no sort of joy or pride, "Without Ren providing me with this tablet along with the support from everyone, this would be impossible in a million years. One day I will certainly repay you all...certainly…"

Hei continues to practice creating the character for his name. Every character formed becomes more powerful than the other while the speed in which he forms it becomes increasingly faster. He might not notice it but every new character seems to possess a kind of charm that somehow reflects the true meaning of 'Hei'.

As he forms one last character for 'Hei', he notices that the character seems to give off a feeling of utter darkness, a pure and true absence of all forms of light. A thought comes to mind, "Should I also do this for my last name then? That should be interesting I guess." With that thought in mind, he scatters all the character for Hei. Then, he begins thinking and forms the Astral Inscriptions in their usual rudimentary form that constantly but slowly interchanges with each other.

He then slowly forms the character for his last name, '刘'. Upon doing so, he notices that the word diffuses an extreme form of killing intent which makes his heart shiver for a bit. The character for 'Liu' seems to give off feeling of killing intent and destruction. He nods a bit, feeling slightly satisfied. "I should continue to practice writing my last name for a while then I can observe this so called birthday part."

Hei once again begins forming his last name repeatedly, slowly making it easier for himself to not only create the character but in a much more smooth and casual manner. The more he repeats the action, the more it becomes natural.

This happens until he makes the last character for 'Liu' and notice it gives a pure feeling of killing intent and utter destruction. A thought comes to mind which makes a bit excited but unsure, "What would happen if I actually wrote my full name together? Now that should certainly be incredible…or dangerous! I like it!"

He dissipates the previous inscriptions then slowly begins to form both his names, the character for Liu and Hei. Upon doing so, he notices apart from the words being their singularly, there is nothing special which occurs. It's as if both words are there individually. He stares at the characters and slowly thinks,

"Nothing seems to be different. I wonder why? Wait…these Astral Inscriptions tend to have some sort of harmony with each other…that means I have to find a way to make the inscriptions have some sort of harmony with each other, following the principles of how it was before."

With that thought in mind, he slowly begins to draw his full name again, repeatedly experimenting while trying to find some sort of harmony. No matter how many times he draws the words and fail, he seems to not really mind and immediately continues to try.

Then, on one fateful attempt, he notices that words have some sort of brief but faint resonance with each other. Upon having that faint resonance for a single second, the 2 characters diffused a feeling of utter darkness with a desire to kill and destroy everything. The resonance then disappears.

He looks on this with a slight glint in his eyes. "That's the resonance. Think back to what I just did…let's see what was different from all the others." Hei begins to think back on what just happens and slowly compares them with all the other attempts.

Upon closer inspection, he begins to notice that 2 pairs of inscriptions seem to have been in the same positions and interchanged with each other at the same time. Realizing this, he is secretly dumbfounded at such a coincidence and then a thought appears in his head, "If that's the case, maybe I should make all the inscriptions appear in similar places."

With that thought in mind, Hei forms his full name again, meticulously making the 2 words possess inscriptions which form in similar locations and interchange at the same time in the same manner.

As both words are fully formed, the entire name radiates a dark and destructive killing intent with the desire to destroy all, completely obliterating all things of existence. Upon seeing this, a faint sense of accomplishment and joy appears on his face as he laughs a bit, "That's My Name".
